I bought BTC a while ago and put it into an Electrum wallet. I'm now trying to move it from there to Cashapp and am having huge issues doing so. For the second time, my transaction has been cancelled and changed to "Local" status after being "Unconfirmed" for a while.
Why are my transactions eventually being forfeited after hours of appearing to work normally?
Another issue I'm having is being way too far back in the mempool queue. Because the amount I'm sending is very small, I don't wanna spend more than 1.1 sat/byte sending-- which I knew would mean it'll take a while to send, but it doesn't even seem capable of doing that.
I get how the market is very saturated right now and a TON of people are doing transactions which is slowing me down, but why the fuck does my transaction keep getting cancelled? I'm getting really pissed off that Electrum can't manage to hold down and eventually execute my Unconfirmed transaction.
Any tips or advice? Am I gonna have to raise the fee because of these issues just so it'll go through?? Thanks in advance if anyone can help out.
Hidden code - ELECTRUMLOOT another one
Electrum cheasts look interesting, a potion, a gear (not tied to evergreen), a contract, some gems, and a bounty
A very cool looking chest - happy to see more of these
I was thinking about saving up electrum chests for when you unlock a new event champion and before you open any of their champion specific chests, you can open your electrum chests and gain some white to blue items for them (or if you have a lot, even go up to full blue). This way completionists might have to do less runs to get silver chests to fill up all the lower level equipment.
For this to work, electrum chests would have to work similarly to other type chests, prioritizing empty item slots, but I would assume they do. We'll see it wednesday I suppose!
I'm a beginner, I just moved my coins from coinbase to an electrum wallet and wrote down my 12 word phrase for safekeeping.
But like, what if Electrum stops updating, or shuts down? Ultimately what do I need to be totally in control of my own Bitcoin?
Those of you who have purchased from Electrum Sabercrafts, what is your overall opinion after all is said and done? Me personally: I purchased an Evo Flex about a year ago, and I love the design and build of the saber. The electronics however, have honestly been very poor for me. The saber has become basically useless and is just a display piece now, because the app is unusable, and the LEDs refuse to work correctly for me. BUT their customer service was helpful to me when I reached out to them, and I have positive things to say about the people I dealt with. But I had to send my saber back and get a repair, and it still doesn't work correctly, so I honestly just gave up.
As I understand it, Electrum chests will not be offered in the shop. But if they were, what would you be willing to pay?
Let's start by ignoring the fact that they may contain new gear for non-evergreen champions.* With that in mind, they have five slots:
Add it all up, and I think the value of an average electrum chest is roughly 110 gems if you want random iLvls for all of your champs. For people with specific iLvl breakpoints (i.e. medium-to-long term players who use Briv for gem farming),** it's 0 gems because they won't be opened.
EDIT: Shawn confirmed on Griddle Champions today that they can include shinies for evergreen champions. So they may be much more valuable than silvers for that reason.
Also, these chests have a guaranteed blacksmithing contract drop. So in that way, they're potentially much more valuable than silver chests for people who are willing to take th... keep reading on reddit ➡
I imported my BTC private key (after i had emptied it of BCH and BTC) it show two transaction one of the BSV coming in and one of it going out, but its not in my balance.
Can you advise?
The actual method have a huge flaw for privacy as it's easy to link multiples addresses to one wallet, why they don't use different tor circuits and electrum servers for each addresses of a wallet? That would increase a lot the privacy
Looks like there is really no easy way to recover BTC controlled by old ledgers with 1.0 firmware:
Electrum does not recognize them as valid hardware devices (it does see the ledger device but fails with "cannot get device status"), and no way to update the Bitcoin app, since Ledger Live manager does not connect to them (API HTTP Error 404).
For LL I tried with Safe+Network win10 boot and running LL in admin mode, which works with 1.3.1 firmware. Also tried with Android LL, same error.
Ledger, what do you suggest for recovering BTC when user lost their seed and only have their old 1.0 Ledger?
Edit: rule number 9, thanks. It’s so clear, how did I miss that.
