Hi guys, do i have to pay extra TAX/ duty fee if I buy from Frangrancenet or fragranceX? How much is usually charged?
(The website already does charge one for International shipping + Tax, so will i be charged any more for Customs here in Canada?)
Where should I get good perfumes from where i dont have to pay duty fee? I live in Ontario!
I recently ordered Diesel only the brave, 1.7 oz. I’ve spent over $1k with FragranceX, so I’m no stranger to the grey market of fragrances.
I opened my Diesel fragrance and sprayed it on a piece of paper first. It smelt like alcohol and that’s about it. I thought that was odd, and it reminded me of a similar experience with CH 212 VIP, also from FragranceX. I know what Only the brave smells like, and this wasn’t it. I then sprayed my wrist, and spent the new few minutes waiting for it to dry down on my skin, but no change in smell. I then went back to the piece of paper and the scent is completely gone. I’ve sprayed it on more paper and a piece of cardboard and it still smelt like alcohol and that’s about it.
I also noticed that the box looked like it was tampered with, but the atomizer did need to be primed before it would discharge the scent. Do I maybe need to let it macerate or sit in a cool place or something?
EDIT: I opened my polo red intense, which I ordered along with the diesel and same thing! Just alcohol! I sprayed it maybe 10 times to clear out the atomizer, but still alcohol with an extremely faint smell of polo red intense.
As the title said, is there any way we can track the price history on discount dealer? I kinda want to know the lowest price they offered for the selected fragrance (For science purpose, ofc :))
Thanks in advance!
If you guys know of any other good and legit sites to buy please tell me, I only know: FragranceNet, FragranceX, Perfumecom and Lucky Scent that are trust worthy.
I’ve been trying to get promo codes for Lucky Scent all day long but they all say is invalid, do you guys know of something that will work? btw I’m buying Tom Ford fragrances since I’ve seen some Montale codes but that won’t work obviously.
I recently bought a Versace Bright Crystal Absolu from FragranceX. I checked the batch code and noticed that it was 9 years old (it was made in 2012).
I don't mind owning old perfumes if there's no difference in scent and quality compared to the new ones. Also shipping it back will be a pain in the ass. But is it normal to receive a 9 year old perfume from that site? The most I've heard are 5-6 years but I think 9 years is a bit crazy.
Anyone else experience this?
They missed something from my order completely and after a long time on hold to them with no answer and numerous emails over the last 10 days I have still received no communication from them.
I understand that in the past 2 months many people have had the same issues, does anybody have any advice on how to escalate this? Perhaps as a group for maximum impact.
I have thought about individually emailing customer service reps through Linkedin.
I understand things can take longer at the moment but to ignore customers entirely is out of order..
(UPDATE: I checked this morning and it has skipped all the other tracking steps and now says Out For Delivery lol)
Hello everyone, my apologies in advance if this comes off super ranty.
So, I ordered from FraganceX on November 13th and on the 16th I received an update saying it had cleared customs and was on the way to the sorting facility. As of today I still haven't received a tracking update. I reached out to the Canadian shipping partner and they said they had no information for me because they still hadn't received the order. Then, I reached out to FragranceX and they said to be patient and that my order would arrive soon. Another week passed since those emails and still no changes in my order status. I don't see how it could take 3 weeks for a package to go from customs to the delivery facility unless my order is just lost entirely...
Are any of my fellow Canadians are having issues with this company or if it's just a one off? Any advice or input would be appreciated!
Can anyone explain how these two sites work? Like why are the perfumes cheaper and has does anyone have experience receiving fakes from these sites? I’m genuinely curious how they receive inventory and why they’re being discounted, and I’m quite skeptical of ordering.
In the past, I’ve almost always bought retail. Now I’m planning to shop at sites like FragranceX for the lower prices. Gotta be smarter with my money now; times are hard. Were your orders in good quality? Any stale perfumes? How fast was the shipping? Would you recommend FragranceX to people?
