Dictionary definition of a word in a story/foreword?

Would be a good idea to have dictionary definition of a word as part of the introduction of the story? It's not precisely part of the story (as I am writing this online, the format is different from a published book), but instead a foreword.

I've seen some people use it, but is it usually considered an act of laziness or lack of creativity?

Best copy of the trilogy that continues the page numbers through the books?

What I mean is that FR would end on page 600 or so, and then TT would start on page 601ish, and then the appendices would cite the page numbers throughout the whole series. I also want 3 books, not one large tome. Footnotes, introduction, and foreword definitely preferred. Any suggestions?

(Also would like a copy of the Silm and Hobbit to match it, but that's not as important to me)

Passed - 2/11/19 - First Attempt!

Hi All

As I’ve been following this thread closely for tips and tricks, I also want to contribute back to help out whoever else I can :)

This morning I passed the CCSP on my first attempt. The resources I used: Sybex official study guide Official CCSP CBK CCSP AIO Official practice tests Daniel carters CCSP practice exams CSA v4

I was worried I would find the exam difficult due to wording or due to so many technical details regarding APIs where others have stated you need to be a developer to pass the exam - this was NOT the case.

I found the exam extremely fair, and all of the material was from the study guides. I WILL say this exam was not a simple straight foreword definition based exam. It DID require thinking, and did link multiple concepts together in a question. If you think you can memorize the definition of RTO and be able to answer any question about it then you are likely setting yourself up for failure. You should be able to understand what RTO is, why it’s important, what the consequence is if it’s exceeded, what role it plays in BCD/DR, etc.

The exam was tricky in its wording. One slight word can make a difference. Study guides are also on point of selecting BEST answers. You may be presented with 4 right answers, but which approach is the best. Be familiar with each domain. The study guide from Ben Maslow was stated perfectly - the questions were made to get you to pay attention to the different aspects of the question.

Study wise I started with CBK which seemed like quite some information to read through and layout overlapped quite a bit between domains. Then used the sybex official study guide to fill in gaps. Then used the AIO to fill in even more gaps but moreso to “test” my knowledge. Did all the questions in all the books after I read everything. Once I finished all the questions, I made sure to review all the wrong answers and UNDERSTAND why it was wrong and why the right answer was right - more often than not it wasn’t because I didn’t know the answer but because I didn’t read the question properly.

I went back and read the CBK (all pages) again the night before the exam. READ THE GLOSSARY! It’s a great way to review the concepts. As others have cautioned - be sure to know your APIs! Know characteristics of REST vs SOAP - CBK has a great table that outlines this.

Anyhow pizza has been delivered, so I will cut off my review here. Let me know of any questions :) would like to address whatever questions I can to help anyone I ca

A Case for Mariner and Boimler

Jolan Tru, /r/LowerDecks! What I have for you today is a three-thousand-word essay on Kirk and Spock, shipping and fandom, and the relationships between Star Trek: Lower Decks characters. Strap in, and without further ado, let's go down the rabbit hole that is Star Trek shipping.

It is not well known that fan fiction in its modern form originated with Star Trek; the first-ever modern "fanfics" were stories that reinterpreted—or interpreted—the relationship between Kirk and Spock as romantic. Thus, shipping was born; Wikipedia defines "shipping" as a "desire by followers of a fandom for two or more people, either real-life people or fictional characters (in film, literature, television series, etc.) to be in a romantic and/or sexual relationship."

It should be stressed that these stories were nothing short of groundbreaking; they were self-published LGBTQ+ fiction that existed in a time period that did not take kindly to non-heteronormativity. Fan fiction, and slash fiction, also helped define the modern idea of what fandom is; from Kirk and Spock, through Garak and Bashir, to Janeway and Chakotay, shipping was always an integral part of Star Trek fan culture.

The Queer Legacy of Kirk and Spock

By “this simple feeling,” do you mean love?

I'm sure some of you will say that K/S exists solely in the domain of fan fiction, and in the heads of shippers, but the reality is a bit more complicated than that. When asked about Kirk and Spock's relationship, and how theirs could be compared to Alexander and Hephaistion's—which was theorized by historians to be romantic—Gene Roddenberry remarked that there certainly were “love overtones,” and that he could see a romance between Kirk and Spock happening, and that the writers always felt that their affection was sufficient enough for physical love^(1). In a different interview, Roddenberry noted that Kirk and Spock are two parts of the same whole, two people who complete one another. In the article "Star Trek: Spock, Kirk and Slash Fiction," Newsweek wrote, "it's the perfect recipe for a great love story. You have two radically different people from millions of miles apart whose lives fit together perfectly".

In the novelization of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Gene Roddenberry created a new Vulcan word to describe Kirk and Spock's relationship—t'hy'la (

Clashtonian Physics: the previously unwritten rules of Clash Royale

Before I begin, this is a follow-up to my previous post, where I prove that physics in the Clashiverse (from hereon referred to as "CV") are different from that in our universe, and why this is is proof that the CV isn't our universe.

The post can be found here. I recommend reading it before reading this post, although it is not required.

Also, the previous version was too long and complicated so I shortened it and made it simpler. And be warned, a lot of it is still complicated and gibberish.

And by all means, if I am wrong on aspects, please do correct me :). Helps me learn too.

Some clarification;

Why am I doing this?

I am bored and have too much time. And I am probably autistic if I had to guess.

Why post this here and not in r/ClashRoyale?

Because I do not think this would gain any traction in the main sub, and it is likely the people on this sub are more mature and maybe would actually read this, probably not though.

How can you be sure of everything?

I can't. Everything and I mean everything, is presumptuous and theoretical and I draw conclusions based on the majority of the evidence, so yeah technically the name should be Theoretical Clashtonian Physics, as that is exactly what it is; theoretical, and could definitely be wrong. It is simply the most likely conclusion I stumbled upon.

Doesn't the recoil of the firecracker prove the third law of motion?

Well, recoil is nowadays commonly considered to be due to the law of conservation of momentum within a closed system, which means the momentum in a system has to stay equal the entire time and it never leaves, causing the firecracker to go backward. It can be the third law of motion, but why it probably is not something I actually want to explain right now because I am lazy.

In my last post, I toyed around a bit with the idea of Clashtonian physics. The last post wasn't really meant to be serious, and more of direct proof of us either being in the CV or not being in it. I of course didn't expect any laws to be proven in the CV, but neither did I expect any of them to be disproven.

Most of the stuff I come up with is probably wrong. Well, it might not be, I could be fully correct, but considering the limited information, many of the new laws of physics specifically forged for the CV may very well be slightly or comple

Smart contracts 12 use cases for business and beyond (Chamber of Digital Commerce, forword by Nick Szabo): a summary

This article had to be read for lecture 6 "Smart Contracts and DApps" of the 2018 MIT lecture on blockchain. The article is written by the Chamber of Digital Commerce, an organization with the aim of promoting the acceptance and use of digital assets and blockchain-based technologies.

