He's just so natural. He's effortlessly funny while being wildly charming and serious. I've been a fan of Gosling for his roles in Drive and Crazy Stupid Love, but this just seems like an even looser side to him. I'm not saying he had some ground breaking, Oscar worthy performance, but it's just one of my favorites. Shane Black always kills it, but I think this tandem may be my favorite.
Man I guess after the success of the Martian they are moving forward with the movie right away.
I know this doesn’t 100% mean it will be made.
I could see Artemis getting made into a movie or TV show as well.
I'm trying to help these geese and goslings that are trapped in the courtyard of Lincoln Hall. I contacted facilities management who is now refusing to do anything about it. They've said they cannot do anything except let them die because the geese are a protected species (makes sense!). I talked to someone in pest control (matthew dalton) who also said he wouldn't touch them and they'd have to figure out how to get out on their own.
Honestly, don't know what to do, but I'd rather not see these things die even though I'm not overly found of geese. Apparently this is a thing that happens and normal humans try to help (https://www.torontowildlifecentre.com/wildlife-emergency-rescue-hotline/conflicts-with-wildlife/common-canada-goose-problems/geese-nesting-in-a-courtyard/):
>Sometimes geese don’t think ahead
>Sometimes geese don’t think ahead, and nest in places that their babies won’t be able to fly out or off of. If the nest is in a completely enclosed courtyard, OR more than 2 storeys above ground, OR has a barrier around it more than a foot high, please contact a wildlife rehabilitator for advice. If the goslings have already hatched, provide them with a shallow pan of water and consider this an emergency.
Facilities management and pest control have refused to help and said it's not their problem.
Anyway, I'm just visiting campus and don't really know how to do something about this or who to contact, but hopefully some UIUC redditors do?