I just received a bottle of Delina from FragranceX and was wondering if anyone could tell me whether it's authentic. I reached out to PdM directly but they were unfortunately unable to help. I have included a link to pics of the packaging. The batch code does not come up when I search for it but I was told that the 7 digit batch codes are new, and not an accurate indicator of whether a bottle is real or not. Thanks very much! https://imgur.com/a/WiOhANm
I ordered two items about a week ago and haven’t gotten an order confirmation email or a shipping update. Only thing I got was charged for the order.

God bless you all and have happy holidays If you have any questions just lmk!!
I tried to order a couple things from Fragrance x earlier this week and when checking out via Apple Pay and it kept declining, and being the impatient person I am I kept trying. Well long story short my card got shut down- like not just locked but shut down I have to order a new card. Before I blame fragrance x I will say my banks customer service totally sucked- however when I got down to the root of the problem with my bank I figured out it was because the CVV was wrong. I checked on the website and read some really odd reviews saying they don’t ever ask for CVV. My question is, has anyone else had an issue with “incorrect CVV” on Fragrance X despite never being asked to enter one? Their customer service was totally unhelpful so I’d just like to know if this is normal. Have you ordered from Fragrance X? How is it? And if you use a better discounted fragrance site which one do you use?
Until December 25th, Rakuten (if you guys don’t already use it) is doing an offer where if you make an account using a referral link, you get $40 cashback if you spend $40 within 90 days of making an account.
Basically, you get $40 worth of items for free. Their cashback schedule says you’ll get it back (via paypal or check in the mail) on February 15, because they do it every 3 months.
I went on fragrancex and bought a $40 fragrance, got $40.80 cashback, and I’m ready and waiting for it to go back to my paypal! Woo-hoo, free fragrance!
If you guys have a friend or something who uses rakuten I highly recommend you get referred! If not, here’s my link:
Happy thanksgiving holiday!
I was completely skeptical on the whole idea about buying stuff cheaper on websites. I was 99% sure that they would sell fakes. But i just received my Prada Luna Rossa “Sport” and it shipped in less than a week! It came in still wrapped in the plastic that it came from a retailer. And it is 100% authentic!!! FragranceX probably just changed the whole of the fragrance game for me. 100% would recommend!
Basically the title, I ordered on January 3rd and tracking hasn't updated at all since then. I've tried to reach their customer service by phone and email and nothing either.
Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this? I'm getting antsy because I've lost my money recently to a company that didn't deliver the package at all.
Edit (Got my package but the tracking package page never updated. Nonetheless probably won’t order from them again till peak season is done)
I was looking for Azzaro WBN 50ml and no where to be found, now I’m looking for Jean Paul Gaultier frags and they are all out of stock. How long does it usually take until they are in stock again?
I only ordered from Fragrancex once before in Jan this year. I'm from South East Asia and it was alright.
Just recently ordered again but got another email back saying that they just received my return for that order of mine. And saying there will be another email detailing the refund.
I didn't understand. What return?? I did not return anything. I did email them asking for clarification and currently still waiting for a response. I hope this is a legit error or something and not a scam.
Has anyone in Canada returned their purchase from FragranceX before? I feel quite dumb after this incident but I went to the post office today and was in the process of paying when the guy asked me what was in the box. I stupidly answered honestly and he cancelled the transaction because apparently they won't ship perfume due the alcohol content making it flammable... Obviously I should have checked the regulations beforehand :/ just wondering if any of you have made returns do you just lie and say it's something else?
I recently found that FragranceX is hiring a CSR after looking for a remote job that connects to my new hobby. I applied last night and the first email I got this morning was a rejection email. I would like some tips as to how to dip my toes in working for the fragrance industry or some insights from those who work there or other similar e-commerce sites.
Thank you so much.