Nick Szabo’s foreword:

A smart contract in its purest form functions like an if-statement; if a debtor who agreed to a collateral smart contract pays in time, the consequence for him or her will be different than when he does not. In smart contracts, there are many possibilities; between big enterprises, peer-to-peer (his favorite) and even between machines (for example in AI and the Internet of Things). Blockchain technology is necessary for smart contracts to become commonplace in business transactions etc.

What are Smart Contracts? Nick Szabo’s definition: “Smart contracts are a set of promises (contractual / noncontractual; contractual terms / rules), specified in digital form (electronically, code and software, contractual clauses and functional outcomes), including protocols (an algorithm with rules for how parties process data in relation to smart contracts, technology-enabled, rules-based actions) , within which the parties perform (automated performance, irrevocable smart contracts, encoded outcomes) on these promises” (Szabo 1996).

What are the different models for smart contracts? (1 to 3 are encoding natural language, 4 is only automation) - 1) Contract entirely in code 2) Contract in code with separate natural language version 3) “Split” natural language contract with encoded performance 4) Natural language contract with encoded payment mechanism (4 is challenging from a legal perspective, because it gives us the question”has a legally binding contract been formed?”)

What makes up a smart contract? A blockchain, with blocks (block = software-generated container that bundles together the messages relating to a particular smart contract). The messages can be the in- or output of smart contract programming logic or they can point to other software.

How do Smart Contracts work? First you have to understand the different types of blockchains: 1) permissioned (only certain people are allowed on the blockchained, allowed by an administrator) 2) permissionless (for example Bitcoin blockchain: everyone is free to submit messages for processing and/or be involved it he process of reaching consensus) 3) consensus protoco

Comprehensive Dictations Are an Underrated Way of Learning/Practicing a Language.

Hey guys! Just today I came up with quite an interesting method of learning or practicing a language that I'm going to be using, so I figured I would share it with you guys. This method uses dictations, which is essentially something being read out loud to you with you having to copy it down, just with some extra steps I've added.

To begin with, I'd like to say that of course, different people learn in different ways. This is simply a post that invites you to try a potentially new method that could end up working out for you! Moreover, I have not yet thought about whether this would be a good method for someone around A1-A2, but I definitely invite you guys to try. This method is a way of practicing a language that you already know/have a good level in (I'd say around >B1, but as I said, I'm not 100% sure on the recommended level for this), or getting better in a target language. Possible scenarios for the former are that you speak a language from heritage, but want to improve some aspects of it. For example, I speak Spanish from heritage, and I am fluent in all aspects of it, except for the writing part– yes, I can write down everything I want to say in a native way, but I make considerable orthographical mistakes due to not having a formal Spanish education (my school is run in English, and I take French classes for my language), which is why I mark down my Spanish level on my roles to C1. The only orthographical education I have for Spanish is texting people that speak Spanish, and reading the occasional book.

Last thing, this is not a 100% definitive method for language learning: it should only be taken as a side-by-side method to practice.

With that being said, let's begin :)

Step 1: Find a dictation. For this, you can find a dictation website/video, or find an article or something you're interested online, and use accessibility features (found on most devices) to have the article read out loud to you. Of course, there are also websites that offer short stories in a variety of potential target languages, which could be more convenient for more beginner learners. The dictation can be however long you desire :)

*If possible, I'd really recommend trying to find resources that have proper audio files by native speakers, since machine reading can get a little fucky sometimes lol.

Step 2: Start the dictation and write the best you can!

Step 3: When the dictation is done, open the resource you used (the t

Carpet Cleaner Goes Berserk

Foreword: This is not a political post. I'm not trying to start a debate nor am I interested in discussing anything other than the actions of this buffoon of a business owner.

March 24, 2022 - One month since Russia invaded Ukraine. My family decided to demonstrate our support by standing in the downtown square of our small town with pro-Ukraine signs. I shared my intentions on a local Facebook group and got no response. We showed up anyway - me, my husband, and three small children. I made sure our signs said nothing about politics and were super PG since my kids were present. Honestly, I thought we all looked kinda cute!

Not even two minutes after we arrived, a man in a carpet cleaning van drove by and started yelling at us. Whatever dude, this isn't my first rodeo so I ignored him at first. He then began to insult our intelligence, spout off Russian propaganda, and as he drove off, I thought I heard him calling us Nazis. WTH!? My husband confirmed that he heard it too so, of course, I call the number that was on the van. The man who answered was the owner and the very same person who lost his shit on us. I asked if he was the man who called us Nazis but he started yelling again so I just hung up.

Good riddance, I thought that was the end of it. But nope, carpet cleaner guy took my number from his work phone and started texting me from his personal phone! (see screenshot). Naturally, I wanted to write a bad review about this business and instead of being contrite or even wanting to clear things up, he's called me a liar and threatened to sue me!! Are you kidding me!? He insulted us in front of my children, called us names and slurs, took my private information and harassed me through texts, and then threatened to sue if I speak out against it! And you know what? There's absolutely nothing I can do except gripe about it on this thread. Trust me, I've tried.

Oh, and for the record, I lived in Ukraine for years, that's where my children are from, and I've been heavily involved with various humanitarian and military efforts - so yes, I definitely have a personal connection to Ukraine.

Slava Ukraini!!!

Golden Lineage (The story as I have pieced it from hours of dialogue, interactions, item descriptions, etc.)

Firstly thank you to everyone for your continued feedback and support. I absolutely would not be able to put this together without everyone coming in and pointing out the gaps for me to fill. So sincerely, thank you. This is now Revision 4 of this narrative and it has grown a lot both in its overall subject matter and accuracy. The original piece was around 2400 words and this story is now at closer to 5000. At the end end of the day however, these are just my interpretations melding the hundreds of pieces of lore that are in the game. The story of this game as intended by Miyazaki is always going to be whatever you want it to be. That being said I look forward to your continued feedback, and I hope you all enjoy this most recent version of "Golden Lineage"

In the beginning, there were four sentient races in the Lands Between. The humans were exemplified by a civilization of astrologers known as the Nox. While there were other tribes theirs was the largest of human societies within the Lands. Next were the giants, who lived high on the mountaintops guarding an ancient and sacred flame. Allied with the giants were the dragons, who lived all across the land, but whose congregated in a massive floating city high in the clouds. Lastly were the sentient beasts of the land. The beastmen of the land served the dragons as humble servants, and curated their great structures. For a time at least, all the races live in general harmony.

