Examples:

Star Wars - Now we just have the first movie and none of the other movies or shows. We lose out on Empire Strikes Back, but the series never gets sullied by the mediocrity of the prequels and sequel trilogy.

Jurassic Park - Now we just have the original film and get spared from The Lost World, Jurassic World, etc.

You get the picture.

Plese correct me if anything I have listed below is incorrect.

• IIRC Star Wars 1977 was what caused James Cameron to want to be a movie maker meaning that if it wasn’t for Star Wars then the Terminator movies, Titanic, Aliens and Avatar wouldn’t exist.

• Star Wars allowed for the creation of a computer division group within Lucasfilm called Graphics Group that would later become a little studio known today as Pixar.

• Star Wars resulted in the creation of the Indiana Jones franchise which resulted in the creation of the Tomb Raider and the Uncharted franchise.

I'm not trying to say that other Pixar films are bad, but WALL-E is just better in nearly every single way. Storytelling is amazing, visuals are beautiful, characters are great, message is important and overall it's just superior.

Seriously Rey was in the forest recovering from the vision she got from Anakin’s lightsaber when the Hosnian System was destroyed. We don’t see her look up in the sky and seeing the explosions. She does look up later but that’s when she sees the incoming FO ships not the exploding planets.

And then Kylo kidnaps her and the next scene we see her in she is strapped down to a chair next to Kylo. We don’t know if she was kept unconscious until then or if someone told her about the SKB or the destruction of the Hosnian System inbetween those scenes.

Later when she reunites with Han, Finn and Chewie we never see them telling her about that the planet they are on is a weapon capable of destroying planets and they it destroyed the Republic capital hours ago or that it just about to do it with the Resistance’s Base.

I find this to be very bizarre writing because Rey is suppose to be our POV character yet we don’t get to see her reaction to the things that occurs in the movie.

This could include alternate versions of existing films (ex. with different casts, directors, production details), or something totally novel.

Personally, I’ve always wished Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian could make it to the big screen. I think it would’ve been a great project for Stanley Kubrick, perhaps immediately after Full Metal Jacket. I would’ve loved to see him take on a Western, especially with horror elements.

Tarantino Star Trek would also be pretty cool.
