Hiya folks,
I just opted myself into electronic signature. Is there anything I oughta know before I get upset when I find a 3849 in my mail box?π
Iβm thinking about leaving a note in my outgoing for a 3849 so I can fill out the back and never have to worry about it again.
So, my husband and I are on shaky ground and I asked him to show me (from our accountant) what our tax return would look like filing married but separate as well as a joint return. He made a boat load of income and I made zero and donβt/didnβt want to be jointly liable for his taxes. Well, he just told me the accountant has filed it electronically (jointly as he wanted) and I did not sign anything. Is the accountant allowed to file on my behalf using an electronic signature from previous years? It does NOT seem right that I was not copied in any correspondence nor was I asked to sign. I was going to agree to sign jointly once he could prove it was all paid ahead of time but that option was taken away from me. βWeβ owe 110k and I know he is paying 90k this week and heβs good for the 20k over the next couple of months but I feel like something is not right here. UPDATE: needed to know who presumptuously signed βmyβ joint return in my behalf. Called my accountant and it was him. He had my e sig from last year and used it. Not cool, or legal, I am guessing.
If I use Adobe Acrobat Reader to sign my voter registration form is that okay or does it need to be ink? I don't have stamps so I was going to send the pdf to someone else to print and mail.
Hi folks! Hoping someone can confirm whether NYC marriage certificates can be signed electronically by all parties (rather than printing and signing)? I vaguely recall the city clerk we spoke with saying that was completely fine, but don't want to realize in a couple months that our certificate isn't valid because we didn't find a printer, etc.

This bill was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce which will consider it before sending it to the House floor for consideration.

I just mailed my documents to the Chicago Consulate and my medical certificate stating I have no symptoms was rejected for not having a physical signature. My doctor signed it electronically and the staff talked me into not asking for a real signature. Don't listen to them when they say electronic signature is fine, it's not. Chicago Consulate is nice enough to let me email them one with a real signature, but of course my doctor is taking his time even though I said it's urgent.
Edit: Got the letter with the physical signature. It took 4 phone calls. Just emailed it to the Chicago Consulate. My anxiety attacks have stopped.. treating myself to a milkshake for all the heartache!
It's at .53 cents right now.
I'm in at .58
I'll play the chart and if it does have a good day, I'm taking out half my shares at least
Dotloop, which is owned by Zillow, just announced a new privacy policy effective July 17th.
Under the new policy, Dotloop can share information from our transactions with Zillow and other affiliates, for the purpose of giving them market intelligence on an aggregate level.
Relevant excerpt: "We collect personal information directly from you during the account creation process and when you upload, create, sign, and complete documents using dotloop. This may include the information contained within your transaction documents."
"We or these affiliates may use the information we collect for our internal purposes, for example, to understand and gain insight into trends in the real estate market and to improve our home valuation models."
What's even WORSE is it is RETROACTIVE!!!
"We may share information provided to us on or after January 1, 2016 with Zillow Group and its subsidiaries"
I am not comfortable with this, so I want to find a new signature company. Who do you love? I used to use docusign, but their mobile app wasn't great. It's been years though, so maybe that's changed.
An eSignature provides the same legal standing as a handwritten signature as long as it adheres to the requirements of the specific regulation it was created under: Are eSignatures legal in my country?
eSignatures Legality Worldwide
Each country has its own laws regarding eSignatures but most of them consider electronic signatures and records as legally valid as βwet inkβ signatures on paper.
Hi everyone! After a 2.5 year process, I finally had my recount done. My last ECF was submitted in May 2019, so as of that date I had 105 payments and need 15 more. I had 10 more before the covid forbearance, so if my math is correct, I can apply in August. They are telling me Iβm eligible as of February 2021, but I believe that this is because of the covid forbearance payments not being counted.
My office is currently closed, so Iβm not sure how Iβm going to get signatures for my loan forgiveness application. Has anyone had experience with this? How did you handle it?
Hi!
Re: the affidavits in submitting as evidence of a bona fide marriage, some of our folks are a little electronically challenged and Iβm wondering if I need to coach them through adding their signature through something like Mac Preview, or if their typed name counts as βsigned.β
Thanks!
Hello!
I need to implement the electronic signature of documents in an application developed with Laravel.
The User selects a document, provides his password and confirms the signature.
Later I will need to retrieve the signature metadata, that is, who signed the document, on what day and time.
I already searched the internet but I didn't find anything that could help me, I would like to know how I can implement this routine.
Thanks in advance.
Does a company that is requesting the electronic signature from another company for a contract or work order, required to request a copy of the βsignature on fileβ for authentication purposes to maintain compliance ?
How would this be applied to controlled documents
My company is looking to maintain compliance and we are trying to figure out the bare minimum requirements to function in compliance with 21 CFR part 11 .
We are a small company of less than 20 people.
"Sargusβ order applies only to the Nov. 3 election and only to plaintiffs in the case: Ohioans for Raising the Wage, Ohioans for Secure and Fair Elections, and supporters of local marijuana decriminalization measures in nine municipalities. "
I have just read that the NI v. SLOCUM case prohibited electronic signatures for ballot propositions. Is there some way that this can be overturned since we are currently living through a pandemic? Obtaining personally affixed signatures in person introduces the possibility of a transfer of COVID, therefore this may be an ideal time to bring this legislation forth.
It's very close to the goal and it takes no time to sign it! If this proposal passes, spores would be legal to ship to California ;)

Thank you for your help.
I own a small business that provides services. Services can be completed in person with a client, or without client. Usually, I have clients sign an agreement contract about said services, client and I both have a copy of said agreement and invoice, and Bob's your uncle.
With the pandemic, I've been sending out a document for people to sign and send back. Issue is, it's rather cumbersome and kind of a turn off to have to send a document, have them download and sign, scan and send back. I was having those that were capable, open said document in a PDF editor, to where they can "sign digitally". Issue I have is that, I don't know feel that said agreement is liable by doing this technique, as it's hard to prove that I myself didn't just sign a document under their name.
Sooo, I've currently been looking at electronic signature services, such as DocuSign and PandaDocs. Though I do require said agreement with every client, for every project with that client, and usually have multiple clients a week or month, some projects are larger that could occupy half a month to a whole month. Point is, a lot of these services are about $30/month. Financially, I think that's tolerable when I have to create a lot of agreements to send out in a month. But for those months with bigger projects, the price is kind of a turn off. With that being said, I think it's a must to sign up for a service as described, I'm just struggling with which service.
I'm planning on just running trial periods of a few of these companies, and seeing what is preferred for me, however, I was curious if anyone uses an electronic signature service sites and what their experiences have been? Any recommendations? Thanks!
Not sure if I can ask this here but how is everyone handling documents that need leadership sign off? We have plenty of them and digital signature prep is a pain! Especially since their preference is to send in word and they sign and pdf. Thoughts?
Hello :-)
Digital signatures and electronic signatures, whatever they are coined on the name.... what stops me from creating e-signatures stealing an image of someone else's e-signature and then pretending to be them and sign on their behalf without them knowing? Morals yes :-) but what would stop run of the mill user from doing something like this?
Does anyone know of a good, easy website for my technologically illiterate professor to electronics sign his letter? Heβs submitted his letter twice to Interfolio both times missing a signature. He says he cannot sign the letter because he does not have access to a scanner outside of his office which is closed due to Covid.
Can't fill in my Electronic Signature, anybody else experiencing this problem?