The Nox worshiped the stars of the night sky as well as a black moon that hung in orbit around the planet, twin to the white moon that also inhabited the sky. At some point during their stargazing, a being of the outer void took notice of the people of Nox and their little world. This being, which would come to be known as the greater will sought to make contact with the Nox. Whatever it is the Greater Will desired however, the Nox had no interest. They killed the Greater Will's vassal, a giant pair of fingers, in response. Angered, the Greater Will shot forth a beast from across the stars. This Elden Beast of immense power took the form of a shooting star, and as it crashed towards the planet, it collided with the black moon of the Nox inflicting massive damage to it and sending a rain of moon rocks, meteors, an

Apes VS. The World - Citadel's Marriage To Infinite Losses, ETF Basket Case, Synthetic Positions Masking FTD's, Blackrock Pokes the Bear, and Borrowed Time Closing In

i. Foreword

^(I am not a financial advisor. This is not financial advice. What you may read is for informational purposes only. Confirm the validity of this information if you do decide to make decisions after reading this.)

ii. Introduction

This post is a collection of research I've conducted since January. I've been motivated to connect the puzzling pieces that "control" everything related to AMC. Much of this information was talked about almost a year ago, but I'm creating this post to reiterate some important topics about AMC. I will not be creating a TLDR (Sorry Lazy Apes) simply because I think it's important to understand all of this to know why the price says what it is.

This entire post explains: the power Citadel has with HFT's, how FTD's are hidden, how ETF's are abused for profit, Blackrock's recall scenario, and how borrowed time is almost up delaying MOASS.

You'll earn some wrinkles from this post. The more you know, right?

  3. Apes Vs. The World
  4. High Frequency Arbitrage

  8. Epilogue

I. Who is Citadel?

^(The bad guys.)

Citadel is a Market Maker[MM] AND Authorized Participant[AP] AND Broker-Dealer[BD] AND Hedge Fund[HF]******.

As an AP, this means they have a right to create and redeem shares of an ETF. When there is a shortage of ETF's on the market, they can MAKE MORE. They can also DELETE shares in the float when the price of the ETF is lower than the price of underlying shares. As a MM, they oversee bid/ask prices to create a tight spread. Citadel's goal is to take your money.

Citadel clearly has no conflict of interest. The SEC designed their playbook they've been using far beyond 2008. The market we've been using since is designed to be liquid, so liquid it makes the most profit off of fast dips and fast rips. Citadel is short on everything because their goal is to buy lower than the requested order. This gives them every incentive to drive the price closer to $0 with every trade. They make money on companies dying with high frequency trading, d

How did Folklore get labeled as the album that isn't about Taylor's own life?

This isn't supposed to be shade or critique on the album itself -- I think Folklore is great -- but I'm just trying to understand how it just unanimously seems to be accepted that the writing of the album involved Taylor creating a whole world and characters of her own. Was it just because of the foreword of the album? It seems she was really trying to highlight how her imagination went wild and told stories that weren't her own, but the composition of the album doesn't seem to really support that?

  1. The 1 - Seems to be about Taylor's life, likely Harry
  2. Cardigan - Part of the infamous trio
  3. The Last Great American Dynasty - About someone else but she includes her role in the narrative
  4. Exile - About someone else
  5. My Tears Ricochet - About Taylor's masters
  6. Mirrorball - About Taylor's tour getting canceled
  7. Seven - About Taylor's childhood
  8. August - Part of the trio
  9. This Is Me Trying - Seems hypothetical
  10. Illicit Affairs - Seems hypothetical
  11. Invisible String - Totally Taylor and Joe's relationship
  12. Mad Woman - About Taylor v. Scooter
  13. Epiphany - Sort of hypothetical but also with parallel to COVID
  14. Betty - Part of the trio
  15. Peace - Taylor's relationship with Joe
  16. Hoax - No one knows what it's about but her comment during The Long Pond sounds like it was her sorting her feelings out about her own experience.

So that puts us at 7/8ish songs on a 16 track album about Taylor's own life still.

In contrast, Taylor has definitely written about people/ideas and not just her own experiences before, eg.: Tied Together with a Smile, Mary's Song, You Are In Love, It's Nice To Have A Friend, Starlight, The Lucky One.

I guess I'm just wondering why every single time Folklore gets referred to it's highlighted as this crazy new time where Taylor decided to write about something other than her life? Was this just a magical push in the press on the part of Taylor's PR team to really cement the idea that -this- is the time Taylor finally wrote about something imaginary?

ETA: I'm not trying to have a debate about the meaning of all the songs in Folklore lol. It's fine if your interpretation is different; I was just trying to highlight that there seems to be at least a critical mass of songs about her life, coupled with the fact that past albums have had hypothetical story songs, that it just confuses me why Folklore's big selling point was a supposed new style of songwriting.

Can I get some help picking a 3rd champ for ranked? Included is a critical assessment of my potential drafts and matchups.

I'm hoping this is detailed enough to warrant its own thread outside of the megathread, as I'm really trying to discuss this in depth.

Hi all,

Bronze 1 guy here, I climbed from Iron 1 to Bronze 1 pretty quickly, and I've been playing for roughly a cumulative total of about 3 months between this year and last summer. I've probably only been playing seriously for the first time since the beginning of this March, for reference. Before that, I got my account to level 30 last summer, played 60ish games of ranked, and proceeded to drop all the way down to Iron. I've definitely been dying less, but my farm still needs a lot of work.

I'm kind of at an impasse, because I feel like I need to diversify my champion pool a little bit or I'm going to stall. So far from what I've seen and experienced personally, climbing through low elo is way less about having a good champ pool and much more about actually understanding what's happening in the game and being consistent with something you like to play as opposed to the strength/matchup of your "pawn." I think I have the opposite problem of a lot of people who say they want to climb, and I've basically been OTP'ing Kled, with what I would consider good results. However, it's becoming a little more obvious as I climb that there are some matchups where Kled is really going to struggle and bad team comp might stilt my solo queue progress.

I've had a few friends pick up League in the last few weeks, so the normal spam and Irelia games are because of that. I'd say disregard it, but that definitely impacts my performance.

Current picks and champion impressions:

  1. Champ #2 is going to be Jax. For the sake of analogy: if my experience with Kled has been breaking in a new pair of dress shoes that I really like, Jax is a high quality pair of sneakers that fit perfectly as soon as I bought them. I like him, he's simple, and I don't have to think too hard about what "outfits" to pair Jax with. It gets results, but I need to put in some more normal games to understand trading patterns and combos. The playstyle feels right for me, I want to put 20-50 games in on normals before using him.
  2. Additionally, if you're going to recommend the holy trinity of noob top champs (Garen/Trynd/Jax), I really only want to play one, and Jax feels the best. I like Trynd, ut I feel like I always time the R poorl

Hello all, this post is a follow up to one I made yesterday. While some of the content is the same, I have had time to think more about the idea as well as expand on it with other members of the community. As such I have decided to compile everything in this post, hopefully making it easier to understand.

