Do Egyptian God cards need to be fixed, retrained, or errata'd?

They don't.

I love watching for posts that speak to changing the effects of the Egyptian God cards, saying they should be OP since they're divine-beasts to begin with in a Divine Archetype, but so far, all I see are unreasonable effect suggestions such as

  • The Original Anime effect: Completely unreasonable. It would not last a banlist, and cards with effects like those usually end up finding their way onto the banlist. Point in case: Master Peace. Don't we want to keep them off there?
  • Roundabout ways that give a similar effect, but miss the fundamental issue and fail to solve it. There are more of these then I care to count.

Most ideas point towards the effects themselves being powerful... but what good are they if they don't have any lasting power/can't stay on the field? Cards as powerful as the anime made them out to be need something, and it's not a retrain, not an errata, and not a fix of their effect.

The Egyptian God cards

What they really need... Is better support.

In giving them support, rather then being so laser-focused on their lack of strength within their current effects, we can spread out their power level, leaving room for strategic and challenging plays worthy of cards in the Divine Archetype.

Not only this, but there have been too many times where a monster card hits the banlist, and is rendered unplayable in official tournaments.

We don't want this to happen. At the very most we want to see a limitation of the support cards themselves, and not the actual card they are supporting, and even then, no one ever wants this to happen to their favorite cards.

As written, these effects are good for the world we live in, the world outside the anime that has very real rules and PSCT.

So how do you give them support without breaking them(Egyptian Gods or their support)or breaking the support themselves?

  1. First, limit their effects. Engineer them so that their effects are specific and also can only be used ONCE PER TURN.
  2. Then, give their support cards effects that rely on very specific conditions being met/situational.

I've posted my ideas several times in the form of replies that have been lost in the sea of... well, other replies, but here is where the idea I had begins for them.

To start, Egyptian God cards rely on a very ancient form of summoning. So ancient most modern decks don't rely on it a

[WTS] 10x Gold Napoleon III 20 Francs; Egyptian Gods silver; 2015 Funnel Web Spider; Generic Rounds

Hello, everyone. Thanks for checking out my post.

Proof

Gold:

Napoleon III Gold 20 Francs. I have ten NINE Sold. Each contain 0.1867oz of gold. I’m asking $345 each +shipping. If you buy all ten I can do $3,400 +shipping.

Silver:

2015 Perth Mint Funnel Web Spider 1oz Silver - Sold This is a pretty cool coin. It’s a little milky, but not spotty.More of a fog. Where they’re in stock these are going for $10 over spot, but I’m asking for $30 +shipping.

Egyptian Gods 2oz Silver Rounds - Sold I have the Cleopatra and the Anubis Egyptian Gods 2oz silver rounds. These go for crazy money on eBay, but I didn’t pay that and neither should you. Still, they sell at a premium. I’m asking $80 each or both for $150 +shipping.

Egyptian 1/2oz Silver Round - SoldI would prefer to sell these as a set, or as part of another sale. So, if you buy them with anything else I’m selling today I’ll sell them at spot ($11.75 each). Otherwise, I’m asking $15 each plus shipping.

Southern Bullion Generic - Sold 1oz Silver Same deal with the 1/2 rounds. $30 +shipping or $26.50 +shipping by itself.

Payment: I’m set up for Zelle. It seems like the safest for me, maybe not for you. I’m willing to go through a middle man if you pay for all the extra shipping and tip them.

I’m a little more nervous about taking PayPal. If you’re willing to pay the fee we can work something out.

If there are other options for payment, reach out. It doesn’t hurt to ask. No crypto: I support it, but I have enough right now.

Shipping I ask that you pay shipping. Cost will depend on what you’re buying. I’ll get a quote and give it to you once you let me know what you want to buy and you can decide if that works for you.

Thanks for looking. I’ll be checking for messages after I get out of my night school. I am more than happy to supply other photos (within reason), and select specific coins (probably only applies to the Francs right now).

I also acknowledge that I’m new here. I am more than happy to talk to you over the phone or zoom to allay any concerns. I hold a professional certification and am going to law school, so I’m not at all interested in ruining all that to commit some fraud here.

I plan on selling some more of my stack in the near future, and hope to build up the rep to do so.

Thanks.

Namtara

The Lost Kingdom of Punt: mentioned often in ancient records, Punt was so rich in beauty and resources it was known as β€œGod’s Land” to the Ancient Egyptians. Now, nothing remains. Where was this kingdom, what was it like, and how did it vanish so completely?

Was Punt real?:

Just from the title, it should be clear that we know very little about Punt; how long did it exist? Where was it? What was its government like? What was life like there? Most importantly, we don’t know what happened to Punt. I’m sure that by now you’re probably wondering if Punt even existed, or if it was just one more addition to the long list of mythical lands. But that, to me, is the most interesting part: Punt existed. It absolutely existed. And how do we know this?

Punt and Egypt were trading partners, possibly the first in the spice route, an ancient commercial network of trade. Punt was essential to this network of trade; first mentioned in Egyptian records in 2500 BC, this relationship was maintained until at least the 11th century BC, though, based on likely Puntian goods found in earlier Egyptian tombs, this relationship may have been far older. The people of Punt were seafaring, in contrast to the primarily land-based Egyptians, and reached Egypt in large ships. After the 11th century BC, however, this trade relationship seems to have dissolved, though likely not acrimoniously. By then, Punt had advanced into mythβ€”one Egyptian love song included the line, β€œWhen I hold my love close, and her arms steal around me, I'm like a man translated to Punt, or like someone out in the reedflats, when the world suddenly bursts into flower."

What do we know about Punt?:

The short answer is β€˜not very much.’ As one historian put it, Punt is like a β€œvoid.” The best source of information comes from Deir el-Bahri, a 3,500 year old complex of Egyptian tombs and temples near Thebes. Here, in relief sculptures and paintings in the temple of Pharaoh Hatshepsutβ€”whose β€œdivine mother” (patron goddess) is recorded as being from Puntβ€”is an account of an diplomatic and commercial expedition to Punt, portrayed with beehive-shaped β€˜pile-dwellings’ on stilts and a number of palm trees. Egypt’s ships are then shown returning with β€˜marvels’ which they present to Hatshepsut; the roots of some of the frankincense trees brought back are still visible at Hatshepsut’s temple, which was modeled after the [architectu

Was the Hidden One god known as β€œAmun” or β€œYamanu” to the Ancient Egyptians?

Or was it an evolution of pronunciations where he was first referred to as one of those names in the beginnings of Egypt and was known as the other as time by later periods? And if so, which came first? I realize that it's survived in Coptic as β€œAmoun” (so basically β€œAmun”), but I was wondering if that is how it has always been because every single time I look at the pronunciation of his hieroglyphs, I always see three million different things.

  • 2 oz Osiris - $75

This particular Cleopatra coin is from the first mintage. A little backstory: Provident release the first Cleopatra in 2015 without plans for a series. It was a hit, so in 2016 they rereleased the same coin (with one modification) and announced that it would be the first in a series. The first batch of Cleopatras are the only ones that contain the signature of the artist Heidi Wastweet, and they are rare. The rest of the Cleopatras do not have the signature (to the right of the pyramid under the wing) on the reverse of the coin. Check any pictures of Cleopatra coins and chances are they will not have the signature. The rest of the coins in the series all have the HW signature.

Preferred payment through Zelle. USPS shipping at cost ($5-$8). Offers will be considered when buying multiples.
