Cheers!
How much do you put in? I put in 10 ml per 100g wax.
Let me preface this by saying that I am allergic to peppermint. Not like the throat closing type, but I do get hives. My brother recently learned that peppermint is helpful for anxiety, so he has started using peppermint oil to help. Whenever he uses the oil, I get covered in hives for the rest of the day. I have asked him to stop using it, but he said I was the one that was being selfish. Am I the asshole for not wanting hives?
I've been wanted to incorporate the use of oils in my work but the only essential oil I had ran out π . I don't really have the funds to get more. I know many practitioner say not to use fragrance oil because they don't have the energies of the earth / plant it was extracted from.
But all I have is the fragrance oil sets I got for my birthday over the past years. Can I still use these or should I just wait until I can afford essential oil?
Garbage that was sold to naive parents.
That is all
Hey, all! Not sure how common knowledge this is, but if you get matched with someone wanting essential oils (EO), or are thinking about sending them some, please find out if they have pets, and what type(s) and do some research.
Some EOs are highly dangerous to pets - for example, cats and citrus do NOT mix well - and the grade of the EO can also make a big difference.
Edit "food grade" is best, even if the person isn't ingesting it; it's also more expensive. That being said, there is no governing entity that certifies EOs. Your best bet is to check ingredients AND find out how the oils are processed. Cheaper companies may dilute or use other ingredients that aren't beneficial/could be harmful.
Chances are, if the gifted is asking for some, they've already got their eye on a brand and/or scents they'd like.
Itβs one of those stories where the guard gets a list of rules when they first start their job, id love it if you guys could help me come up with unsettling, and terrifying rules or guidelines, Iβll take all into account even funny ones :)
Hello all,
I am thinking of buying an essential oils set for my partner so that she can try out different oils/combinations and see which ones she likes best.
I am looking for a set that:
I would also be interested if anyone knows of a place where I can buy a set of "unusual essential oils" that meet the criteria above.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
I (32m) am currently getting the silent treatment for telling my wife (32f)that her system of eco friendly cleaners and essential oils arenβt working and I want to switch back?
Weβve been married for 10 years and have very defined roles and chores in the house. I work longer hours, but her hours for her job leave me as the primary caregiver for our child. I typically do dishes, cook every meal, grocery shop and meal plan, do household repairs, car repairs, take kid to school and pick up, do appointments for him etc.
At home, my wife is responsible for laundry, shops for taxable items like medication and toilet paper, and budgeting and financial planning (I make 3x her salary, but sheβs better with money.). I point these things out not because I feel we arenβt being equitable, but because I can see how a post about a man complaining about his laundry not being done might attract claims of sexism.
We both work hard, her job is just odd with hours and days. Over the past two years, my wife has really gotten into essential oils and eco friendly products. It hasnβt really bother me too much, but Iβve noticed that the cleaning products just donβt work very well. I feel like Iβm doing twice the work to get the same results. The detergent also does not seem to get all the smells out of my clothes. The essential oils, in my opinion, donβt do anything she has convinced herself they do. In general though, Iβve kept that to myself.
The problem is that these products donβt work well. Itβs hard to do the dishes, when the soap doesnβt cut the grease and grime. Itβs hard to get laundry done, when I have to rewash stuff because it still smells (Iβm a big sweaty guy.). Itβs hard to deal with allergies or headaches when she thinks wintergreen is going to βincrease my circulation and open my airwaysβ so we donβt need medicine.
I approached her this morning after finding my clean clothes for work were not actually clean. I asked her if we could get some tide to wash my clothes. She got defensive and asked why. When I said that I didnβt feel like the detergent got my clothes smelling fresh, her solution was to put these dryer balls with drops of essential oils on them into the dryer with them.
It annoyed me, and I asked if I could just get some tide. I even offered to do my clothes myself if she was against using that sort of detergent. She got mad at me. I ended up saying that I appreciated her interest in finding environmentally friendly ways to deal with cho
... keep reading on reddit β‘Made a post about this stock 4 days ago and it's flying today. To understand how undervalued they are, they just raised they're revenue goal for 2021 to now be $340 million - $370 million, while their market cap is still just above 650M. That's insane in my opinion.
I'd wait for a pullback tomorrow maybe since it's really high today but try to get in ASAP. This will grow similar to SE in 2020 imo.
Hey Iβm a little confused about dermal limits if the blend is multiple essential oils. What is the maximum concentration of essential oil if it is to be applied to the scalp? Especially if itβs a blend of rosemary peppermint sage thyme lavender and tiny bit of tea tree. Help!
As we all know essential oils are not the best when it comes to skincare. While they are well tolerated by some they can be really sensitizing for many! But how do essential oils perform when it comes to haircare? Has anyone got any information about this or any blend of such oils that has helped with hair regrowth? I came across a vid by Dr. Dray in which she talked about a study where rosemary oil and minoxidil had kinda similar results when applied topically for 6 months! I mean whaa- so I had to try this but the only kind of rosemary oil available in the market is the essential one! What are your thoughts?
Thank you sm :)