As this theory encompasses a wide range of topics I will stand by my decision to give it the slightly click baity title of “MEGA THEORY” …. If nothing else, it is definitely long enough…

I was also like to give a special thank you to the community for being so warm and welcoming and also to roseinapuddle and bio_datum in particular who’s input help greatly in developing this idea further! So without and further ado, shall we?

The Theory

With this theory I intend to introduce and justify a (yet) undiscussed magical ability. Specifically, the magic of “masks”. Questions this theory will attempt to address and clarify are:

  • Why can’t Kote open the thrice locked chest?
  • What happened to the original Amyr?
  • How do the Chandrian hide their signs?
  • What links sympathy and naming?

I also hope to identify and explain the limitations/dangers of this magic as well as its functionality. It should also be noted that this theory goes directly against the idea that Kvothe has changed his true name, while providing a suitable alternative.

What is a mask?

>“You see, there’s a fundamental connection between seeming and being. Every Fae child knows this, but your mortals never seem to see. We understand how dangerous a mask can be. We all become what we pretend to be.”

It is my belief that a mask is a magical ability used by Namers, Fae and the Chandran to hide themselves and their powers fundamentally changing how they are perceived by the world. Specifically, it requires one to create an alternative version of themselves that is both similar but also distinct. More exactly, and a Namer would be required to break their mind permanently in two having one half retain all their powers and only sharing memories with the other.

While this theory may seem a little hare-brained at first, I believe the principle of it can be drawn from certain passages in the texts. Before elaborating further however, I should say that I strongly believe that the arcane skills we see taught at the university (barring naming of course) are derivatives or a foundation to much more powerful counterparts. As master Kilvin eloquently puts it…

Confusion about ISO C++20 standard

I was scrolling through the C++ standard mathematical special functions and I got confused why in cpprefrence.com about complete elliptic integrals of the first kind it says in the error handling that

>"if abs(k)>1, a domain error may occur"

but then in the ISO in section 26.8.6 it says that

>"the function shall report a domain error for just those argument values which: ... or the corresponding mathematical function is not mathematically defined"

and if we look at definition of elliptic integrals of the first kind in section we see that they are defined only for abs(k) <= 1, so I would expect it to be required report a domain error with abs(k) > 1.

To make sure this is not a language barrier problem we can look that on iso.org it defines "shall" as requirement.

The Definitive Guide to Link Levelling

With the advent of Version Z finally hitting Global, many players are left wondering both how link levelling really works to better optimize their gameplay when using boosts, what stages are best for automatically farming, and so much more. So to help put these notions to rest, I've recruited the help of u/HarryTurney who runs the spectacular dokkaninfo.com as well as u/Kariru2 to help us with some more complicated equations to create a definitive guide compiling all of the information we have regarding link levels, how they work, how they're acquired, and most importantly, what we should look for in the future to find the best possible link leveling stage. I even have to thank u/DaTruthDT for bringing the craze to finding an automatic link farming stage to my attention, as well as spreading awareness on both 7-10 & 15-2.

Foreword & the basics

So, I would expect almost everyone to understand how link levels are acquired and how they work - But for those who don't and have just been seeing numbers go up, we'll start here.

First of all, every unit has a link level from 1-10; Every unit will always start at link level 1, and must be leveled up to 10. Some links have a much greater benefit from being leveled than others; some notable examples are the following links; GT, Big Bad Bosses, Fierce Battle, Legendary Power, etc., These links are considered 'valuable' because they will often have consistent uptime on a majority of the unit's teams, so when fully leveled you receive the maximum boost for that unit while running them on rotation.

Links are levelled up by bringing a unit into any stage with a stamina cost (to prevent infinite link farming, for some reason?) and fighting battles. The units who deal damage are entirely arbitrary to the end result - A support unit could never super a single time and still be the only unit that receives a link level up. Additionally, the lower the difficulty, the lower the chance a link will be leveled - We'll talk more about that later.

The chance to increase a link level is an incremental percentage that starts off relatively good and decreases with successive levels; This is our best approximation of roughly how that formula

Reading through INSAG-1 - Recap up to Page 14

Key reports: 1986 submitted Soviet documents, INSAG-1, INSAG-7

Foreword and Executive Summary (up to page 3)

Executive Summary and Introduction (pp. 3-14)

I've been having headaches over the past year - plus I got bored - so I got away from this. As I know people barely read the post in front of their eyes let me recap what the previous two posts were about (hell, even I don't want to read those posts at this point).

The hallmark expert reports on what caused the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant - listed at the beginning of this post - show a clear "evolution of understanding". Initially the Soviet experts placed virtually all of the blame on operators. INSAG-1, the first report of the International Atomic Energy Agency, synthesized what Soviet experts reported and subsequent Soviet + international expert discussions aiming to clarify the information offered. INSAG-7 was written a few years later with the benefit of further analysis as well as information, such as what the operating procedures and regulations at the time of the explosion actually stated. The arc goes from blaming operators, to smoothing the narrative by for example filling in previously unwritten false details, to showing the narrative to have been a big concerted lie so that powerful and important people could minimize their accountability and so that the Soviet Union could move past the terrible incident with the least disruption to its activity and image.

I had already juxtaposed the initial Soviet report with INSAG-7 but reading INSAG-1 provides a fascinating perspective on how lying can work. The Soviets - more artful than present-day Russians - made a serious attempt to provide twisted information portraying the event to their preference. Deception works best if it's genuinely believable. INSAG-1 is the international rubber stamp for what the Soviets wanted the world and their own population to think, albeit they still exposed themselves to some criticism.

A complex topic can be meaningfully reduced to key basics. This is how INSAG-1 introduces what went wrong at Cher

The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma- Bessel Van Der Kolk

>Trauma is a fact of life. Veterans and their families deal with the painful aftermath of combat; one in five Americans has been molested; one in four grew up with alcoholics; one in three couples have engaged in physical violence. Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, one of the world’s foremost experts on trauma, has spent over three decades working with survivors. In The Body Keeps the Score, he uses recent scientific advances to show how trauma literally reshapes both body and brain, compromising sufferers’ capacities for pleasure, engagement, self-control, and trust. He explores innovative treatments—from neurofeedback and meditation to sports, drama, and yoga—that offer new paths to recovery by activating the brain’s natural neuroplasticity. Based on Dr. van der Kolk’s own research and that of other leading specialists, The Body Keeps the Score exposes the tremendous power of our relationships both to hurt and to heal—and offers new hope for reclaiming lives.

Low Rank Brig Guide By A Low Rank Brig OTP

Foreword: I decided to dedicate my main account to onetricking Brig this season because it's my lowest rank account and I wanted needed to improve my Brig gameplay as fast as possible.

Credentials: >!I started the season at 3k, decided to onetrick Brig, had a 35% winrate in my first 20 games, fell to mid plat, and now after 150 games of Brig I'm 3450 with a 56% winrate. Currently focused on improving my Bap now but might go for masters later.!<

In Brig's best comps you will be almost glued to your other support, but in low ranks most comps will not be great for Brig. So to put it simply: If your other support needs help stay with them, otherwise follow a tank you can keep up with: Rein, Sigma, Zarya, Roadhog, or Orisa.

