I am certain there are no Taoists schools in this country. What are my options of being able to join a school to gain some guidance on my journey?
Thank you all for your recommendations.
I had a feeling that it was good enough to first familiarise myself with the original texts and then trust my intuition to guide me.
But my intuition isn’t always right. But I guess that’s communities like these are for - and communities and resources like the ones you have all suggested.
I also hope along the way, as I become more in line with the Dao, my intuition is strengthened and further purified
I was hoping someone could write out how I can pronounce the name of someone from Ghana. The name is Okyere Boakey. Any help would appreciated.
My dad thinks he has malaria; he just got back from Ghana. He doesn’t want to go to the hospital because “they’ll quarantine me” Now he’s doing home remedies with sugar cane, ginger, lemon, and ACV. Also he’s taking Alieve. Isn’t malaria a viral infection? He said he’s had it so many times before but idk now I want him to get tested for COVID just in case as well. He hates the doctors but I just want him to be safe. “I’ll go to the hospital if it gets bad.” He’s been through a lot but with everything going on, him making this not a big deal is concerning. I’m all for alternative remedies but not sure bout this situation

#Ghana calls for complete global nuclear disarmament
The world has gone completely crazy. In the Americas, both the West Coast and Salt Lake have ordered nuclear strikes against people who they claimed were there fellow countrymen only 3 years ago. In Asia, over a million Chinese have been the casualties of a nuclear first strike. Any semblance of restraint regarding nuclear strikes appear to have gone out the window. Ghana calls upon all nuclear power to embark on complete nuclear disarmament. Continuing this path will see many more innocent lives lost, and nations across the world develop their own nukes, in a desperate attempt to protect themselves.
In Taiwan, China taught the world two things. First, a promise of "no-first-strike" is worth less than the paper it was written on, as Beijing showed little restraint in bombing even their own people. Second, a conventional second strike capability is worthless in ensuring MAD, as the Tien Chi SRBM strike appear to have not hindered anyone.
In America, the Americans taught the world one thing: It doesn't matter if you were countrymen cheering the same flag just three years ago, nuclear pain will rain down upon you anyway.
How can a nation such as South Korea, who's defense against their nuclear northern neighbor is conventional, continue to justify their non-nuclear stance? Why shouldn't Germany nuclearize, as its alliances and nuclear umbrella are all weakening? Why shouldn't any non-nuclear nation be quaking in their seats with fear, hoping that the prospect of Mutually Assured Destruction will keep them just a little bit more safe?
The Nuclear Haves have always assured the Have-nots that they will use their nuclear weapons reasonably. But this assurance has now been proven false. This leaves two options:
the Nuclear Haves continue their hypocritical stance, and force the hands of many nations to proliferate, or
the Nuclear Haves become Have-nots, and we can put the proven evil of nuclear weapons behind us.
We urge the nuclear nations of the world to chose the second option.
