Dramamine

Just found out the other day that Dramamine has lactose in it. Went to the store to get some since I get motion sickness in the car, in preparation for a long drive. Read the ingredients on ALL the dramamine boxes/variants, and they all have LACTOSE!!! So beware!!! I ended up buying the natural version which was literally a ton of ginger powder inside a capsule. Surprisingly it seemed to help. But yeah, FYI!!!!!

I like that tired of life and losing hope vibe, most of the songs that fit that vibe are from the 90s and ive gobbled up every decibel from them lol so im mostly looking for newer stuff. I love dramamine especially because of that wowowo noise from the guitar lol it makes it sadder sounding if you get me, if you know a song that abuses that noise I’d love to hear it. the main genres I listen to are progressive and alternative metal but I can go for literally anything if it has this hopeless vibe to it.

I've got 600mg and I'm 5'10" 220 pounds is that enough to trip? I've done DPH a bunch of times with 850mg my highest dose so I think I kinda know what to expect.

I will not go into it but I am mentally ill. I am easily angered and I also believe I struggle with some form of depression. I had a rough upbringing that has left me with some mental scars. I am also in a shitty place in my life. Will DPH make things worse??

For the last 2 days I have been feeling very sleepy and weak. I’m nodding off a lot and feel the constant need to sleep. I don’t feel like I have the flu, but I feel like I have been drugged. The only thing different has been the less drowsy Dramamine (meclizine) I have taken over the past 2 days.

Have any of you taken these two meds together? How did it make you feel? Is it a bad combination? One of the interaction sites say there is a moderate interaction but I don’t know, it just seems like this has me way too drugged for an OTC medication. I should mention that I have taken meclizine before I was on methadone and never felt anything.

Okay, so...
I've been really depressed lately. Not sure what all is wrong. Probably some PTSD and stuff. On Friday morning, I took a bunch of Ativan, Tylenol, and a Zofran to try and make myself feel better. It mostly just knocked me out.
Then, on Friday night around 8pm, the high was wearing off. I didn't want to be all stressed again so I found some Dramamine in my parents' cupboard.
They were 100mg tablets and I took 6. Well, technically, I took 4 of those and then two random tablets that were apparently also Dramamine.
Then, a friend messaged me and somehow I ended up telling her what I did. Oh, right... she had told me to try Benedryl to sleep, but we didn't have any. That's what was up. And my friend told me to call the Poison Control center when she found out I took 600mg.
So, I drove myself to the hospital. Probably a bad idea, but I was okay. The Poison Control guy said I could get a ticket or something, but I didn't want my parents to know, so I just took myself.
I walked into the hospital and told them what was up.
They put me on a stretcher and I was trying to just sleep. That's mostly why I took the Dramamine. I wanted to knock myself out.
Well...
It wasn't as good as the Ativan, Tylenol, Zofran combination.
I was just as tired, but the left side of my body was super restless. It kept like... flailing around outside of my control.
I kept hearing lots of people talking, but nothing they said made any sense. I found it really comforting to just listen to the random conversations, though.
At one point, I remember that the doc came in and said something about me falling off the bed. It went down like
Doc: *walks in* Are you falling off the bed?
Me: Huh?
Doc: You look like you're about to fall off the bed. Maybe we should put that railing up.
They also kept asking me to look at them so they could check my eyes.
They did lots of heart tracings, too. And gave me two bags of IV fluid.
At one point, I remember that I swore I was at home. Like, I didn't realize I was in the hospital.
At another time, I was trying to get rid of the restlessness. So I grabbed onto the sink and kept just walking in place.

Dramamine Sucks too. If you like slight hallucinations, a little bit of paranoia, and being confused all the time, it might be for you.

Did you know it’s addictive and that your tolerance builds up crazy high crazy fast? It can go from 10 pills (500mg) throughly blacking you out to 100 pills keeping you through the day.

The withdrawals are a bitch. Total confusion to the point where you can’t type and noticeably get confused in conversation. Then you can’t keep anything down. I have the potential to puke after every meal. The confusion only lasts a few days but excessive fatigue and puking lasts a few more. Almost like phases.

I wish I could say this was the last time I’ll experience this but it isn’t the first, so idk...