If your second support is Mercy/Lucio/Moira, follow a tank. These supports are mobile and/or don't need much peel from dives. Play in their line of sight when possible so you can give them repair packs, but otherwise the rest of the Positioning section doesn't apply.

As a rule of thumb I stay with my second support (Ana/Bap/Zen) only if there are 2+ dive characters or 1 that's actually being annoying. In my experience the annoying characters tend to be Doomfist, Winston, and sometimes Tracer, but you should judge on a case-by-case basis in your own games. Many a plat Genji will not even try to dive your Ana unless he's ulting. This is partially because Brig just existing next to the other support discourages dives, but also because low rank players prefer shooting the enemy with the biggest hitbox.

The other benefit of staying near your other support is so they can heal you. On your own you are very squishy; you have only 200 hp, low mobility, a self-heal that requires you to put yourself in danger, and one of the lowest DPS in the game. That being said, the question you ask yourself every time you die should not be "why did Ana not heal me when I'm literally right beside her?" but instead "What could I have done differently to live?"

If both your tanks and your other support are too mobile, you can instead follow a DPS or stay by yourself if that's not an option. This won't be necessary in the vast majority of games.

Repair Packs

Each repair pack does 110 healing so one will usually be enough for a squishy that isn't in active combat. Try to use them on squishies instead of tanks, and be more stingy if you have less.

The first one can go to just about anyone missing

Is "And Another Thing" Worth Reading?

I've been plowing through the Hitchhiker's series and just barely started And Another thing. Is it worth reading through? The foreword seemed full of member berries and it's not written by Adams. But on the other hand I also wasn't the biggest fan of how Mostly Harmless ended so I don't necessarily want to stop here! Definitely open to y'all's recommendation

Only 100 games left to completion!

With my purchase of Virtual Pool 64, that officially leaves 100 games until my collection is complete (North American). I've been collecting for about 10 years since I was 15, but have definitely slowed down in the last few years. I absolutely love collecting and learning about the history of the system and the games. The steep rise in prices has been a little discouraging as of late, but it's not going to stop me from pushing foreword!

I just want to say thank you to my fellow enthusiasts and collectors for helping inspire me to keep going all these years.

Why Did Kudzu Even Show Up to the Echidna Fight?

Foreword, I have not read Ward yet, so if there are any spoilers or further information that gets expanded on there, please don't spoil it for me. Please do just simply say something brief and insubstantial like "this gets touched on in Ward." Please please don't say "This whole issue is a huge part of a Ward arc that goes into intimate detail and tears your argument to shreds you dumb internet fahck." Like, it's not an overt spoiler but it still implicitly spoils something's importance. And also it hurts my feelings. Thanks.

Foreword 2, I read all of Worm almost exactly a year ago in a pretty fast binge and I only recently started brushing up on a couple things because I decided to give it a third try at writing a fanfiction because I replayed a CYOA and was reminded of how cool this setting was. If anything is wrong from the original Worm web novel, go ahead and let me know. I'm selectively rereading chapters and I'm only partway through the Echidna fight because I needed some character motives.

Foreword 3, wow this got pretty long.

So, why did Kudzu even show up to the Echidna fight? The reason I'm so hung up on this small part of the series is because I identify this offscreen decision to be the reason for both the PRT and Cauldron's downfall. Because Kudzu shows up, she gets eaten by Echidna and one of her altered clone's powers causes Echidna to duplicate into 4 Echidnas. Even though the copies were short lived and already decaying, for that brief period there were still 4 Echidnas to deal with. Both Eidolon and Alexandria were consumed by Echidna directly because they were overwhelmed and outmaneuvered by the sudden rise in threats. The Eidolon clone spills the beans on the PRT's connection to Cauldron which causes all the case 53s and a lot of heroes to quit the Protectorate out of a loss of trust. The creation of the Irregulars from this event later on leads to the destruction of Cauldron because of the Irregulars' dogged efforts to ruin the people who made them who they are even though the literal end of the world was happening and they really really needed to get their priorities checked.

(Skip this for reasonings against possible justification)

Now there could be an argument that the Irregulars' formation was necessary for the defeat of Scion. Scion fell partly because he became emotionally tormented by Eden's corpse and the psychological warfare that Khepri and Tattletale induced with the Eden lookalikes that they only learned about by

Unbiased comparison between JP and Global versions

First time posting. I hope you all find this interesting. It won't help you play better, I know.

Just a foreword: I am a native Japanese speaker and have been playing JP and Global version for a while now. Only rank 136 in JP and 156 in Global and not a heavy player but I consider myself not a bad player. Here is my unbiased and fair comparison for those who like to complain about Global this and that. I will use Global terminology.

  1. It is much harder to evolve characters and weapons in JP. Even with spending money, you can only get 1 limit break gem per pack and that is the most expensive 'L' pack. In Global there are packs that are cheaper and can give you 3 limit break gems. I still have so many unevolved characters because I always run out of limit break.
  2. Rainbow gems are also much harder/expensive to get in JP than Global.
  3. #2 being said, every once in a while, JP has a pack you can buy that upgrades your unit, including TW. The pack includes enough Gran, chickens, and 30 rainbow gems. But not tasmons for whatever reason. This pack is very rare though.
  4. Exchange markets never reset in JP but they sometimes do in Global. I think this is underappreciated among Global players. Luck gems are harder to get in JP and this is one of the reasons why.
  5. English translations seem to be much "richer" than the original Japanese words. For example, Rudeus' 5* support is just called ルーデウスの杖 (Rudeus' staff) in JP but is called 'Aqua Heartia' in Global. Another example: "Joker Selia" is called うそつきセリア (Deceiver Selia) in JP but is called 'Selia the Beguiler' in Global. To me Global always sounds cooler. Of course there are a few stupid typos in Global sometimes.
  6. In JP, multi energy cost is half of solo energy cost. Global, they are the same cost. JP makes a big deal about multi play so this benefit goes a long way.
  7. I've never seen a forever summon part 2 in JP. You get one part and that is it. In Global they give you two free chances but people complain a lot anyways for whatever reason.
  8. You think the Global unit pool is diluted? Haha
  9. Unit drop rates are NOT better in JP. I don't know why some Global players think they are better in JP.
  10. 10000 alch summon is definitely very good. I have gotten good units through this so I definitely understand that older Global players complain that this is gone. I don't understand, however, Global players who didn't play this game when 10000 alch existed are complaining.

[Unofficial Character-of-the-Year] 2021 Poll Results

Thanks to everybody who participated in the 2021 Character-of-the-Year poll that I put out back in January.