P.S - Here's the link if anyone else is interested: FragranceX Indeed Post
Is anyone else that is subscribed to fragrancex annoyed with their marketing? They have a permanent 15% coupon and they always send different emails about a "special" deal or even the one i got today about a black friday preview and....15%
Hey all, I just got into collecting fragrances, and have quickly discovered this can be quite an expensive hobby. From what I've found, FragranceX and FragranceNet seem to have the cheapest prices online. I'm sure many of you have had experience with these, and just want to make sure they sell 100% authentic fragrances. I assume it's safe to buy from these 2 sites? Do you prefer one over the other? I don't fully trust Amazon or eBay. Any other advice on making buying fragrances a little more affordable is appreciated. Thanks!
If you have coupons for fragrancex please post them! I have some for fragrancenet but they are out of stock in the item that I want.
This may be really stupid but how to use FragranceX loyalty points as the discount from loyalty tier max out at 10% but FragranceX FX15 coupon provides 15% discount.
And how long does shipping take for Singapore buyers?
how much time it takes to get delivered, any custom duty which is supposed to be paid, please share your experiences
Hey guys. I have been seeing a lot of ads lately for online fragrance retailers that offer name brand perfumes for a fraction of what you would pay at regular retail price. Have any of you ever ordered from websites like FragranceX, perfume.com, REBLscents, etc? If so, which site(s) did you order from exactly and how was your experience as far as shipping, packaging, authenticity, etc? I know I can just google it but sometimes it’s nice to get some opinions in real time, from “real people” haha
As soon as I pressed the "Place order" bottom they charged my card, minutes later I received an email from them stating that my order is currently on "hold for card security" and I have to send them a temporary code the bank is supposed to be able to give me.
This is weird... They don't need any security to charge my card right away without even having shipped the product, but somehow there's a problem with shipping it?? First time I've had this issue buying online!
Anyone else have issues with shipping updates and customer service with FragranceX?
Ordered 4 days ago and they still haven't updated anything and haven't responded to my emails.
Just curious the general consensus with everyones experience with ordering from there.
I am planning on having perfumes shipped over from US to the Philippines where it is usually hot and humid. Could temperature fluctuations along the way ruin the scent? What was your experiences with long-distance shipping of fragrances?
How soon can I expect to hear back from the FragranceX support email account? I tried calling the two phone numbers in the confirmation email but both gave me automatic messages saying that phone service was unavailable right now.
For context, I ordered 50mL of Prada L'homme and they delivered 90mL of YSL Opium, even though the label inside the box had the correct product info on it.
I want to buy a perfume from fragranceX as a gift but I’m worried the packaging will be messed up. Do you guys have any experience with them and with whether the perfumes are well packaged and in good shape to be given as a gift. Thanks in advance!
I purchased a bottle of Burberry The Beat from fragranceX. I know at one point this perfume was discontinued but they are still selling it on the Burberry site so I assumed it was still being manufactured, but the batch code from the bottle I purchased shows up as being manufactured in 2015 on checkfragrance.net. It seems to smell fine, but I don’t have anything to compare it to since I don’t have a fresh bottle. The batch code is AE6EB5TC. Should I keep this even though it’s possibly a 5 year old bottle? I’m not sure if they even make newer ones...
So not sure if its a mistake or not but just got 100 ml of the one intense tester for like 40 bucks with tax at fragrancex.com, I haven't been able to find it for less than 70
I've been wanting to buy some fragrances from fragrancex but I'm skeptical if they're delivering right now, especially internationally. They haven't been responding to calls or tweets etc and I'd rather not spend a lot of money and wait a bit if the delivery will get stuck somewhere and be an issue. Has anyone ordered anything from them recently (internationally)? I'm from india btw
I really want to buy Invictus aqua for this summer, but since I cannot go to my Dillards because I’m in Quarantine, I have been looking online. I saw that fragranceX has a good price, I just wonder if it’s legit. Any help is appreciated.
I've been on a long crusade to minimize junk mail and spam. That include screening vendors carefully to ensure they won't start sending catalogues or selling your contact info to mailing lists. Paying cash in person helps. It's exhausting!
Now that we got this here Coronavirus, I'm thinking of using Fragrance[Net/X] to re-up the supply.
So. . . do you know if they keep your info to themselves? Or are you going to be on the junk mail lists?
Sorry for the odd question: hope the answers help someone else too!
