Hardcover Book

Title: just curious for non-e-readers. Do you wait for massmarket paperback? Or buy it and then re-sell it? Or what?:o just curious.

Does anyone else prefer Hardcover/Paperback books better than Ebooks. Not content wise but just personal preference. I personally like how I can read a Hardcover/Paperback book before bed while my phone is far away providing 0 distractions and no light on my eyes,it gives me a indescribable feeling and allows me to become more engaged faster.

For example, could you use DFA on the pages and then put it in a hard cover?

I don’t like that more paperbacks are coming with added story pieces. Is this a common practice? You get more for cheaper price? How do y’all fell. I’m referring to black spire book which just now is getting its paperback with added story.

So, I've started amassing the EU novels (I think I have around 90 of them currently). However, most are in paperback, which is obviously the most common type. I, however, would like to collect them all in hardcover, if possible (I realize this will probably be a long journey).

So I turn to this community for its knowledge. Are there any EU books that don't come in hardcover editions? or are there any weird ones like the Dark Nest trilogy and some of the NJO books where the only hardcover is combined with other books in the series?

I mean this: paperback bestsellers, hardcover bestsellers.

Why does print format matter so much that each gets its own list? It feels like such a meaningless distinction that I suspect that I'm missing some context.

What do we think the chances are of Taylor's team releasing a hardcover bound copy of the 4 Lover journals as part of the Lover merch cycle? I recently bought the Rep Hardcover Book during the Memorial Day Rep merch sale and I love the idea of displaying the dark edgy Rep one next to a light pastel Lover one in my bedroom. I feel like this totally could have been a Lover Fest merch item but with it being postponed I'm curious now if it could happen....

The cover was plainly purple except for the silver skull and thw writing on the spine. It did have a sleeve to it, but I remember removing it as a child so I only remember the actual cover of the book without it.

In the stoey there was one character I remembered from the book was a teacher who was very rich and was described as being richer than a specific country and Belgium combined?

I recently bought a Google photo book to give to my grandmother. It was the 7 x 7 softcover. The process was easy and it arrived quickly and it's a nice little book. The image quality, however, is not as good as I expected. The images look a bit aliased or maybe just plain low resolution printing. Definitely nowhere near what you get when you print photos at the pharmacy. Good enough for my grand mother but I had been wondering if I wanted to make an album of a trip I went on and I wouldn't want it to look like this.

So this brought up the question: does anybody know if the 9 x 9 hardcover books have better image quality? I.e. better enough to look great and be worth the expense?

Hello fellow ATLA fans. I was able to finally score a hardcover version of Rise of Kyoshi online thanks to BAM! (Books a Million). Its lesser known than Amazon and Barnes and Noble but still very reliable. However, there is a limited quantity online, so if anyone is trying to get it, I urge you to get it know before they go out of stock again. Cheers

I'm about to buy all 3 books again, due to some circumstances, and I'm thinking wether it's worth to save some money and buy the Pocket Editions. I loved the Hardcovers, and the art (like the Shallan illustration included on the rearguard of Words of Radiance) is simply something I cannot sacrifice. Do pocket editions of all 3 books include the same art and in-book illustrations (like the ones that show Shallan's drawings inside the book)?

I have books 5,6 and 7. I wanted to finish the collection but it almost seems impossible to get the first edition hardcovers anymore.

I'm just curious.

What's the best place to get all 24 individual full size books in hardcover? Every retailer seems to only have a selection of them. I don't like the collector's box where everything is smaller, gotta have the beautiful cover arts! Thanks

Looking for an extensive book with pictures to just open up at any point and get inspired for my next travel destination ?

For the hardcover version it's out of stock everywhere and over $100 on Ebay.

So I have recently gotten very ob̶e̶s̶s̶e̶d̶ interested with the Mage the Awakening game line. After a bunch of reading online, I was told that the 2nd edition is indeed better than the first for both setting/lore and gameplay. However, most of the supplements, I have been told are 1st edition to which people ha e told me both work and don't work with 2nd edition.

So I have two main questions:

1. Do the old supplement books (Tome of Mysteries, Astral Realms, Imperial Mysteries, Magical Traditions, etc) work with Mage the Awakening 2nd edition from a lore point of view? (I am more of a lore guy who finds that more important for inspirational character making and gaming purposes.)

2. Is there any recommendation on when one should purchase Hardcover and when one should purchase Softcover? I was under the impression that if its below 150 pages, get Softcover (most books below 150 are softcover anyways excluding Signs of Sorcery).

I currently have two potential list to buy currently:

1. Mage the Awakening 2nd edition (Hardcover, standard colour)
2. Signs of Sorcery (Hardcover, standard colour)
3. Tome of Mysteries (Hardcover, B&W)
4. Astral Realms (Hardcover, B&W)

Or

1. Mage the Awakening 2nd edition (Hardcover, standard colour)

Any chance that the beginning books will ever get another reprint in hardback? (Because I don't want my wife to be brought up on homicide charges if I spend $250+ on a single book...)

Just gad a guest who was sending books to a relative and one was a new release only in hardcover. Having sent MANY books to prisons for other guests they all have one thing in common. Prisons dont allow hardcover books due to the risk of being made into "other" items. I topd the guest as much, but she insisted that other associates orderd them for her. So i ordered the book. Stressing that i have had the rejected in the past. I'm looking forward to hearing from her in a week or so when the person doesn't get thier book. Tough noogies i tried.