As a quick foreword for those unfamiliar with my polls or who need a refresher, I break them down into four general categories:

  1. Commercial - titled games from established commercial developers or distributors, in English;
  2. Indie - games from indie developers and distributors, in English;
  3. Mobile - games in a mobile format, in English;
  4. Not-Localized - games originally developed in a non-English language that have yet to be officially translated into English

The voting categories were:

  • Game of the Year
  • Love Interest (LI) of the Year
  • Main Character (MC) of the Year
  • Side Character (SC) of the Year
  • Voice Actor (VA) of the Year

Game, MC, SC, and VA were done via Google Forms while LI was decided during a tournament I held at the beginning of the year. Results were published here, though I've also incorporated them into this post as well.

Unlike my usual monthly COTM polls, for this poll, we were voting on favorites for 2021 releases alone. So any game that was released from December 2020 to December 2021 were eligible. I did pre-populate the choices for the Form survey based on extensive VNDB, Steam, and Itch searches, and I know that there were some comments highlighting how I didn't include certain choices--for that, I do sincerely apologize. My intention was to make the poll as easy as possible, since in my experience, a write-in poll reduces participation due to the extra effort. But I still offered a write-in option and was glad to see it utilized. ^^;; I'm actively tracking major releases across all categories, but I may have a nomination round to start to ensure I don't miss anything in next year's poll.

I also low-key wish I did not include re-releases, as to be completely honest, it doesn't feel right that a game or character that came out years ago but was re-released won. I think going forward I will only include "new" material for re-released games, like brand-new characters.

With that babble out of the way...

I present to you our 2021 otome favorites!

#The NewToReddit Encyclopaedia Redditica v2

Written and compiled by llamageddon01 for r/NewToReddit.

This guide is in no way intended to be definitive, and is completely unofficial.

If anything I say accidentally contradicts anything Reddit says, Reddit Is Always Right, as is this other repository of Reddit Wisdom, and I apologise in advance for any confusion. This whole thing might be in danger of becoming redundant in any event as the admin team of the new r/reddit sub are slowly rolling out similar guides to Reddit events and history, but I’m always of the belief that having more resources is better than less, so I’ll keep updating this to the best of my unpaid ability.

#An A-Z Guide to Reddit Jargon, History and Memes

This is an ongoing compilation of some common acronyms, initialisms, terms, slang, memes, references and responses often used on the internet with an emphasis on those specifically used on Reddit, along with links to any relevant Subreddits, Reddit History and Lore, and more. This replaces my original Encyclopaedia Redditica, preserved here for posterity.

There are two versions of this resource, both carrying the same information but in different formats:

Look out for one or both of these categories at the end of each entry:

Because there is a Subreddit for everything: - this will give links to interesting and/or vaguely relevant subreddits, many of which I absolutely guarantee you won’t have seen before!

See Also: - this will give links to other related subs and relevant links to other encyclopaedia entries.

This whole thing, including its links and hotlinks, is very much still a work in progress and is being amended and added to constantly. My advance apologies if you’re looking for a definition or link I haven’t done yet.

Enemy Design Causes Frustration, Yet Mihoyo Keeps Adding More: An Analysis Essay on Bad Enemy Design

Tl;dr at bottom. Sorry I didn’t put it at the top. I’m hoping something catches your eye as you scroll down.

I also have a google doc of the same content which you can use to skip to different headers or to grab a non-reddit link. This analysis essay ended up being wayyyyy longer than I anticipated it to be, so it might be nice to skip around or read in bites. Enemy Design Causes Frustration, Yet Mihoyo Keeps Adding More: An Analysis Essay on Bad Enemy Design

PART 1: Introduction

I have played Genshin nearly every day since its launch over a year ago. I have seen how the game and its community has developed during this time. Even though complaints are unavoidable in any game, I found that the same complaints in Genshin have popped up time and time again. Also, as evident by the backlash during the anniversary event, many Genshin players were unhappy with aspects of the game and the direction it was headed in. One category of these complaints, both before and in Inazuma, is frustrating enemy design. My analysis will consist of many things I have read in Reddit threads, but also with some of my own experiences and inferences.

I know that this analysis will have a lot of nitpicks here and there, but I believe that every single bad experience can combine to form an unenjoyable experience. I also believe that every bad experience will lead to a loss of a small percentage of players which will accumulate over time. This is both damaging to the community as it tarnishes the game’s reputation and means less revenue for Mihoyo. YouTuber Josh Strife Hayes has an excellent video about bad experiences in “The Quit Moment - Why Games Lose Players” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhQ_jKFnFSU). He argues that “if you were a games designer would you actively choose to leave a system in the design in the live service of the game that could potentially lose you money?”.

I have started this analysis near the start of Inazuma’s release (early-mid 2.0) and been off and on for several months. I have both been happy with the nerfs to a few of Inazuma’s mobs but also disappointed that many of my complaints were still violated with 2.1 onwards. Honestly, I have delayed this way too long and I feel like I wasted enough time already, so I will release what I have thus far.

PART 2: Unfair Punishment - Frustrating by Nature

Please id like some advice

I don’t really know how to explain the issue fully, I’m not very good at getting things out the right way

I’ve been struggling with eating for a good while now but it’s suddenly became more serious and I’ve ended up over the course of the months since last November/December loosing weight and winding up in the “underweight category” of BMI.

It’s something I’ve done that makes it appear not necessarily normal but not screaming it’s purposeful. I started eating smaller amounts when I already ate smaller amounts, made diet changes and made sure I went on walks very regularly. Plus some other things I won’t get into.

My point is that all it looks like is that I’m trying to be healthier I, but in reality that isn’t fully the case. All I think about is food, i intermittently starve myself, think about what’s next and what I will eat for the whole day and if I eat this then that means later I can’t eat that or skip this now and then it will make up for later.

And the thing is I know what I’m doing isn’t healthy or right and I know there isn’t anything wrong with gaining weight or eating things not considered “healthy” but I can’t stop. I cannot even explain why I’m doing this. It’s not about weight like it was at the start.

As mentioned I lost weight, without being specific I now show bones that have never shown before, but I still have meat on me that makes me look like I’m not starving. But I’ve started getting back pain and pain when I sit on hard seats and random pains in my stomach and not going to the loo often if you know what I mean. I also have just missed my period for the first time.

My mother thinks I just want to be healthier (partly true) and has said it could look like an eating disorder but isn’t accusing me because she was underweight due to chronic illness and hated being told that. Im going to get bloods done on Tuesday with her since she thinks I’m lacking in things which I definitely am but I’m so nervous to find out how much and what the doctors reaction will be. She’s also mentioned asking about diet changes and how to compensate.

But for all I know that it’s okay I am so anxious about putting weight on and I don’t want the results to be bad and have the doctor ask to weight me or indicate I have to start eating more.l

But I don’t want to go on like this anymore. It’s exhausting. There isn’t a single moment where it isn’t all that I think about or genuinely feel not tired.

