This post will cover all the Indian literature composed during 800 BC - 800 AD.

Puranas

The 18 major Puranas are divided into 3 sections

  1. Rajasa (Brahma)
  2. Sattvika (Vishnu)
  3. Tamasa (Siva)

The Rajasa Puranas are

  1. Brahma

  3. Brahma Vaivarta
  4. Markandeva
  5. Bhavisya
  6. Vamana

The Sattvika Puranas are

  1. Visnu
  2. Bhagvata

The Tamasa Puranas are

  3. Skanda
