23% of Tesla's Q1 earnings were from Bitcoin trading - and they would have missed earnings otherwise

Title says it all.

Tesla's earnings in the first quarter were $438 million.

$101 million (23%) of that came from selling Bitcoin for profit.

The other interesting part is that it would have been an earnings miss without the trading.

Did one make the other happen?

Considering the recent news about not allowing Bitcoin anymore, it's certainly a move worth mentioning.

Sabaka inu, earning money and helping dogs at the same time.

Welcome to Sabakatoken, the most fair token in the Inu world that you will find! This is the first token EVER to be promoted on poocoin as a pre-sale. This is possible due to the fact that the team is 100% safe and cleared so there is absolutely no funny business going on. There are currently 8 thousand people waiting for the pre-sale so we predict this to be one of the fastest growing coins to ever exist on the Binance Smart Chain. Marketing is on point, there are tons of influencers lined up for when the pre-sale is over, and there is a short 12 hour sponsorship on coinhunt to top things off.

As for the team tokenomics, something that is ignored way too often: 8% is reserved for the team of which 5.6% is locked for 2 months and is vested weekly for 0.3%~, this ensures that there will be no team dump since there will be motive for continuing the project.

Pre-sale information:

The whitelist is currently going on here https://sabakatoken.com/presale/ and there will be a raffle for the winners (so it doesn't matter if you are earlier or later). It ends on 05/18 at aaround 18 UTC.

The pre-sale will have a softcap of 200 bnb and a hardcap of 600 bnb, so it's not huge but it will definitely be large enough to stabilize the coin after launch.

That's probably the most important information, if you have any more questions feel free to ask the team in any of the places below!

JP Morgan spoofed their earnings to get investors interested, then sells $13 Billion in bonds to keep them afloat during the MOASS.

I would just like to firstly say this is just theory, don't listen to anything I say as i'm a smooth brain.

So if you didn't see yesterday JP Morgan's net profit soars 5-fold to $14.3 billion. I find this to be a little unlikely to be honest. We are on the the biggest bull run this market has ever seen, and the money printers keep on running. You honestly think a bank isn't going to get greedy when the going is hot? of course not. They have over-leveraged hedge funds and they realize shits gonna go down.

Why would they need to pay off so much debt if they are supposedly after X5 profits?

Coincidentally, one day after their so-called killer earnings they issue 13 Billion worth in bonds in the "largest deal ever by a bank". My thoughts are that they were loaning too much money, in desperation to get enough money to keep them afloat they issued these bonds. They are definitely well aware of the GME situation and there are many catalysts are going together are the one time, they're spooked. Don't think banks don't lie about their positions or aren't that stupid to over-leverage? Read this about Bill Hwang leaving Credit Suisse holding a massive $4.7 Billion dollar bag. No one has learned a fucking thing from 2008 and now people have to suffer again because of billionaires being greedy. They are gonna be holding the biggest bag of excrement.

CLOV EARNINGS ON MAY 17 2021 ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Firstly, mods are ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿป

But more importantly, CLOV is currently priced under $10. I'm hearing many people claim it will be more than double this come the next earnings report on May 17th.

For some quick background - CLOV, or Clover Health Investments, is a healthcare technology company that has been on the rise for quite some time now. They've been increasing their member count substantially and each member has pulled in more profit for the company as time moves forward.

Right now I think that the company is OVERWHELMINGLY UNDERVALUED.

This is not just a 'potential meme' stock, but it is definitely a long-term growth stock with investors in mind.

Right now the company is approaching $10 per share with a prior peak at ~$17.07 back in December, and a low of around ~$7.29 in March (for reference).

The stock appears to hang around the $10 mark generally, but search traffic has been increasing (checked using google trends) and I'm hearing a lot of talk with the next earnings report. Combine this with a higher volatility, this leads me to believe CLOV might be my lucky stock of choice that will bring me to paradise ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

I'm trying to start a mini-discussion here of the potential of CLOV as both a long-term and short-term investment. I think I like the stonk ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€

Again this is not investing advice, just things I've picked up on in the last few days.

EDIT: I found this on r/CLOV, worth a read through - https://www.reddit.com/r/CLOV/comments/n36aha/stats_for_04022021_clov_is_trending_some_analysis/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Tesla Q1 earnings report is out

Report (PDF)

Particular Q120 Q121 Percentage Change
Revenue 5,985 10,389 73.58&
Net Income 283 594 109
Adj. EBITDA 951 1841 95

This is pretty much expected after the good delivery numbers they released.

  • Automotive revenue stood at 9 Billion
  • Regulatory credits were 518 Million
  • Gross margins expanded by 95 Basis points YoY to 26.5%

Some interesting things I noticed

  • Tesla sold some Bitcoin and made a 101 Million gain. Elon Tweeted this about the sale

>No, you do not. I have not sold any of my Bitcoin. Tesla sold 10% of its holdings essentially to prove liquidity of Bitcoin as an alternative to holding cash on balance sheet.

