I've gotten a few requests for update but didn't want to post until I felt like I really had anything to say. A lot has happened in the past two weeks so I'm going to try to go over it as best I can.
My wife and I started talking again. We had a very serious conversation and I did apologize for what I did to her running shoes, and then I told her I had to speak some truth and I wanted her to promise me that she wasn't going to roll her eyes, interrupt me, scoff, or get sarcastic with me, which she did. I told her that I was not kidding about my boots, that while most of the time I caught geriatric transports, falls, and nausea, there were instances where response time was of the essence and I didn't have time to play around with my boots in the middle of the night. I told her that there have been times when my intervention has been critical in saving a life, when... keep reading on reddit ➡
Yes, I know the title is bizarre and I can't believe I'm actually writing this. My wife is a neat freak. Always has been. She throws notes on my desk out assuming they're garbage, my belongings get rearranged to the point where it takes me hours to find them, it's something I've come to accept. I'm not happy about it, but we have a pretty happy marriage on the whole.
I am a volunteer EMT, and I keep my boots unlaced up against the wall next to my clothes hamper so that I can throw them on along with my uniform if a call comes in during the middle of the night. Well, my wife has taken to tying the boot laces when she sees them untied. Not only does she tie them, but she tightens them and double knots them to the point where I need to undo the knot, open up the boots, and let a little slack out to fit my feet into them. I ignored it the first two times, but the third time she did it, I made it a point to bring up to her the next day.
I very calmly said, "Hun, I appreciate that you wa... keep reading on reddit ➡

I am an atheist who grew up as an evangelical, right wing, pastor’s kid in rural America. Son of God arguments aside, the teachings of Jesus have great value on a humanitarian level, and the notion that this f*cking sociopathic monster would dare to pose with a bible in hand in front of a church — claiming to know or understand or be associated with anything having to do with the teachings of Jesus — makes my blood boil on a level I didn’t think possible. To quote the teacher himself, “Many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”
Shame on this particular worker of lawlessness and
everyone anyone who claims to be Christian that has enabled him.
Edit: Just want to make it very clear that I am not in any way assuming all followers of Christianity support and enable Trump. These things can... keep reading on reddit ➡
I was super high just finished smoking a few joints then boom a bird crashed into my window then fell on the floor right in front of me and started flapping around on the floor so I picked it up because it was messed up and he had a broken neck and a broken wing. One second the bird was alive and looking at me and I could see the life in its eyes then its head just dropped back and he died. The life just left the birds body in an instant and it triggered so many thoughts in my brain about what happens when we die.
Whenever I’m at work and I have to wash my hands, I purposefully wet my sleeves so that they stick better to my wrists and give me a nice cooling sensation. It’s pure bliss
The Last Dance was, without a question, a biased documentary. However, lately the criticism surrounding this seems absolutely ridiculous. They told the whole story, didn't fabricate anything significant, didn't gloss over anything significant either. However, there was definitely small details that was presented in a one sided way, but nothing that changed the way we already looked at Jordan or the Bulls.
I seen people call it nothing but a propaganda tape and MJ commercial. People say MJ has "the entire plot under his full control" and "gets finals say on whats included and not" etc. People say he is trashing his former teammates while making himself look like a god. That they gloss over his negatives while not doing the same for his teammates.
Are we even watching the same documentary?
They covered Jordan being an asshole to teammates, teammates being scared of him, gambling issues, missed game winners, the turnover in '95 that cost them a series, getting game winners scored... keep reading on reddit ➡
