Tesla has surpassed Facebook by market cap.
The jump makes it the fifth biggest company in the large-cap benchmark when counting the share classes of Alphabet together.
It now just trails Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet.
Thanks for the awards.
This is super old considering 5H informally disbanded in 2018 and 1D in 2016, but I came across an article in which Camila Cabello claimed she would've stayed with 5H if she was allowed to write for them and release solo music on the side, so I wondered whether the groups formed on X-Factor, like 5H and 1D specifically, since Little Mix is still together, would've stayed together if they had the creative freedom to write their own music, release it on their own terms, work on solo projects on the side and generally be in charge of themselves. In both cases, it seemed the rigidity and demands of management stifled the groups and they wanted to go on 'hiatus' solely for that reason.

Edit: Just finished the next book! You can see my reaction here.
So I picked up book 1 of the Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisin about four days and I tore through it faster than I usually do. I've been a fantasy fan for over a decade now and can honestly say this is the most uique book, in the best possible way, that I have ever read.
While it's still a fantasy book at its core, it's also impeccable as measured by every unit of measurement we use to judge literature. The prose is so, so beautiful, the narrative structure and choices are perfect, and the characters are so fascinating.
The magic system is novel and unique, and the setting is so incredibly described and revealed. To borrow some language from Sanderson, the promises of the prologue are payed off so, so well throughout the book. Jemisin creates a detailed, rich, fascinatng, and brutal world and keeps you entertained every step of the way. I could not put this book down and would have finished it in a day had I not been rudely interrupted by everyday life.
Jemisin deserves every accolade she has ever received for this book, and I cannot wait to read the next two books, which I will be starting tomorrow. My reading list is already long, but I am going to have to find somewhere to fit more Jamisin in.
And while I'm sure other readers were smart enough to catch the twist before it was revealed, I was not, and I'm happy about that. The realization of what Jemisin was doing and the way it was revealed literally shook me to my core, and made an already incredible book even better. You'll know what I'm talking about once you get there.
Seriously guys, please go read this if you have not yet.
My guy, she has maybe seen you without Ron or Hermione roughly twice in your entire schooling career.
Edit: Yeah, I guess it's this sub's job to take things seriously and defend Harry. It was an observation shared in jest. I swear I'm not "projecting" or "haven't read the books."
Sincerely, a Brit who's fallen down a weird rabbit hole at 1am
Edit: wow this blew up whilst I was sleeping. Seems the most consumed is black tea though. Thanks everyone for replying!
So I've been getting back into Vampire: The Masquerade recently. I had spent some time playing V20 (20th anniversary edition, more logically known as 4th edition) in the past but it never sat right. V20 has a lot of issues, and these were made worse by how my GM was an actual psychopath. However about a year ago, I started playing V5 and it's... dear god it's literally all I ever wanted from a vampire game.
Where do I even begin?
So Vampire: The Masquerade is about playing a vampire, a predator. One that struggles to maintain their humanity when they have to damn themselves just to survive. Your Beast, your inner predator pushes you to overfeed, to sin because the more you lose yourself, the more control it has. You play as one of several Clans of Vampires, which are basically an archetype of vampire from fiction.
Let's just stop there for a sec. You play as an archetypal vampire. Want to be Dracula? Play a Tzimisce. Want to be 30 Days Of Night? Gangrel are for you. Lost Boys? Brujah. They've got everything from blood mages to honest to god Necromancers all wrapped up with decades of lore for what they are and how they became like that. And it just gets better with every edition. I really feel like as the game goes on it just becomes more polished. Tzimisce went from being just alien monsters to lords who are alien because they think everything is their property. The Tremere went from being a pyramid of intellectual blood sorcerers with little room for your own story, to a loose collection of blood mages trying to pick up the pieces after the top of the pyramid was cut clean off. And every time I read about a new Clan or NPC, I just leave thinking about how much I love this game.
The game does such a fantastic job of making you feel like one of these creatures. When I play a Gangrel, I can grow claws and rip and tear or stalk the streets like a monster. When I play a Tremere, I touch someone and make their blood boil in their veins.
However VtM isn't a game about just being a predator. Even the most monstrous vampires have to struggle against their Beast, and for many trying to stay human is the only thing that keeps them human. Of course, human doesn't necessarily mean good. One of the best parts of V5 is the conviction system. You decide what made your character feel alive, and this becomes the thing that keeps them strong when their inner monster starts rattling the bars. One of my favorite characters I made was a Necromancer Detective named Lawr... keep reading on reddit ➡
