I read a collection of stories years ago that had these different stories in it. Can’t remember if it was from the UK or US.

One was about a girl who goes on vacation and this dog really takes to her. She goes home and the dog goes cross country to find her. Eventually the man the dog lives with let’s the dog go live with her. Then they are both killed when a van crashes into a post office (I think)

Another one was about a boy who is neglected by his family, he builds a horse out of snow that has lots of legs, then he flies away on the snow horse but it is actually revealed he froze to death outside

Another story was about a man who built wood carvings but they weren’t selling well as they weren’t very good. He somehow manages to turn anything he touches into wood and so sells these really amazing carvings. He has a beautiful daughter who falls in love with a bear (?) and when she goes to tell her father she touches him and so she turns to wood. The man is then in mourning.

I'm an amateur film lover, as I'm sure many of the folks in /r/movies are. I will be the first to also admit that I was also one of the lucky ones last year to have 'boredom' as one of my biggest problems, and so to everyone reading this I hope you have a far better 2021.

Watching lots of movies isn't necessarily something new to me, especially in such a vast quantity, I watched a lot in 2019 as well and it's something that works for me. I know some people say they don't like watching so many in quick succession for various reasons, and that's cool, just know that this works for me and I like to think I have a fairly good memory of almost everything I've watched (certainly all of the ones that I've enjoyed). And I can safely say I don't feel burnout coming on either...at least not yet, fingers crossed.

I also feel we're incredibly lucky to live in the era that we live in, watching films has never been easier than it has now, there's so many ways, both legal and illegal. Just this yea

Welcome to the second-to-last TWAB of Season of the Hunt. Many of you have been navigating the secrets of the Harbinger mission, uncovering randomly rolled Hawkmoons and earning the Radiant Accipiter Exotic ship. Content-wise, we’re coming to a close for the Season, and we’re incredibly excited for what’s to come in just a few short weeks. We’ve been covering some upcoming quality of life changes to Destiny 2, like the return of Umbral Engrams, but it’s almost time to take a peek at fresh content.

I just finished rewatching 2045. This time I watched the whole of SAC, films included, in order, so the previous seasons were still fresh in my mind. Here we go (plenty of spoilers ahead):

I think 2045 starts under a very negative light, and that first impression might have turned a lot of fans off. The opening song is not very good or fitting in my opinion, especially when compared with the great intro themes that came before. Then in the very first scene we have a very, veeery intrusive product placement, followed by the Major littering the road. A deserted road in a wasteland, but still feels bad. So in a short timespan we are hit by a lot of bad things. All this surely brought me down. The first four episodes are cool but are missing the social commentary and the heavy politics. What makes SAC so incredible in my eyes is the scifi take on society and how people would collectively behave in this high tech future. Hell, the series has a ficcional social theory for its name. This week at Bungie, we’re back in action.

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Since the last TWAB, you’ve gotten your hands on Hawkmoon. The Dawning has come and gone. Next-generation consoles received some wonderful enhancements. You’ve released a crow from their cage, and Lord Saladin watched as you decimated your foes with Stasis in the Iron Banner.

On the Bungie side of things, we took a breather. This last year has been full of challenges that none of us expected. Even through everything 2020 had in store, we were able to get Beyond Light and Season of the Hunt in your hands. This did come at a bit of a cost, though, and we needed some time to recharge our batteries for a new year. We have no doubt that 2021 will have mountains to climb and unexpected surprises, but we’re all excited to get back into the groove for a new year of Destiny development.

To elaborate, I guess this could have been a show that I individually rented as a kid but I’m almost positive it came on before the main show seeing as I don’t remember the title. Here are the things I am at least 85% sure of: one episode had a barbershop where a lady with a crows nest of hair came in. They ‘fixed’ her hair and she was sad but ended up being happy again with crazy hair by the end, the moral seemingly being just because you think a person is weird or unhappy the way they live doesn’t mean they are, and the other one was either a camping or Halloween episode where a ghost girl has a crush on a human boy friend and when she’s sleeping he gives her a piggy back ride home and she’s like half awake and she blushes. HERE are the things I’m less than 50% sure about: may have been before the main show or movie, maybe Sailor Moon. May have accompanied Poochy(Poochie?) shows, I watched them a lot as a kid
