You can choose based on their story, their involvement in the DLC, how entertaining you find them, their boss fight etc,. You may post your reason why in the comments (Must focus on the villain itself and not based on how much you enjoyed the DLC as a whole.)
I intentionally left out the Handsome Sorcerer from "Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep" because I feel like many people will pick that because of how good the DLC is and/or because it's literally Handsome Jack as a wizard. Plus I want to make this fun and interesting.
The choices are:
-Dr. Ned - (The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned)
-General Knoxx - (The Secret Armory of General Knoxx)
-Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap - (Claptrap's New Robot Revolution)
-Captain Scarlett - (Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty)
-Piston - (Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage)
-Professor Nakayama - (Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt)
-5H4D0W-Trap - (Claptastic Voyage)
-Colonel Hector - (Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary)
-Pretty Boy - (Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot)
-Eleanor & Vincent Olmstead - (Guns, Love, and Tentacles)
-Butcher Rose - (Bounty of Blood)
I’ll just jump right into this one. A big question posed by the Jack AI in Tales is whether or not it’s actually jack, or just an artificial intelligence like the game says. I hope at this point we’ve learned not to believe it when people are presented as an artificial intelligence for like 2 and a half games because they might just actually be a siren with technological powers. And my answer to whether it’s really Jack or just an AI is: both. Let me explain.
Canonically, Jack has been killed at the end of Borderlands 2. Yes, we can argue that before the fight, he digistructed himself out of something as can be seen in the cutscene, but since New-U stations aren’t canon and therefore neither is respawning, i am definitely saying that Jack IS dead. However, as we’ve seen in the case of T.K. Baha in the BL2 Halloween DLC, the undead exist in the Borderlands universe. Therefore, Jack’s soul could very well still exist, waiting for a host. And i think that host is the AI created by Nakayama.
There is some very clear evidence pointing to the fact that the Jack in Tales is much more than an AI. Firstly, if Rhys chooses to tell Vaughn about Jack, Vaughn asks him to ask jack how many fingers he’s holding up behind his back. Jack then walks behind Vaughn and is actually able to see the correct number. If the AI was just a program, it would not be able to see anything Rhys could not see. But if Jack’s soul was bound to that AI, he could pilot it, and do things beyond the ability of a program. Another giveaway is the fact that jack can only exist in one place at a time. When he gets uploaded into Helios, he leaves Rhys’s head, and then at the end he comes back into Rhys’s head and leaves Helios. If he was a typical AI, he would just copy himself. You may say it takes longer to copy an AI, like in the case of Felicity, than to transfer it. However, i think during a playthrough where Rhys is on Jack’s side, agreeing to connect to Helios, Jack might take the time to copy himself. Also, really, how much longer does it take to digitally copy something than to digitally transfer it? Jack could only be in one place and one time, because there was only one him. And if this isn’t enough evidence, there is possibly the most obvious point: no matter how obsessed Nakayama was with Jack, he could not have known all of his private moments (wallethead), or have created an AI with Jac... keep reading on reddit ➡
He is so hot and I cannot figure out why. Is it his style or is it the way he handles himself? Does anyone else feel this way?
I'm no artist/graphic designer/3D modeler/whatever, but I made an attempt at the pickaxe using PowerPoint and threw together some high quality images that serve my purpose. I'm sad I missed the event last August :( But hey, Epic Games/Gearbox people, if you come across this and decide to put this in Fortnite for Borderlands Day or as another collaboration...
I really want to play them all, but idk if I. Have them all or if I have to hunt them down when I have enough saved
Right now you fire at it and it's just a bunch of numbers on top of each other. It's so hard to compare 2 weapons to each other right now! If they added like a screen to the side of jack that displayed your damage per second that'd be SO helpful! Especially since I play Moze and can't even see the numbers through all the explosions. What do you guys think?
I just started playing on Switch a few days ago and everybody uses Handsome Jack. Is there a reason besides his powerful ult? Are none of the other as powerful?
Long story short, I was curious how to get certain skins/heads in this game on the PS4.
For example, the one for having Borderlands game data. I assume that doesn't count the PS4's "Borderlands GOTY" edition? Do I have to play Poker Night on my PS3 and if so does that unlock it on my PS4???
Also, there's a lot of holiday skin colors that just don't seem available anymore?
If anyone can point me in a helpful direction, it'd be GREATLY appreciated.
