[Neubeck] Embiid on the LeBron flagrant: "You look at it, that's a very dangerous play, and I guarantee if it was me I would have probably been ejected from the game."
*** [EDIT] *** Looks like Nikita made a thread as a result of this one's popularity, and is saying it's not netcode, it's the servers and the hardware/networking there, global networking, bandwidth issues that causes etc etc, and that putting pressure on them to fix it won't work. sigh...if he fails to realize it's still his responsibility...
This game is one of the worst examples of desync and bad netcode in modern gaming.
This will never change until we put more pressure on BSG and stop giving them excuses, like hackers. Yes, there are hackers. Yes, the BattlEye they've implemented is clearly the cheapest version they could get as hackers are still around but nowhere near as bad as before.
But it's the servers right now, this wipe, that are completely unacceptable.
We're a month or however long it has been now in to this wipe, and based on previous experience (even though we lack the ability to track numbers), a large chunk of players will have already dropped off from playing. They come back for the wipe, they've not played in months due to boredom or frustration, they're hoping things have changed and...nope. Then leave after circa 2 or 3 weeks due to frustrations, almost always around bullshit fights where they die when they feel they shouldn't have done.
Yes, ammo and armour factor in, there's no denying that. Ammo is everything.
But holding an angle, especially as a solo player, and then seeing someone appear at a corner for a shave of a second before you die, IS UNACCEPTABLE NETCODE BULLSHIT.
CS servers tick at what? 128? Anyone in that game holding a corner should win that fight, if they're even vaguely skilled, because the servers are fast enough to transmit to damn near real time.
In EFT? You saw that guy for a shave of a second on your screen. On HIS/HER screen, you were on it for a second or more, and that's the difference between winning and losing.
How many clips from streamers have you seen where they walk past a doorway, and a guy is stood there not moving with their gun pointing at the doorway and don't even react or fire back as the streamer strafes across the door and unloads in to them? Nobody just STANDS there and allows themselves to die.
You were stood there not even moving for the streamer, yet the guy who died? He saw you zip across the screen and he died, has his arms in the air crying speed hacker, hacker, this game is bulllshit etc etc. Streamers on stream dying to someone leaning out behind a pilla

So we had a post on here today where a woman was ghosted after her first date, and a number of people were trotting out the advice that a woman should wait to have sex if she's wanting something more serious. A couple commenters even implied that he ghosted her because she had sex on the first date.
But here's the thing (or things) - if someone is lying about wanting an LTR or simply telling you what you want to hear, waiting to have sex won't change the outcome.
If someone ghosts after sex, that's who they are, it's not about what you've done. Someone who is serious about an LTR and thinks they might want it with you won't hold it against you that you and they both had sex on a first date.
And anyone who does think they might want an LTR but holds it against you because you both had sex on a first date, isn't someone you should want a relationship with - they are a hypocritical, likely sexist, putz.
So when I hear advice, usually to women, that if they are serious they should wait x-number of dates or days or weeks or months, what I hear is, "This guy you are pursuing would drop you like a hot rock if he gets to have sex with you, so you'd better string him along until you draw out his better nature."
Let me ask you, do you want to be with that guy, who would dump you if you had sex with him before the supposed "I'm a good, worthy woman" time period has passed?
If you do have sex with a guy who's into you, and actually wants to try a relationship with you, it won't matter when you have sex - you can wait a reasonable amount of time until you feel comfortable, or you can jump in the sack on the first date. It isn't the sex and when it happens that determines if a relationship will develop, it's the person you are having it with.
If you are the kind of person who will feel even worse if you're ghosted after sex on the first date as opposed to the third, don't have sex on the first date. But that's the only reason to not do it, if you otherwise want to. The future of your relationship shouldn't, and doesn't, hang on that.
Edit: If you read this and think I am advocating for first date sex, please reread it.
Magic cards were not handmade, they were mass manufactured by machines in large quanities, and machines can always be reverse engineered.
If such fakes are out there, they would almost certainly be slowly dripped into the market to avoid easily being found out/jailed and to not crash prices, while the forgerers simultaneously flood the market with obvious fakes to make people feel more secure about buying the few cards that do pass the light and dot tests.
At the end of the day, its just ink printed on paper. The reserve list cards were printed when magic was a small hobby. With how valuable reserve list cards are, it would be worth it for forgerers to obtain or reverse engineer the exact same types of paper and printers used to print the first magic cards. How could it be impossible to reverse engineer printing techniques from the 90s?
They would only need to get their hands on a single printer from back then, or even just the blueprints for that printer, in order to be able to easily reverse engineer it. But even barring that, machine learning would let them create a printer that prints in the same manner. Manufacturing the same type of paper would be even easier.
The methods/tests to detect fakes are common knowledge which means that forgerers know what they need to modify in ordet to pass those tests.
Itβs inevitable that with machine learning and other advanced techniques, counterfits that are indistinguishable from genuine cards will arise. They are probably technically feasible even now.
With singles of power 9 going for tens of thousands of dollars, it is absolutely worth the time and effort it would take for counterfeiters to perfect the process and make counterfeits that pass all the common tests.
Imo, there is a very high chance that such forgeries already exist, and we have no way to know if they are very slowly dripped into the market to avoid being caught/jailed and to not plummet card prices, while forgerers also flood the market with obvious fakes to make people feel more secure in the cards that pass all the tests.
Edit: celtics_till_i_last_ below made an excellent post below explaining the process
βYou could buy a cheap beat up single color 9810 or 360. Itβs just finding ink and stock. There isnβt much of a plate issue anymore with the advancement of paper plates. Metal plates are dead, and so are dark rooms. You could 100000% create identical alphas as long as the ink and paper are correct, down to the pica and point(old school
... keep reading on reddit β‘I am a total noob, this is my first shares ever and tbh I was scared of missing the squeeze. So I looked through WSB, everyone is saying 1k now. I don't want to set my limit order way too high and miss it just in case so I found this video that says $300 is reasonable.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUUudgwkuhM&t=307s
I installed RH and got $999 of shares at 41.50, and now I have a limit sell of 4 shares at $300. That earns me +201 dollars from my initial investment and as for the other 20 shares- I'm gonna fucking let those ride to 1k. πππ
(Or whatever the peak ends up being)
What's everyone else doing? Do you think 1k is attainable given the maths I am too dumb to understand? I am very happy to know that I will not be losing money off of my first shares but I wonder, just how much could I actually gain on the remaining 20?
Edit: Thanks for the award! Since there are people reading I think it is important for me to say- DO NOT EXPECT A $1000 SHARE PRICE JUST BECAUSE VW ACHIEVED THAT. Remember that VW sat at triple digits before the squeeze and GME is still in double. However, someone pointed out that there are far more shorts on GME than were on VW. So nobody can know either way.
TL;DR Please make sure you cover your initial costs with responsible sells!
.
.
Edit: Since it can randomly go as high as $130 pre-market, imma go ahead and revise my sell limit to 1 million dollars.

