Hi my name is Ana... and I'm addicted! to adding! exclamation points! to every sentence!
It's a habit I can't control! I think it's due to my need to please and not sound too rude. I realize that it actually makes my writing sound less credible and somewhat annoying. Any tips on kicking this terrible habit?
Examples include (but are not limited to):
"Good Morning Mr.John Doe,
I hope all is well! I'm finalizing documents and wanted to let you know I found a discrepancy in....(etc)"
"Thank you again for reaching out, you made my day saving me from this headache!! I hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Best, (etc)"
"I appreciate the information, thank you again!!!"
EDIT: WOAH IDK WHAT TO SAY, the helpful award made my day! Thank you to who ever sent it, I'm glad people find it helpful!!!
and a rocket too??! BLESSED. I didn't even know these were things but thank you so much!!!
Hello, I made THE CORRIDOR. It's this month's Humble Original for Humble Choice and also is available on Steam. It's a weird 20-30 minute long walking sim comedy game thing ("Wait, it was supposed to be funny?" I hear from the crowd.)
You guys have been very nice about the game so I figured I'd come and answer any questions you may have as well as give away some copies. u/squashpickle8 is handling the giveaway part so if they DM you a key know that it's real and not some shady prank. Though the game itself has many shady pranks so if you're against that kind of thing, I'd avoid it.
I will answer pretty much anything and will try to keep checking the post regularly at least for a while, so ask away! Or don't, up to you.
P.S. If you're interested in me in general (for god knows what reason) you can follow me/message me privately on Twitter at: https://twitter.com/freezenifitweet
EDIT: I'm going to take a break now but I'll still check in periodically and answer any new ones over the next few days at the very least. :)
EDIT 2: Giveaway ends at 7pm GMT on the 16th, by the way! You just need to comment to be entered.
EDIT 3: Giveaway is over, u/squashpickle8 posted the results down below!
He finishes his first pro season with 232 rush attempts for 1,169 (nice) yards - a 5.0 average per carry - and 11 TD's
Not to be oveooked are his 36 receptions for 299 yards and a score. JT just finished a rookie season that saw him 3rd on the depth chart in November, losing out on carries to a guy named Jeff Wilkins, by posting 1,468 total yards and 12 total TD's in 15 games. And he only fumbled once all year!!!
Another great back from Wisconsin, I can't wait to see what he'll do going forward!
For example, saying "No problem!" instead of no problem sounds so much friendlier and nicer. Or writing "hey man!" instead of "hey man" in response to a text.
Why YSK: Nearly all style guides agree that one space is correct. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) was the only style guide that overtly recommended two spaces after a period, and even that long-time holdout for two spaces changed its guideline to one space in its 2019 update.
Apparently we as a society used to do this in the age of the typewriter because the spacing was not big enough to appear correctly. If you use two spaces now, it indicates that you learned to type on a typewriter or from someone who did. I just discovered this and had to fix every sentence in this post. Am I alone on this?
Title says it all. I've got the red exclamation mark where achievements live but I can't find anything on any of the lists that I haven't already collected. Anyone else seeing that? I've restarted the game a few times to see if that fixed it and it did not.
Holy fk, that's annoying!

The Phoenix Government may be shrouded in controversy when it comes to other things – the recent D12 scandal notwithstanding – but if there’s one thing they’re doing right, it’s tackling climate change. The Mirror secured an exclusive interview with the Energy and Climate Change secretary /u/NorthernWomble about their launch of the recent Plant! Scheme and had a lot to say about the scheme – clearly, enthusiasm isn’t lacking (at least from the title)!
The Plant! Scheme, for those not caught up in the hubbub of British politics, is an endeavour by the British Government to plant two trees for every baby born in England – one in the UK and one in the Sahel area of Africa. One of the first questions posed was about the budget, and this is what the Secretary had to say:
For those more numbers-inclined, 12 million seems like not a lot for an international scheme for this scale – not to mention for hundreds of thousands of trees. When the Mirror pressed for more information on how the government would actually plant all of the trees, the Secretary responded:
This is quite a wise move by the government. NorthernWomble is also the Secretary of State for Education and used to be a geography teacher prior to his political career – so is therefore one of the most qualified people in this position and has clearly thought hard about the methods of delivering such a scheme. With schools being involved on the British side of things, any planting costs are very much decreased, and with the British birth rate at almost 700,000 a year, this does indeed seem doable. Adding 1.4 million trees to the Earth’s ecosystem may only be a small step in the grand scheme of things but anything is better than nothing by this point. With the climate emergency growing ever worse, the extra trees will help more than ever to counteract emissions.
When asked specifically why there would indeed be two trees planted, the Secretary responded quite passionately.
Say what you want about the Phoenix Government, but if there’s one thing they’re clearly doing right – it’s helping to prev... keep reading on reddit ➡
If you don't like teachers being friends with their students or being unprofessional then yeah, seriously stay away from those movies.
I hate Schue cause he's just really strange like when he flirted with Sue, sang Thong song and his rapping is so cringey, but the complaints about his unprofessional behavior surprised me, as I didn't think it was that different from the tropes of unprofessionalism in the kinds of movies like I listed.
I specify exclamation point 'cause the commas and apostrophes in the names of cards of named characters technically count, but periods, question marks, etc. would also count for my question.
And of course feel free to share other cards with name quirks like that.
While emailing support about the home black screen issue, I also asked them for help with the exclamation mark on the Events icon that won't go away. I explained it fully and sent screen shots of inside the Events feature showing that none of the Events tabs (long-term etc.) have exclamation marks but the icon on the main page does.
The response was that it was to remind us about Momo's quest, even if we've already completed it!
(Which, of course, is ridiculous and renders the exclamation mark useless as an alert/notification feature.)
I wrote out a firm complaint/request for it to be changed and asked them to forward my complaint to the relevant devs/decision makers, which they said they had done but asked me to understand that it might not be changed.
So, I just thought I'd let you know, in case you're sitting around hoping they'll "fix" it. They probably won't change it unless enough people complain. It's disappointing because I play on JP and the exclamation marks still disappear as normal, but for some reason they think making it useless and irritating for LN is a good thing. +sigh+
I'm still kind of hoping they didn't properly understand what I meant, but I explained it fairly clearly with screen shots and the replies seemed to be in normal good English for once, so I don't hold much hope.
Anyway, just letting you know.
Welcome to the EXCLAMATION STATION! You have two easy choices here... bless Shuffle for your recent good RNG, OR TURN CAPS LOCK ON AND YELL ABOUT YOUR GAME FRUSTRATIONS.
Things to be thankful for:
THINGS TO RAGE ABOUT:
Things to always remember:
I posted about this nine months ago. In the meantime I finally finished up the last few tasks in the Career window, and the exclamation mark is still there. No bug fix has shown up for it either, obviously.
Here's some photo proof. Literally everything in the game has been completed, and that exclamation mark has been hanging around for a very long time now. Is anyone else experiencing it and/or know how to fix it if it CAN be fixed without developer intervention?
CDPR, pls fix. This is such a stupid and annoying bug. Inventory management in general needs to be addressed, but this especially.
