If you think it’s wrong for an immigrant to fly their home country’s flag but okay for someone in the States to fly the Confederate flag, you are a hypocrite.
This isn’t an argument about whether or not the Confederate flag is inherently bigoted. I’m sure the comments will discuss that in the least civil way possible. This is a comparison of two scenarios: one that is often branded as unacceptable and one that is often considered acceptable, even if not outright supported.
Let’s assume for a moment that the Confederate flag is a completely innocent symbol that simply represents one’s pride in their heritage. On the other hand, the flag of a person’s home country can also represent their pride in their heritage. We’re on the same page so far.
Now you might say, “Yes, but the flag from another country is inherently antagonistic to this country and represents refusal to assimilate.” I don’t believe that, but let’s just assume it’s the case for a moment.
The Confederate flag is the flag of a set of states that legally never existed as an independent nation who rebelled against the Union in an effort to preserve their rights to a variety o

Science teaches human beings how to fly to the moon. Religion teaches humans how to fly into skyscrapers.
Imagine a world without religion where mankind’s full potential could evolve without the limitations placed by religious teachings?
Many are reading this as against Islam in particular. I can assure there was never an intent to do so. - This was meant to encompass ALL religions - equally.
That being stated, let me address the “racist” charge:
In criticizing an ideology, one cannot be racist, hateful, or bigoted because these descriptors apply to positions held against people and not ideologies. It is perfectly acceptable in a free and liberal society to criticize, debate, mock, and reject any ideology. The contents of an ideology are not sacrosanct simply because they are couched in the cloak of a religion.
If we were to refrain from criticizing religion, this would constitute adherence to blasphemy laws.
And since I truly believe their is no deity in any religion on earth that worships a god(s)(ess) etc... there is absolutely nobody to blaspheme.

As humans, we often wish we were able to fly like birds, yet we take for granted our ability to swim like fish.
EDIT: Too many people are taking my words way too literally. My point isn’t that we can literally swim in the same manner fish do. It’s that we watch birds, and envy their ability to fly without technology, yet we have the ability to swim without technology.
