I think the weapon and armor progression in this game seriously hampers experimentation with your equipment.

The steep cost of fully upgrading gear and the grind it takes to find the material for upgrading disincentivizes players from trying lots of different gear and combinations of gear.

Currently, it makes more sense just to upgrade a few pieces of gear that you like or google the best gear and spend materials on that gear.

I would much rather be able to swap gear on a whim and try out something new. I think gear stats could still be changed with runes and that way there is still some need to hunt for those runes, but would take away the slog of grinding materials endlessly. There is a lot of cool looking gear in this game, I wish I could use more of it.

Protip for keeping your room less cluttered: a large hamper or trash can for garbage from packaging, shopping bags, etc.

I recently bought a book for ADHD organizational strategies and one of the tips offered for bedroom clutter was a large trash can in the bedroom for the various garbage that can accumulate in your room. It basically said that for a lot of people with ADHD, the multi-step process of getting rid of garbage in the bedroom (pick it up, go downstairs, put it in the kitchen garbage) just turns into β€œwhatever, I’ll do it later” and then clutter piles up. It suggested putting a large garbage can in the bedroom for this type of clutter.

I decided to buy a nice-looking hamper with a lid rather than a garbage can just to keep up Aestheticsℒ️ and oh my lord, I didn’t even realize how much trash I had accumulated in my room. All those paper shopping bags from a year ago that I had shoved in a corner because β€œmaybe I’ll use them again,” the plastic wrap from new textbooks, tags pulled off of new clothes and left on top of whatever surface was nearest, now all tucked away out of sight in my new hamper. My room is honestly transformed.

Of course, I now have to empty it every so often, but it’s not time-sensitive as I don’t put any organic or potentially smelly trash in it and it’s now one step to get all the trash out of my room rather than me having to do it every individual time I have trash. Highly recommend!

A quick reminder that ea chose to hamper the experience of 99.9% of the community just to punish 0.1%

League sbcs are beyond a disgrace they are the ultimate foul creation of ea’s greed to where they are sabotaging the vast vast VAST majority of players just because a beyond minute proportion of the player base chose to put hours and hours of their time and not money into building their clubs, a proportion of players who usually avoid fifa points in the first place.

It’s just unbelievable to me that this is how far they will go to push for profits, i for one who loved the concept of players from the league sbcs like many others are just baffled and disappointed by this, it’s like dealing with a termite infestation by setting the house on fire, ea please reconsider.

The situation with the servers could potentially hamper the game's longevity and Ranked Fleet Battles/Dogfights

As many people will have noticed, lately connection/latency problems within the matchs and hitreg issues have become more common than they should be. Pre 3.0 we could get into a "bad" server every now and then due to the pressence of people from several continents that are separated by thousands of kilometers/miles; yes, I'm talking about not only australian players that (unfortunately, like many times in the past ) got the short end of the stick when it comes to having good servers/infrastructure to allow the to play the games smoothly. But there were "workarounds" like trying to make the Squadleader of the party someone in between those two regions as an anchor, so the issues would be as noticeable by everybody.

In the end, I remember a solution was proposed and implemented by the devs, though I have looked through recent patch notes and haven't found anything. Still, I remember they mentioned they would try to make queues on Oceania/Asia servers to coincide with those from other regions in order to allow for less long queues for our fellow players on them. It seems to have worked but it has brought a whole lot of serious issues for those far from that region (specially EU and East NA): rubberbanding and really noticeable hitreg issues. After a few diggings (props to Namistay in this regard) we've found out that even in groups with no players from Oceania or Asia, the game seems to be placing matches in servers too far away from ANYONE in the match. The result is serious hitreg issues that, while not as serious for some players that might be "closer" to the server, they are still noticeable and overall hinder gameplay and smoothness of the match.

The best proof for everyone to consult is Namistay's DW vs part of Aces 5 with Avenger_One streams, where they found out both sides were having hitreg issues on their matches. Today they also found out , while running a program that tracks where the server the match is being run is located, that they were placed on Australia, and even Brazil, and they didn't had any team component from that region. As aditional proof, I was trying to run a training for the Imperial Navy this afternoon and we got matched against other 4 players of high level (we were 4 too, 1 East NA + 3 EUs), but in servers nowhere near from our positions. I couldn't check where we were placed during the first match, but it was basically unplayable for us. Second match, we changed host to one of us on EU and we got matched against the same

I have chocolates, coffee, snacks on the list. What else can I send him that's not too expensive. (Trying to keep it under $50.).