This seems like a bunch of BS and I think They just wanted to Massage earnings a little bit or take some profits.

  • Elon can now vest his last two tranches.
  • Elon stated that they faced problems due to chip shortages.
  • Elon also predicted that Model Y will be the best selling Vehicle in 2022 or 2023

ETA production estimate that I missed.

Aggregated price target is now raised to $4100 and highest being $5500.

some more info

In 2020, Amazon invested heavily on coronavirus-related measures like safety protocols and wage increases for front-line workers. As a result of these costs, Amazon last quarter forecast operating income of $3 billion to $6.5 billion in the current period. Those coronavirus-related costs are expected to slow this year, although on Wednesday, Amazon said it would spent more than $1 billion on pay raises for more than half a million of its U.S. operations workers.

10 years ago, I started my own business. For the first 6 years, I made under $15k annually. It's been a slow, rough climb, but 2021 has lit my shit UP! Currently earning $11k/month since Jan. Can't even wrap my head around this.

The thing is, I was actually really happy with where I landed in 2018-2020. I finally got some solid savings going and I felt on the top of the world. It was only $30-40k annually, but that was more than I've ever made before and it was basically like winning the lottery to me. I wasn't dissatisfied at all.

When covid hit, my business slowed down a little. I could have honestly cracked on and just lost a few grand, and it wouldn't have been catastrophic--I do have savings. But I decided to take the break from constant client work as an opportunity to pivot my business to another angle.

I'm a self-taught freelance graphic designer, and I've been designing book covers since 2010 for indie publishers. I've probably designed 500 book covers in my lifetime. I actually really love the work and I don't see myself ever stopping. I'm just so attached to design, and especially this industry. I've been a part of fiction since my early teens. It's just where I shine. But there was a problem where I could only ever produce so many covers. Even if I spent 16 hours of my day making covers, there was still a ceiling. Apparently that ceiling was $40k/yr. Which is fine! It's great! But I just got burnt out.

And tbh, it's really hard to see an author you designed a cover for hit it big. I've had four of them. I can't tell you how difficult it is to get paid $250 for a book cover and have the author come to you and say, "Wow, I made $30k this month, and I owe it all to YOUR COVER!" Meanwhile, I'm rolling dimes to afford a box of tampons. Ouch, you know?

So I decided to shoot for being that author.

If anyone here has ever done freelance work, you know how important the pivot is. You have to try new hustles and see if there's something better out there. You have to diversify and never let one client/company/business make up your entire income, because that's not secure. One of the publishers I used to contract for went under in 2019, but I saw that in the cards back in 2017. They made up 90% of my income. Scary! Thankfully, I saw the writing on the wall and was able to move to other publishers, never letting one house or author account for more than 30% of my income.

Sometimes the pivot works out, sometimes it doesn't. You just have to kind of calculate whether or not you can afford to fail for a while. Usually, the answer to that is HELL NO. But 2020 was already a fail on many levels, so I thought why not? Let's write a series!

It was a bit of a risk, because I've

Amazon Smashed Earnings Expectations

KEY POINTS Amazon released first-quarter results on Thursday that trounced analystsโ€™ expectations.

Amazon shares climbed as much as 5% in extended trading Thursday after the company released its first-quarter earnings, beating Wall Streetโ€™s expectations for earnings and revenue.

Hereโ€™s how the e-commerce giant fared, relative to analyst estimates compiled by Refinitiv:

Earnings: $15.79 per share vs. $9.54 per share expected Revenue: $108.52 billion vs. $104.47 billion expected

Few companies have benefited from the pandemic-fueled surge of online shopping as much as Amazon. The company notched record profits and revenue last year, while CEO Jeff Bezos announced earlier this month that Amazon crossed more than 200 million Prime subscribers, up from 150 million at the start of 2020.

1 million worth of Call volume traded at the 150 strike. I'm seeing an evening out between bullish and bearish bets. Again I believe a reversal is close.

Edit 27 3:38PM:

Yes we're down a lot today. There is a dissonance between the price and the earnings call though. Keep that in mind. Earnings suggests a P/E increase while we're seeing a maneuver for a P/E decrease. On OptionSonar I'm seeing a flow of Calls trickling. Very interesting to me.

Edit 24 3:18PM:

Let's talk about how companies are valued. A lot of e-commerce stocks trade at high Price/Earnings multiples. So like 20x for example. I believe that with the recent move into e-commerce, that will lead to analysts raising their P/E expectations and raising the price targets.

We saw recently how Jeffries increased they price target to $175 at a discounted P/E compared to other e-commer

Entitled Mom tries to take my gaming earnings.

Backstory: I play fortnite, occasionally, only for the cash cups, because why not? I'm actually decent and get decent amounts of cash. I started doing this 2 seasons ago, and I have 6k earnings.