I’m planning on getting Handsome jack collection for Switch and I’ve never touched a Borderlands game before. I try to do some research before I buy a game, nearly every review that I looked at for this game says “it’s the perfect multiplayer experience” or “Multiplayer makes this game 10 times better”, stuff like that. I dont care much for multiplayer, and I mainly plan on getting the game to play single player. But I DON’t want to get the game if it’s not FUN to play single player. The reviews make it seem it’s only truly fun with multiplayer. Would love some clarity on this...
So apparently it's come to my attention in a borderlands group that the name of the Borderlands: TPS + Borderlands 2 bundle pack was always The Handsome Collection. But me alongside 200 others say that it was called The Handsome Jack Collection.
I mean, it's the name of the main antagonist for both of those games! The Handsome collection just doesn't sound right. Even my personal friends were like "Handsome Collection??" After I told them I was going to return my copy of Borderlands 3 for the Handsome Collection.
Handsome Jack here. When I opened the Vault and destroyed the Destroyer inside -- ironic, I know! -- I had a Hyperion weapon in my hand. When I cleaned up the frontier and burned that bandit settlement of New Haven to the ground, it was a Hyperion pistol I held in my fist. And goddamned every day as I watch over this planet, as its protector, as its champion, and as its hero, it's Hyperion firearms I put my trust in. Hell, that's why I bought the goddamn company in the first place. This is Handsome Jack, and I'm signing off on Hyperion! What do you guys think? Accent too much?
So, I have a question about Jack's love life: When has he been interested in Moxxi VS Nisha? I'll start off with a timeline. In BLTPS, Jack has been dumped by Moxxi, and isnt a fan of her, as he doesnt want to ask her for help. By the end, he hates her. In BL2, Moxxi confirms this, all the while Jack and Moxxi spout insults about the other. Where I get confused is in BL3's Heist of the Handsome. (Don't worry, no spoilers) Talking to Timothy, Jack's Doppleganger who you played in BLTPS (this isn't a spoiler, he was shown in the trailer), he says that Jack had him go out on a date with Moxxi for him. In a part of the casino, there are also pictures of Moxxi hanging on the walls. This doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. By the time Handsome Jack built the casino, it was after BLTPS, he hated Moxxi, and he was dating Nisha. Why then would Jack have portraits of her in the Casino? Also, why would he send Timothy on a date with her after meeting Nisha? Is this merely an oversight by Gearbox, am I just overthinking it, or is there an explanation that I missed? Sorry about the length of the post, this just really got me curious.
Let me start this off by saying I LOVED Handsome Jack. He's an amazing, well written villain. The kind of guy you love to hate. I'd put him right up there with Dolores Umbridge.
He was a big part in making Borderlands 2 as good as it was. And then they brought him back as the Handsome Sorcerer, fun times. And then the Hammerlock DLC with the cult trying to bring him back, ok that's kinda cool.
Pre-Sequel! Showing us a lot more of what made him who he was. Really helped us understand him better, I love it! Man, this character had a great run.
Now, I haven't played Tales from the Borderlands, but apparently he's a big deal there too. Alright. Don't think that's neccessary, but alright.
Then 3 comes around. Love it. There's some off hand reminders of Jack, and that's cool. Then the first big DLC drops and he's back. And he's everywhere. Now, I love the premise, Moxxi wants to rob his space casino, one last screw you, great. But I feel like they're really milking him for all he's worth here. Like yeah, he's a great character. But you gotta know when to give him up.
I dunno, I've barely started the casino DLC, but I really think they're beating a dead horse here. What do you think?
I just lost about 4 hours after saving and quiting, then launching borderlands 2 out of epic store again and finding no progress has ben saved. It even asks me to create a new shift username, doesnt keep the resolution settings i changed, nothing!
Tried disabling cloud saves for borderlands 2, got past opening cinematic and saved and quit, exactly the same. As soon as i quot out of borderlands to main menu, go back a step and then reenter - it has no saved progress, asks me to start a new game.
Would really appreciate any suggestions, i've never come across anything like this before.
I just can't abide the controls of part 1 and the gyro makes me feel I have Parkinson's as I play handheld solely and need to swivel to get a hit. Just dont dig it at all, part 2 and pre-sequel are excellent in the controls. I can glide to target from target a lotm, ore effortlessly with the lock on. I would like that implemented for 1 if a patch ever comes.
That's my experience so far. Bioshock infinite is pimp, some have had issues with readability and yes, you're right, small text. Not a game killer as much as the tank control on bl1.
Anything honestly operating at any level above my copy on the vita would have been good enough for me. This has exceeded that, and if you're wondering if you should jump, than yes you should. I already can see myself making this my highest played game next to witcher 3 at 243 hours. Now all I need is mass effect 3 baby.
Change my mind.
Ryan Reynolds. There is no other choice to be honest.