He loves to read but difficult to find a book that he would like and doesn't already have lol . He also has a cat. Works long hours at a desk so something super practical that helps with posture would be amazing .

Women for whom fitness is a large part of your identity: how did pregnancy impact your fitness? Did you worry it would hamper progress/ability? What changed your mind?

I’m a 34/f and have been active my whole life. I run and I lift. Being able to do these things and see measurable results is a really important facet of how I see myself and something that is really motivating. I am mildly ... mildly vain about how being in shape looks too.

But I’m married (to 32/m) and am warming up to the idea of kids. I only ever hear about how much pregnancy encumbered (if not outright ravages) one’s body. Worse, it sounds like post-partum bodies suffer from myriad of long-term changes like poor pelvic floor function and other things that would hamper high impact activities. It sounds like doctors take none of this seriously and it’s just taken as part of getting pregnant and having kids.

I really worry about having kids and just being really unhappy that I can’t physically do the things I love and that doctors will just price that into motherhood.

So, for the athletes in the group who have had kids: Were you conflicted? What changed your mind? Did you continue being active? Was it the same activities? How did/does your body fare? Did you have to do PT? Do you still feel like fitness is still a part of who you are / do you feel like you’re still you, or did you just have to give up?

Let’s assume kids are a net positive in one’s life because I know many people think kids are worth much larger sacrifices, but I am not really curious if kids are an overall boon.

Liking the game so far but NPC's are so bad they hamper the world.

For such a detailed, beautiful world the game feels like a massive step back for NPC behaviour. Maybe the worst I've encountered since Far Cry 5? I know not every game needs to have RDR2 standard of NPC's but they could've atleast made some of them fight back when I punch them, or do more things than walk down the sidewalk silently. I went to the gym area near the safe house and pushed (not punched) a random npc walking by and everyone within 2 blocks either sprinted away screaming or sat covering their heads WITH THE EXACT SAME ANIMATION LOOP.

Same thing with them sitting in traffic forever if u park your car on the street. I haven't noticed anything wrong with enemy ai yet, but it makes the world feel hollow when its just full of these braindead npc's. Doesn't seem like this issue is something CDPR cares enough about to fix if they happily released npc's in this state in the first place.

Do you get any gifts/bonuses etc. from work tied to Christmas or other holidays? What would a seasonal/gift hamper of food/drink contain in your country?

I received my yearly "Christmas Hamper" from work today (we don't get a Christmas or yearly bonus or anything, this feels more special to me than equivalent cash amount at least?). It has a lot of snacks that are fancy versions of things I might normally buy but it feels quite British? There are biscuits, peanuts, crisps (though the label says potato chips, ugh), mince pies, "Christmas pickle", in previous years I've had Christmas pudding, tomato chutney, chocolates etc.

This got me wondering what holiday traditions different countries have as far as work culture, in normal years would you have a dinner with colleagues, a party, is there any kind of seasonal bonus or gift? I remember when I was quite young going to some kind of event at my Dad's work for employee's kids where "Santa" was there.

Would it be similar options if you were to order a food gift hamper for someone online? Are there any items that would be nearly guaranteed to be included year round or in the festive season? Anything that sticks out that isn't normalish in your country?

Gift hamper delivery recommendations?

Hey folks, greetings from London. I’m looking for recommendations for gift hamper delivery. My work have sent out festive gift hampers to my team, but one of my colleagues has been based in NYC since the pandemic, and we’d really like to send her an equivalent gift hamper.

I’m looking for a mixture of fresh produce (cheese, smoked salmon etc), plus maybe some crackers, nuts, chocolate and wine - a nice selection of different things for a festive feast. If anyone’s familiar with Fortnum & Mason in London - that’s the kind of fancy/nice quality stuff I’m after.

I’ve had a google but haven’t found the exact thing I’d like - Carnegie Deli looks like good fresh stuff but not varied enough (and no booze included), Hazelton’s Gift Baskets don’t have fresh stuff and the Manhattan Fruitier seems to be out of stock of the good stuff. Basically I’m looking for this or this but delivering to Manhattan. Budget is around $200ish. Does anyone have a favourite deli that could fit the bill? Thanks!

Lpt: Use an empty laundry hamper to carry Christmas gifts

Use an empty laundry hamper to carry in Christmas gifts to your destination. They usually have hard sides and handles. It works great for being able to carry everything to the car in one trip if you are traveling, keeps anything from getting smashed, makes it easy to carry everything inside, and then you can put the gifts you have received in the hamper so nothing gets lost in the Christmas chaos.
