My father was an alcoholic who never allowed me near his shitty charcoal grill and would only make brick-ass black hockey puck burgers.
I'm 40 with a family with no grilling experience beyond a tree branch through a hot dog, and would like to make neighbors envious of the BBQ smells over summer. We just got our first propane grill and ready to fire it up.
What are some tips for someone like me?
Edit - Just wanted to say thanks for all of the amazing tips out there. We're going to give it a first attempt this weekend with some hotdogs and homemade chili. :)
