Why YSK: It could save your life and your car. Swerving makes you much more likely to:
Braking reduces the likelihood of damage to any party involved, even if you do hit the deer.
(Or...you know, it hits you. As deer are wont to do.)
If it's unsafe (or impossible) to brake enough to avoid the animal altogether, maybe because another driver's behind you, or maybe because there just isn't time, brake as much as you safely can, then release the brake right before hitting the deer.
This will buck (heh) the nose of your vehicle upwards, reducing the chance of the deer going through the windshield.
Never speed up if you're about to hit the deer. This is never safer. That's a myth. It just increases the chances of losing control of the vehicle, and the likelihood of serious damage in general.
Post inspired by the herbivore who just pulled a surprise horizontal trust fall in front of my Highlander tonight. Even braking, it ended up being the second time I've ever made contact with a deer on the interstate.
First time, I swerved, totaled my car, and that deer went straight to deer heaven.
This time, even the deer seemed alright. And the car wasn't even dented.
Wish I'd known this sooner. 👍
edit: added it to the title, but forgot to elaborate in here originally - deer have no idea what flashing lights mean. If anything, they'll just freeze in the light. Flashing lights isn't to scare them away, it's to warn oncoming drivers about a possible hazard in the road at night. If it's daytime or nobody else's around, that part's n/a.
Also the commenters mentioning "where there's one deer, there's more" are 100% right. Great warning about safely avoiding herd animals.
If Riot acknowledges jungle as a proper role and a part of how the game is meant to be played then the summoner spell Smite shouldn't be restricted.
And also since flash is "mandatory" on basically every champ, why is that not the spell they are given with heal at lvl 1, so that they can learn how the game is suppose to be played? Instead they play heal and ghost and then once they learn the game they go "Oh, hey, I actually have to take this summoner that I have never used before on every champion.
You could also argue that this is a smurf-only issue but I've seen tens of thousands of players complaining that they would like to begin the game as jungler, and maybe if they could be a jungler earlier on, there would be better junglers in the lower level and elos. Saying this is a smurf-only problem is blind hate coming from someone who had bad experiences with smurfs, I mean, have you ever asked the new players if they would like to jungle? But obviously there's also a need for a jungle tutorial.
[CLOSED] - winners will be messaged today!
Back with a contest for the first time in what feels like yonks! And Mother's Day is a good a day as any to do something nice!
Drop an upvote if you like this kind of contest going on so I know for future as well!
This will end at some stage soon, so think of it as a flash contest. Go, go, go!
I have gotten more information (not a lot) regarding The Flash storyline and the multiverse So instead of breaking down what I know, just ask me questions.
I know I might seem like some rando scooper but this info will revealed in due time. I really don’t care if you think it’s fake. Just scroll.
Assuming you’re driving in the left lane and there is a slow car in front of you, is a quick high beam flick a friendly way of saying please move to the right? In my home country this is the norm, but in the USA, it seems this is rude? How else can you ask someone to move over? I have no intention of tailgating.
Edit: damn, I really appreciate all these comments. At the end of the day, looks like it’s up to how the car in front interprets your actions, and there’s a lot of different people out there
Yeah I know you may be thinking why not Spidey vs Batman's villains, but that's mainly cause he'd stomp a majority of them. Neither have to explicitly clear all of them, just beat as many as possible to score over the other. Neither are prepped, they only have their standard gear. Use PC Bats and 616 Spidey
Edit* to help appease those who say its a wash for the villains, I'll do some rounds.
R1: No prep
R2: Both have 1 day prep but don't know anything outside of their initial encounter from R1
Long night, work sucked, blah, blah, blah. Let’s have some retail therapy.
Anybody want a thing?
Rules are simple:
tell me you want a thing.
Talk to each other: Say hi, comment on other people’s responses, summon friends, summon complete strangers. Be kind, have fun, cultivate community.
Be kind to your mods. Done link anything, that’s a paddlin’, and a disqualification. Just make sure your wishlists are up to date, I’ll handle it from there.
Contest ends when I go to sleep. Could be ten minutes from now, could be five hours, it’s hard to tell. Gifting to occur either tonight, or when I wake up in the morning.
Good luck y’all.
This took place about 1.5 years ago (before Covid time) when me and my mom had gone to pickup my grandma from a friends house. I was 16 at the time and in my country the minimum age for driving is 18 so I was driving illegally. When going back, I had a flash of a police officer stopping our car and telling me to come out. This vision lasted about 3 seconds before I came back to real life and immediately stopped the car and my mom switched with me. We continued on and when we approached that place, the police were there exactly where I had imagined. I had never seen the police in that area before ( I knew where they usually stood) so I think I had vision of the future.
As I saw the pistol in my hand, I remembered taking the mushrooms hours earlier.