But more than that I don’t want anyone to know I’m st

The Medium Is The Metaphor

Excerpt from
Amusing Ourselves To Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business (1985)
by Neil Postman

We were keeping our eye on 1984. When the year came and the prophecy didn't, thoughtful Americans sang softly in praise of themselves. The roots of liberal democracy had held. Wherever else the terror had happened, we, at least, had not been visited by Orwellian nightmares.

But we had forgotten that alongside Orwell's dark vision, there was another - slightly older, slightly less well known, equally chilling: Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Contrary to common belief even among the educated, Huxley and Orwell did not prophesy the same thing. Orwell warns that we will be overcome by an externally imposed oppression. But in Huxley's vision, no Big Brother is required to deprive people of their autonomy, maturity and history. As he saw it, people will come to love their oppression, to adore the technologies that undo their capacities to think.

What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny "failed to take into account man's almost infinite appetite for distractions". In 1984, Huxley added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us.

This book is about the possibility that Huxley, not Orwell, was right.

The Medium Is The Metaphor

Help with Cardigan buttonhole stitches

Hi there! I need some help figuring out how to determine where these buttons holes should go. I love straight foreword instructions but I definitely struggle with the guesses. Below is part of the pattern for the butthole side of the cardigan K 4 rows Next row: Buttonhole row, K2, YO, K2tog, K to end Next row: K Begin st st and garter stitch buttonhole band: Row 1: (RS) Change to larger needles, K5, PM, K to end and using the KFB increase, increase 3 sts evenly across row: 30 (33, 37, 39, 41) sts Row 2: P to M, slip M, K5 Row 3: K all sts, slipping M as you come to it Repeat rows 2 and 3 for a total of 59 (73, 83, 89, 101) MORE rows making 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) more buttonholes evenly spaced over this section. You will make 1 more buttonhole when finishing neckline (pg 4) for a total of 6 (6, 7, 7, 8) buttonholes.

I really appreciate your help!! 😊

I immersed in Spanish for ~900 hours without any background and without looking anything up. Here is what I got from it.

As the title says I immersed in Spanish for 909 hours (After the first 30.5 of which there was a 5 month gap, and the final 7.5 were spent to create the description below.) You can check out my github, to see a more detailed documentation of what I did.

For reference, according to the FSI it takes 24 weeks for diplomats to learn Spanish with 5 hours of class on workdays, plus three or four hours per day of directed self-study, so counting with 8 hours per weekdays we get 960 hours total. Here 'learn' means achieving a Speaking-3/Reading-3 on the IRL scale, which is about a B2 or C1 depending on which source you ask.

#My scale

To give a description of what I can do, I decided to pick content more or less at random, and see how well I understand the first 15 minutes. For this I made my own scale:

  • 0 I don't understand anything
  • 5 I recognize a word here and there, but I can't understand any sentence other than maybe the rare 2-3 words long one every-now and then
  • 10 I regularly recognize words and, rarely, I can even understand simple sentences that are a few words long
  • 15 I am familiar with most words that I encounter, but I can only understand short and simple sentences regularly, and I only occasionally understand more complex sentences
  • 20 I understand a good chunk of the sentences I encounter, but I also don't understand a good chunk of them. Understanding a sentence is 'not the norm' Most of my ability to follow the text still comes from other means (e.g. guess from the visuals)
  • 25 I understand the majority of sentences I see, but it feels like I still don't understand the important ones, I can follow the text to some extent, but I loose track very often and regularly
  • 30 I understand most sentences, and understanding them is 'the norm', and I can follow a good chunk of what is being talked about but I still loose track often, and sentences I don't understand still show up often.
  • 35 I can follow most of what is being talked about, but I loose track occasionally, and sentences I don't understand show up regularly, but most of the time aren't too much of a problem because of context. A lot of the nuance is lot on me.(jokes, cultural and implicit stuff)
  • 40 I can follow pretty much all of what i

The Best Gold Coin LR of 2021

Here's an early christmas present. Art made from Hitku's assets with a new timeskip background, upscaled to 2k resolution. Phone backgrounds be praised.

So! It's been six months. I'll skip the soap opera fluff & instead do my job on this sub. Let's talk about the unit.

LR Godku & Hit are perhaps the most well rounded LR in the history of the game, and perform a variety of roles so well that they can unironically do it all; The sort of unit that adds so much value to your box that you clear all of the applicable hard content you've been having trouble with right after you awaken them.

Not only is the LR great, but a variety of factors surprisingly make them not only an extremely valuable pull, but perhaps the best LR of the entire year for JP. Let's talk about that.

The crown weighs heavy...

Dokkan Battle, as a game, will have been going for 7 years as of 2022. That's a really damn long time for any game, let alone a mobile one - So we've been through a variety of incredibly diverse & different metagames that determined the strongest unit at any one moment.

A lot of us have been here for only a few of them, a lot less of us most of them, and a tiny percentage of us for all of them. Defense meta, offense meta, active meta, they're mostly buzzwords to someone like me.

What I do agree with is there are units, especially by now, that are some of the strongest in slot choices for events; I think nobody would jump out of their chair to disagree with me that STR Broly for example is truly one of the best choices for SBR as just one of these units.

So it's with some measure of trepidation I call LR Godku & Hit the best gold coin LR of 2021 - meaning I'm only considering him alongside any other unit that can be purchased with gold coins acquired by legendary summons; Until we actually look at his competition.

Surprisingly, 2021 wasn't that much of a bumper crop when it came to great gold coin LRs. There are, of course, exceptions - Units like LR Vegeta/Goku, LR Future Gohan & Trunks, and even some more niche choices like LR Janemba or LR Tapi

Xenoblade X "Prequel Theory" - (Spoilers for every Xenoblade Game)

Xenoblade Chronicles X – Prequel Theory

Disclaimer, Foreword, Credits:

Warning! This theory contains HEAVY spoilers to ALL of the Xenoblade games (to this date: Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenoblade Chronicles X and most importantly Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - including the Torna DLC of XC2 and just to be save the Future Connected Chapter of XC1 DE****). If you haven‘t finished just one of these games I don’t recommend you reading this. In order to fully understand this theory it is mandatory to know the story events of 1 and 2. You have been warned.

I started writing this theory before the reveal of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 so I don’t have speculations of that game influencing stuff in here. I only mention a possible connection at the beginning and that’s it. I do think the game might add stuff that I could add here later. But for now it is mostly about Elma, the ghosts and two very important figures that are mentioned a lot but never seen once in XCX.

I have to give credit to both Miiks (probably the best Xeno-Theory Youtuber out there and who I’ll quote here a few times – without his videos I’d never be able to figure this stuff out) and Luxin who's videos inspired me to think a bit more into this topic because of his video about the Secret Files. Make sure to give both of these a watch if you haven’t already. I also link some sections of other videos throughout the posts to give you easy access to the part of the games I'm talking to you.