I was 14 at the time. I was visiting my aunt up in Alaska. I was allredy drinking daily pretty much and smoking weed and an occasional tab of acid. It was in kodiak and I didn’t know anyone there. Around the third day being there I started withdrawing . I tried to find any local plugs but I couldn’t find one. I thought about stealing some beer or whatever I could get my hands on. But the only stores there had it in a spot that everyone could see so crackhead me started looking up over the counter medicines I could get High on. I tried stealing dxm I tried it but I didn’t like it. Then I got a bottle of Dramamine. All I knew about it that it would make u hallucinate. But it wasn’t like I expected it to be like. I took around 750mg. Not realizing that it was a monster dose for my age and could of died. I take the pills wait around an hour I start feeling a buzzing feeling then I feel like I’m about to vomit I go to the bathroom try to vomit but I couldn’t. My face was pale af. I started having chest pains. I really felt like I was going to die. I was just curled up on the floor for about 10 min. I didn’t want to call an ambulance or wake my aunt. Because I knew I would be going straight to rehab. So I just excepted that I was going to die. But around 15 min later I felt completely fine. I started seeing a weird sheet over everything almost looked like a fuzzy carpet over everything. I sat on the couch and started seeing the carpet breath I could hear it breathing and every time I took a breath. It would get closer and closer to me until it got close to my feet I would jump and it would go back to the same spot in the middle of the living room. Then a floating girl with her hair covering her face was just hovering in front of me. I was completely unfazed while all of this was happening. I knew I was hallucinating but part of my mind wanted to believe it was real. I start seeing lizards and puppies run around the room. They looked like they had a cloaking devise on them or something. I could only see there outline. I keep watching the breathing carpet for idk maybe an hour. Then I see my aunts daughter walk in the room. she wasn’t there at the time so it freaked me out a lot. While I’m watching her I say hi. She mumbles something I didn’t understand and. I just watch as she opens a safe hidden in the wall takes out what looked like a dvd and just walks off. As per title, has anyone used anti-motion sickness medication for VR? If so, do you think it helped you acclimatise, get your VR legs, or do you think it could slow down acclimation?

I know deliriants get a lot of hate here which is understandable. However I have decided to go through with ut for old times sake. Tonight I plan on taking a 3rd plateu dosagw of DXM( so for my weight about 900 mg) and about 400 mg of Dramamine. Just gor reference I am male, 20, 6ft and I weigh about 170 lbs. Would 400 mg of Dramamine be enough for a nightmare trip? Would the high dose of DXM save me??

I’ve never taken Dramamine (/meclizine/etc), but a few (6-7) hours ago I took one of the “less drowsy” Dramamine. Within the past hour or so I feel tired/cozy as though I’ve taken some Xanax (I have a prescription for my anxiety). Is this normal? I didn’t feel drowsy the first few hrs so I don’t know if I should jump to say it’s because of the Dramamine, but that pill is honestly the only reasonable explanation. It also seems a little bit intense of an exhaustion for a semi-drowsy medication. Pls tell me drowsiness is still a common response to the “all day” Dramamine

I don’t take my Xanax often because it makes me feel less in control & this is pretty much the same feeling, so it’s making me super uneasy, but it’ll help me make peace with the feeling if I know what’s causing it

Hey all. I suffer massively from hangover vomiting. The kind of vomiting that lasts 18 hours straight and makes my hangover anxiety even worse. Its the worst on Mondays because obviously I'm on a bender from Friday after work until Sunday when I go to sleep for work on Monday. Anyfuckingways, I got some Dramamine today and I'm wondering what your experiences are with it? I always read these reviews saying how fucking awsome it is but I always just assume those reviews are from normies who have no idea what a real hangover even is. Will this shit work for us CAs or am I getting my hopes up?

Advise please: tried Contravene and had severe nausea & vomiting. I see people talk about taking Dramamine......when do you take it & how much do you take? Really nervous about trying Contravene again because I had very bad side affects. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. TYIA

High dosage Benadryl trip report ( 900 mg Diphenhydramine/Dramamine)

T - 0:00 (900 mg Dramamine immediate release)

I ingest 900 mg of Dramamine in liquid form. Mild sedative effects start to take effect in a span of 15-20 mins.

Physical effects are amplified:

> Mild disorientation.

> Sense of weight loss in legs.

> Sense of vibration in hands and upper body (mild tremors).

> Eye sight locked on to objects for extended periods of time.

> Minimal effects on memory pattern.

T + 1:30

Mental and physical effects amplified further:

> Low levels of anxiety, calm demeanor.

> Difficult to differentiate real and hallucinatory audio in the environment.

> Constant hum in the ears, also blockage of sinuses similar to that of elevation gain.

> Walking seems to be a difficult task due to constant variation in physical sensation.

> Increased hunger (Sudden hunger pangs even just 30 mins after a large meal).

> Food tastes dry and bland.

Beyond this point there is sound sleep. Continuous vivid dreams occur for nearly 5-6 hrs (lasting memory). Waking up from the trip I feel surprisingly calm, no hangover effects.
Mind however feels slightly numb, and slow to respond. No variation in moods or feeling of wellbeing.

Note - Open eyed visuals were constant and increased with repeated closing and opening of eyes. Looking around the area seems to have limited vivid visuals to about 30-40 degrees in the periphery.