Title. Its ridiculous that these bosses cost 40 resin and don't even guarantee a 5* artifact when the domains do and cost half as much. You could argue that they should drop 2 since it costs twice as much resin.

Iβve been playing Legends of Runeterra for a bit, and itβs been a blast! However Iβve noticed that Grand Plaza decks always have their namesake card on turn three. Whereβs the button in the settings to make sure I can draw my Dravin or my They Who Endure or my Miss Fortune exactly on curve every game? Does it have something to do with prismatics? Is it in the settings? My player profile? Any help locating this option would be greatly appreciated!
Iβm 6 months from graduating & I have some wisdom to share. Iβll break it up & start with the advice & then hit u with the story
Iβm average iq (22act) if I can do it you can too. I was always a bad student. High school I got bad grades & LITERALLY taught myself algebra to take the placement test. After like 70 hours of practice I made the minimum score to get into calc 1. I really doubted myself & got embarrassed telling people my major because everyone doubted me.
I failed a class my sophomore year and had to take a few rounds of summer school schedules to get back on track. The class i failed was a pre req for all my classes. I was devastated. Low key it worked out so well. Because I had to take light semesters. The 5 year schedule was like they took their foot off my throat. It was a pace I could handle more easily. If you can afford to, take 5 years. Or do 4 with a fatass summer session like me.
EVERYONEβS parents will pressure them a bit to get an engineering degree. Its just how it is. But your future is your choice. Freshman & half of sophomore year I would blame my parents for pushing me hard to be in Engineering. While technically true I ALONE am responsible for my degree. Blaming any circumstance for you being in this painful major will just make it impossibly hard to focus, study and work. You will not function at the level that is required. Bare your cross.
I saw a marine say that on YouTube while i was contemplating dropping out. Running hills sucks almost as bad as sophomore semester 2. If you decide to make the decision to stop when its getting hard youβll NEVER accomplish ANYTHING. Engineering is a mountain & the only way to successfully climb it is if at one point (hopefully early) You make the irreversible decision to do so. If you arenβt willing to promise yourself youβll finish, switch now. Make that decision ONCE and while youβre done with classes (like Christmas break lol).
Everything has itβs pros & cons. Engineering has soooooo many massive pros way beyond just getting a job. IMO getting a job is just the cherry on top. Iβm unrecognizable now after 3 1/2 years of engineering. Iβm much smarter. All my friends from high school t