I was just wondering if I can use the same pneumonic phrase with MEW as I do with Electrum to manage my bitcoin?
I'm just a little worried about having to safely store another 12 phrase words which could get tricky to manage.
(I currently use an air-gapped computer rather than a normal storage device)
I am going to buy small amounts every month so it will take a while till I get to $1k Bitcoin. Is it worth install and use an Electrum Wallet ( If you know a better one, pls tell me ) and when I get to 1k and send it to an HW, or I can just leave them in the exchange till I reach 1k and then buy and send it to an HW?
Bought this baby around Christmas before last and received it couple months later.
It’s got the crackling Ren-like electrum font and one other of Electrum that I can’t remember the name of. Both installed by Electrum. Black with brass chassis and red accents. Crystal chamber matches.
Standard length heavy dueling blade and LED too. I was originally planning on dueling with this but Covid changed that and I now need to recoup the money I spent on it since I’m not using it. The saber has never been used “hard”, or really at all for that matter, and (other than the factory heavy weathering) has no damage or use signs. It is like new condition.
Originally, it set me back 489 dollars (sheesh!). I’m asking 470 + shipping which I know is a lot of dough. Rational is that you are honestly getting a like-new saber with two fonts in as soon as three to seven days. With current lead times I know that I would have taken this deal in a heart beat if it was available when I was looking.
Summary: Electrum scion, brass and red accents (Edit, forgot to add):24k black gold ion plate Heavy dueling blade Heavy weathering Two fonts LED Crystal chamber Like new condition Great company, really sweet tech in all of their stuff and good customer care.
Asking Price is 470 USD. Buyer pays shipping cost and PayPal % fees (if applicable). Payment forms accepted are: PayPal, venmo (doesn’t not offer buyer protection though), Apple Pay (see venmo remark).
Last note: I’m not sure how selling works here. I’m happy to try to figure out image and video posting but can more easily do so in pms (comment here first please then send pm). I have no flair which I’m sure makes people nervous dealing with me... I can refer you to a transaction as a buyer on the gun accessory sub but that’s about it. Happy to work with you for verification but will not split payment or send anything before I have money in hand. Been screwed over that way before on Facebook and not about to let it happen again.
Cheers and hope everyone is well!
Edited to clear up some typing mistakes.
Edit 2: Adding this after comments by individual below highlighted some areas of confusion on my end and perhaps on the end of anyone reading: I normally work by expecting negotiations... if you think my price is too high, and/or that my valuation of receiving a like-new product months sooner than current lead times would allow you too is off, I encourage you to express your interest anyway and see if... keep reading on reddit ➡
So I have now installed and setup trezor and I have about 0.5 BTC to transfer from Electrum Wallet to Trezor Cold storage. I want to transfer everything since I have no plan of trading BTC.
So I am think about fees. I see there are 3 options:
Each options also has it's sliders.
So I have no idea what this means. It seems like it has something with the time it takes to transfer the funds and the charge.
So what is the best option for me? I am in no hurry to transfer. Can someone explain in a simple way?
I have BTC sitting in an old electrum wallet and I have the details to access it (the list of words). However these have not been moved since the fork or even ‘split’ from the other BTC forks.
If I enter my list of words into the latest version of electrum, will it still work and show me my btc? Or do I need to split them first. Also would I be at risk of any replay attacks if I were to import them into the latest electrum version?
We all know that a gold chest contains 2-3 items at least green, one of them at least rare. We also know that if one of them can be an upgrade, so it is.
A silver chest can contain up to two and electrum chest one item (white, green, or blue). It was suggested in a recent post and its comments that they also guarantee an upgrade and all my sceptic comments were downvoted.
I used several electrum and silver chests to gear up Hew Maan. At first everything works nicely - each of the chests gave me either a new item or an upgrade of an existing one, leaving one white item at the end. I started to think that the guaranteed upgrade is really a thing. Yet, today I've opened two more chests:
The last white Hew Maan's item was not upgraded. The reason, of course, could be that a green item is not guaranteed, contrary to the case of a blue item in gold chests. Hence, my question.