Also I apologize for my bad English. Thanks to a friend of mine this script should be better than before. (Although I changed it up again afterwards… a lot. So it will still have flaws – Sorry for that.)

When I write “Blade” or “blade” I mean the Species of living weapons in XC2. Only when I write “BLADE” I mean the organization of X or their members.

This theory will be talking about how the new things we learned in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (if combined with what we already know from the first game) could give us a hint to what might’ve happened before Xenoblade Chronicles X and what could happen in a potential sequel.

Lastly: I have not played Xenogears or Xenosaga at this point. I only know some details that I’ve already forgot and basics such as Shion and KOS-MOS coming from that series. So whatever happened there didn’t have much of a

Full spoilers for the Wheel of Time, the show up to season 1 and all books.

Hello, everyone. You stumbled upon one of my wordy texts, thoughts I put down instead of letting them run around endlessly in my head. This time, I'm looking into Nynaeve, primarily from how she appears early in the Wheel of Time, with the show's first season and the Eye of the World book. This is all subjective, interpretation and often lengthy discussion beyond the explicit scope of whatever fiction I am exploring. Enjoy reading and please share your thoughts afterward. Cheers.

Context for the article, feel free to skip to the next section.

After a reread of the Eye of the World (see my article on that) and a full rewatch of the show, I am ready to start writing a bunch about the Wheel of Time. The choice for the next topic landed on Nynaeve, a little by chance, a little because I did not talk about her in the EotW article, and finally a lot because I loved her in the show, where she is expertly portrayed by Zoë Robins. Just so you know, the next three articles are likely to be about Min (I'm only half joking).

I want to stress every time that this is primarily streams of thoughts, opinions and personal interpretations. In particular, I don't wish this to be seen as strictly a review or an argument, even if I obviously make statements and turns of phrase that can lean in that direction. As always, I would love any kind of feedback and discussion, whether to agree or to disagree or to go further. Please keep it respectful and constructive.

Until not so long ago, I may have hastily described Nynaeve with what I would consider a surface level comprehension, even though she has been in my favorite characters for a while. This is because when you read about Nynaeve over the books, she relays an image of an immature adult, unrefined and who throws tantrums, with loud requests for respect and prideful displays of authority.

Now, I would consider Nynaeve to be quite the complex character, and I shall delve into several different points about her. I focus on fresh memory from EotW and from the show, as well as on glimpses from what I can recall from the rest of the books. To my surprise, this quickly turned out to be very long, and I even removed parts that went way too deep into later events and later character development. As it turns out, even writing about one character at on

Card Clone Dump cashout tips

Bit of free knowledge for you. Not enough of it going around these days, especially with how saturated the cloning market is these days. It's a long one but worth the read.

Foreword: Cloning isn't a full time job. It is completely hit and miss, you win some you lose some, just like literally everything in F. Everyone take's an L at some point in their career. But when you hit a w you know the works paid off. You just have to work smart. Learn it right the first time.

Start off with the common sense. If you've managed to get your hands on some proper clones (or you've done it yourself) and it's your first time going for an ATM; Wear a fucking mask and a hood. If you're driving, park waaay away from the ATM you're gonna hit. Always best to do it at late night for obvious reasons (people mainly), but there is a different reason I'll come back to. DO NOT GO INTO A STORE AND USE THEIR ATMS!!! I cannot stress this point enough. Most ATMs have cameras now, but a store will have many many more, and the atm may also have a built in camera. Best to just stick to outside ones that probably have a camera at distance.

Region Locks. Now this is one a lot of people are confused by. Being in the UK, I know my card would work in other countries, the same is said of clones. I could take my standard bank card to US and pay for things or withdraw no problems. Again, same is said of clones. It's in the name 'CLONE'. It is the same. A carbon copy. While I'm on the subject of locations. I personally use US dumps and clones as their timezone differs to mine, meaning that while they're asleep, I can withdraw without them seeing their banking notifications. By the time they wake up to see, I'll be long gone with my money.
Fullz sites can tell you if it is live or dead, but will never be able to tell you the balance, this can only be done from an ATM directly once burned to a JCOP.

Although MSR is also a brand, it does stand for Magnetic Stripe Reader. Any brand will do, but I will ALWAYS stick with my MSR605. It has never let me down and it never will.

Finally! Skimmers. Definitely difficult to get hold of if you don't have good access to an F site on the Dweb. Most you will find are a load of shit that doesn't take anyone's money but your own. Especially external GSM skimmers. Don't fall for them. Plug in ones are legit but good fucking luck getting one in. Skimmers over the card slot is the only one I've ever had that's done the job. Skimmers won't captur

My First Impressions of Hyperborea 3e

Here's some of my first impressions on Hyperborea 3e after looking through it briefly...

The introduction is quite neat, giving a good overview of what sword & sorcery and weird sci-fi is, getting you fairly pumped up and in the mood. The awesome new page-border art really helps set the tone. The three forewords which made up the bulk of 2e's intro are absent. Which I think is sorta neat, since it makes the introduction feel much more solid, coherent, and focused, instead of just being the random musings of three different folks.

The artwork generally seems like an improvement over 2e. There's lots of great new illustrations, including (among many other things) amazing page borders for the first two pages of every chapter and extensive artwork for the game's equipment. Overall, I think the new art gives the book a very strong graphical similarity to Dungeon Crawl Classics. A lot of great pieces are recycled from 2e, but a lot are now unfortunately absent. Thankfully, the stupid color pieces from the beginning of each chapter in 2e are gone, and good riddance to that I say. They looked completely out of place.

Beyond artwork, the general book layout is infinitely superior compared to 2e. This is especially true in the classes chapter. Character features are now clearly marked with a heading and proper paragraph separations. Just like a normal RPG book, go figure. Honestly, the whole thing just makes 2e look like a rough, incomplete draft. Huge improvement!

The classes themselves don't seem to come with any overt changes from 2e. When briefly comparing the books I only noticed two specific changes. Fighters and a few other martial classes now get a slight boost to Strength and/or Dexterity checks. Illusionist now have a nifty built-in arcane Light feature, letting them summon colored orbs; as well as a very useful built-in Alter Self cantrip. I remember hearing that there's subtle mechanical changes, but can't remember what and didn't notice anything overt after a quick glance now. So, overall, nothing major, but heck, the 26 classes were already pretty damn cool. Now they're just slightly tweaked and fine tuned. The new and improved layout for classes already makes a massive difference.

The classes each come with their own optional starting equipment kits. This is supposed to expedite character creation, and I love the concept... If actually done right. It's borderline useless here. It doesn't give you the stats of equipme

[effort] The physics of Clash Royale explained

Some clarification;

Well, it might not be, I could be fully correct, but considering the limited information, many of the new laws of physi