So, I was recently doing a duo cup, but all my partners were off, so I had to invite a random person. Fortunately, they were able to play. At the end of the tournament, we placed in the top 10. So we split the money, and went our own ways. He did carry me in some games that were crucial, but most of the times he was sort of a back seat player. The next day, I was grinding, warming up, and talking with my friends. EM got on his mic and said that I should give them all the money because EK was a crucial player. Anyways, I sent her replays. I told EM that EK carried 2/10 games, and the rest of the games he wasn't very vital. I do acknowledge that he was helpful, so we split. She starts screaming at me for being ungrateful and disrespecting my elders, and EK just cut her off. He actually became a normal kid, not EK. I don't even think he told EM that he deserved all the money. That's what he said. He apologized and we are still good friends, and now he's one of my trio partners. (May I add that we won another 2k with him over time)

Anyways, hope you enjoyed.

1K UPVOTES!! Best I got was around 700 . Thank you all so much!

P.S 4th on top and 1st on hot!

If you aren't earning enough, it may be your fault.

TLDR: How to figure the max tip in your area, how to drive up wages and tips in your market, basic best practices for newer Dashers.

So first off, this isn't a blame post or in any way intended to be adversarial. The title is meant to grab your attention, but there is truth in it. Let me explain:

If you don't feel you are earning enough as a Dasher, the fault may lie in that you are doing things Doordash's way and haven't yet learned that their suggested tips and incentive programs are to maximize THEIR profits - NOT yours. If you are competing for things like Top Dasher, or following their defined best practices, you may be leaving money on the table for them to swipe from you.

First off, to maximize your profits as an independent contractor - at least in the gig world - you need to change your mindset. It's pretty easy for us to think only about our own income for a particular hour, or what our deliveries net us for each day when we cash out. Or our own personal thresholds of what we consider an acceptable hourly wage for our own bills and lifestyle. But to truly make the most from a gig job, we have to stop thinking of ourselves and our individual income - and instead start thinking about our entire market - and the pay and tipping trends in our market.

My first suggestion to all of you is stop thinking of Doordash as your employer. Or as Doordash providing the market. YOU and YOUR OTHER DASHERS are the market. The CUSTOMER is your employer, at least for the 30 minutes you are working on their order. Without you, or the tips from your customers, Doordash would die. Another thing to remember, is that as long as we all act in our own individual interests and not in the interest of driving wages and tips higher in our market for EVERYONE, Doordash wins, and we continue to be stuck with poor base and poor tips. For this reason, remember that you are part of a collective, and when we as a collective start implementing some basic best practices to increase our income, EVERYONE wins.

The first tip I suggest to everyone is IGNORE all of the programs like Top Dasher, and pretty much any email marketing from Doordash corporate. The Top Dasher program is Doordash's way of trying to force you to take low or no tip orders, force the crappy orders to be served, and dangle a carrot in front of you to do this. The best thing for the entire Dasher community is if we ignore these games they play with us and stick to a few basics:

  1. Unless you are desperate to pa

The myth that young women will lust after 45 year old men in their apparent โ€˜peak earning potentialโ€™ ๐Ÿคช

For some reason the manosphere likes to sell average dorks these lies that theyโ€™re going to be rolling in 20something women when they get older, fatter, balder and their limp dick starts to decline. They wag their tails at the prospect of miraculously bumping up their value later in life and getting back at the women who turned them down (who were out of their league anyway).

Most of these men, sadly, are men that wonโ€™t even peak to average looking in their prime, let alone when theyโ€™re older. Many of them wonโ€™t turn out stinking rich either. Itโ€™s a cope they cling to for dear life. Most likely they will end up stuck on the clearance shelf. Which is why dating apps are mostly filled by desperate men.

They encourage them to manipulate as many women (no matter how out of their league) as possible, to focus on their careers and to wait until theyโ€™re in their 40s to grab a pretty 20 something to tie down. Lmfao. They are setting these men up to fail, but who are we at FDS to stop them? Dick is abundant and low value!

First of all- none of what they preach correlates with my real life experiences or my female friends for that matter.

In my prime fishing days in college, I lived in a big metropolitan city and was never short of well earning 20 something men to take me out. They were everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE. Well groomed men. You could have a field day. You did not need to breathe in the direction of men more than 3 years older. I still donโ€™t need to now. I donโ€™t date men more than 3 years older mainly because theyโ€™re just not attractive to me in the slightest. Most men do not have top 2% genes- after 25 a lot of them start to go downhill very fast. All the guys I went to school with who were notorious fuckboys ended up becoming hideous looking by 27 and had knocked up a few women on their way down, who they havenโ€™t stayed with. Essentially - they are losers now.

These men are failing to understand their competition is much more attractive, younger men with better bodies/more energy who have their own businesses and own several properties. There are plenty of 20 something men with impressive portfolios who look better than they do. Thereโ€™s also a lot of men in gen z making money from Instagram/Tik Tok and YouTube now. There are tons of young male digital entrepreneurs, not to mention many women are now young entrepreneurs who just simply donโ€™t need to jump on some 50 year old sick just because he has some cash. They have their own. Theyโ€™d rather