Do silver & electrum chests pick a color first and only then guarantee that it will be an upgrade if possible? Do we have an official statement from CNE about that?
Thanks for any info!
[Edit] The next silver Hew Maan chest contained a green item, which was an upgrade (the last remaining white spot). I tend to believe that, as /u/Cohutla has mentioned, once rarity is rolled the item is picked as an upgrade whenever possible.
[Edit] The confirmation came from /u/Nomad7: once the rarity is determined, the system checks if an upgrade is available. There are links to dev's blog in the comment - thanks, /u/Nomad7!
I am fairly new to the party and started putting my savings into btc some weeks ago. Currently i am holding most of the keys on my phone wallet. I want to change to something more secure.
Is there any benefit to a wallet such as the ledger nano compared to an electrum wallet on, for example, tails os?
Thanks for your help :)
Hi, I got STRAT in June 2017 (at 7.5 USD each!!! 1.16 BTC was the price!! to get 500 STRAT…anyway). I put them in an electrum-stratis-2.7.17-portable. Now this wallet is not connecting and I have just the seed and the pass. How can I swap to STRAX? Can I import the STRAT to the STRAX wallet using the seed? Hopefully it is possible since I found quite complicate the standard proposed method for the swap. Thanks in advance
If this wasn't cleared out yet: you can get shinies from electrum chest, I just received a shiny Stoki item!
Good luck with your chests!
Hello again. What‘s the difference between sending it to either of the adresses if they will end up in the same wallet? Does Electrum even support both adresses? Thank you very much in advance.
So I got some bitcoin back in the day. I stored it in Electrum because I could regenerate it with a pass phrase, all sorts of good things like that.
Fast forward to a world of it being worth something. Electrum 1.9.8 starts and shows my balance, but won't connect and update the blockchain anymore. I want to install a modern version and make sure that I can access it still (again?)
I have two generation phrases, and I'm not sure which one is the right one. How can I proceed to recover this, without blowing anything away?
Edit: After backing up everything twice and having a paper copy of my seed, I ran a virus scan, checked the GPG key, and then installed the new client. It found the wallet and everything went flawlessly.
It was a bit of a shock to see BTC turning into mBTC. For one brief second I thought I was crazy rich. :-)
This week's Gaarawarr's Guide to Everything in Idle Champions code is: HUMF-DAUD-KAIF which rewards 1 Electrum Chest and expires at 12PM PST on Friday, February 19th.
Is there any way to go about it?
I made a payment to my friend and set the mining fee too low it was unconfirmed for days, I checked electrum after a month to find it still unconfirmed. Electrum gave me an option to remove the transaction which I did and got the amount back in my wallet. Does this mean the transaction didn't go through and got a refund?
Wanted to get the communities thoughts on this issue: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/5839
I'm looking to create an air-gapped wallet with Electrum on an offline Android device, however I came across the above issue stating it was not possible to reproduce the Electrum android app (originally saw it here: https://walletscrutiny.com/android/org.electrum.electrum/).
Should I be concerned about this? I've used Electrum desktop for a while and love it and know it's viewed as one of the most secure wallets, but this issue concerns me.
Love to hear your thoughts! Thanks.
What is the best and safest way to download and install on my Mac? Is there a way to confirm what I downloaded is correct and not hacked? Also where can I go to read and learn more about electrum wallet? Thanks for your help.
I'm trying to migrate from BRD Wallet to Electrum. After successfully setting up my Electrum wallet, my balance there doesn't add up to my balance in BRD.
It says that I have 0.03052 BTC in Electrum when I actually have 0.03068BTC in BRD. Checking through all my transactions, turns out one of them is different between the two wallets. It says that I have received 0.00190383 BTC when it's supposed to be 0.00199335 BTC.
Can someone help me figure out why?
Thanks in advance.
I would like 24 random words instead of 12 just for extra paranoid protection but I don't see an option to do it.
I don't want to manually add 12 words, I want a random selection.
Also devs should look at how Veracrypt works to generate extra entropy by taking into account mouse movements, I thought that was cool.
