I can grit my teeth and ignore the irony of promoting "player choice" while making our gear expire every year since I'm almost certain we will be getting another iteration of the annual "Hey Luke Smith here! This is why the major change we made last year was a mistake i shouldnt have greenlit and heres how the 2.0 version will work!", but that's not what this is about.
If you want us to play how we like and experiment with things how about not simultaneously locking anti champion mods to one or two subclasses a season? Cause saying "Play your way, pick your role!" then following it with "oh btw if you want to be anything be dead weight in in game activities this season youll need to run solar or stasis so you can deal with overload champions or limit yourself to autorifles as a primary. Then you'll need a shotgun for unstoppables and pray that someone else has anti barrier rounds" doesn't feel choice friendly.
Just make overload grenades a subclass neutral thing and maybe consider making it so things like auto rifle and smg anti barrier rounds use the same perk (instead of burning two slots) and suddenly things will feel much more free and open
Edit: you know, i made 2 posts before going to be last night. Kinda disappointed this one and not the pictures of my betta and shrimps over on /r/aquariums took off
The new buffs are fucking awesome though. That 20% AoE shred from his shield is amazing. I have a DPS Zhongli now and finally, finally my boy is doing some damage. More than that, he is doing big dong damage.
That pillar resonance kills mobs before I even get to finish my AA animation. And that shield can just face tank anything now. I think my shield absorbs like 10k HP so I'm basically a walking nuke now.
Even the ulti feels good to use now.
Damn, finally, Zhongli is starting to feel like a 5*.
The idea of champions wasn't a bad one in theory, but after facing them for numerous seasons they aren't as much challenging as supremely annoying, and frankly come off as a design crutch. I'd love to see bosses or big opponents with interesting abilities, interesting weak spots, etc., instead of yet more champions.
I'm so done with champions at this point. Champions that buddy up? So annoying. Barrier servitors that send protected minions around corners to fight while they hide? Not fun. Overload champions that constantly teleport and/or hide the moment they're seriously injured? Please. Enough already. The Vault of Glass was one of my favorite raids ever, and I'm dreading the thought of it being polluted by champions. Please Bungie, it's time to, at worst, tweak champions a bit and, at best, start phasing them out from being a default way to make an activity more challenging.
Update: To be clear, I'm not saying to eliminate champions from all activities. I'd like to see Bungie moderate their use.
Update 2: Thanks so much, kind guardians, for the awards and thoughtful comments!
Element (the Matrix app) say they were suspended without being notified and are reaching out to find out what's going on.
You can use this meanwhile https://f-droid.org/en/packages/im.vector.app/ but it's a few versions behind.

##Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) breaks away from protesting farm factionsAll India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee breaks away from protesting farm factions
A day after the protesting farmers clashed with the police on Republic Day, All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination leader V M Singh has said his faction is breaking away from the protest. 'We can't carry forward a protest with someone whose direction is something else. So, I wish them the best but VM Singh and All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee are withdrawing from this protest right away,' ANI quoted him as saying.

I see posts every other day condemning a community member for disliking a choice or design, immediately following with “you’re not an artist you don’t understand” or “it’s early in development” or some other reasoning, and I think y’all should stop. Yes this game is clearly not polished or close to done, but the concepts, the art, the things they are showing us are real. They show us stuff so we can give input, so let people share how they feel while it’s being literally designed. The people who are here right now care, the game isn’t even close to being done. Stop defending AoC from the people who want it to be great, by sharing their opinions both positive and negative. Be kind y’all, but don’t protect this game from criticism or you’ll be unhappy in the long run
Pyro is fucking broken in this game, Pyro is literally miHoYo's golden child
Oh you want to kill those annoying dendro slime? To bad, you need Pyro
Oh you want to light up the torches to solve puzzles and eliminate sheer cold? To bad, you need Pyro
Oh you want to break the shield from the most annoying element in this game? To bad, you need Pyro
Pyro literally can kill all enemies except Pyro slimes
Pyro > Hydro slime = Vaporize increaaed dmg Pyro > Cryo slime = Melt increased dmg Pyro > Electro slime = Overloaded, Pyro dmg Pyro > Dendro slime = Burning, Pyro dmg
And that's not the worst part, did you know that Pyro slime's flame would off if you make a vaporize or melt reaction against it? That means you can only do 2 Vaporize and melts FOR A PYRO SLIME, AND GUESS WHAT? EVEN CRYO SLIMES WHEN WE MAKE MELT REACTION AGAINST IT DOESN'T GO OFF, AND THAT MEANS 2X MULTIPLIER DMG EVERY TIME A PYRO CHARACTER HITS IT, what a joke
And to put insult on an injury, Electro doesn't even do shit if it's not a hydro slime
To put Electro in a worse situation, you want to pop those Hydro mage shield? You better bring Cryo
you want to destroy the Hydro fatui's shield? You better bring Electro
And that just shows how incredibly and ridiculous Pyro is right know
Every reaction that involves Pyro literally favors or put Pyro in some kind of advantage, and we're NOT even talking about the resonance
If that doesn't convince you that Pyro is broken, I don't know what is
Edit: Geo shields can be broken by 5 things : Claymore, Geo skill, Plunge attack, Explosive, Overloaded (which of course also needs Pyro to work)
That means Pyro literally can break many more shields (ehem... Dendro shield hilichurl...ehem) than the other elementsl
According to Dusk Golem "Resident Evil Village has a sorta small open world design, Metroidvania is the word the team uses. There's more of a focus on exploration, every area connecting, & returning to areas than most recent RE games."
Who are the people who are opposing Dover Forest developments? Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that many of those who oppose development on Dover Forest tend to come from an upper/middle class. Most or all of my own peers, who have never lived in such expensive areas would love the opportunity to buy a home in such an area. There's even a couple of top-tier primary school within 1.5-2km from there (Henry Park, Fairfield). And the ones who have come out in opposition to the development are mostly rich people who live in that area. So it really feels like a "F-U, I got mine" type of scenario here.
What's worse is that the same people who oppose it have the most classist sort of responses. "Why not build in Paya Lebar Airbase?" "Why not build over golf courses?". Do you know where the airbase is? Have you seen where most of the golf courses are? They are in the most ulu parts in the middle of nowhere. And asking the government to buy over these golf courses/landed property will just add more costs to new homebuyers. But who cares about them, right? We got ours already.
If it was really an environmental issue, one has to wonder where was all this concern when they were bulldozing Tengah Forest? It takes up a much much larger area and is more important (for biodiversity) than the Dover Forest. But Tengah Forest of course doesn't get as much attention, because no one lives there. Its all the way in the West and nobody cares about that area.
I dont see any difference between these pseudo-environmentalists and having NIMBY syndrome. Remember when the govt tried to build worker dorms closer to residential areas and so many racist boomers freaked out? The parallels are striking and the environmental issue seems so fake. All these so-called "progressives" too. They say they want more equality, more access to good primary schools for young couples. But when the idea to build more houses in these areas comes up, it gets shot down.
Thus far, there has been no "alternative" solution that offers the same or more area, at the same price, with the same or more amenities (great primary schools and distance to city centre). All the solutions seem to just be "let the young couples live far away in some area that n... keep reading on reddit ➡
