Not much more to it than what I put in the title. Appreciate the good dads. I feel like one reason Mother’s Day (deservingly) gets emphasized so much is the pressure that gets put on single moms due to dads walking out. Not saying you can’t succeed if you don’t have a dad, but I have the utmost respect for anyone succeeding despite being disadvantaged.
Despite being the shorter man in several of his UFC fights, he had equal reach to Nick Diaz and Jason Miller at 76", and a reach advantage over everyone else. Even a 0.5" advantage over middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
Some of his early pre-UFC opponents don't have reach data available , but it's likely that he never had a reach disadvantage in his entire pro career.
Hi there travelers!
As you might recall, from Friday, March 6, 2020 to Monday, March 9, 2020 the "Team GO Rocket global take-over" took place; the main features of the event were:
Due to COVID-19, the event was cancelled in Japan, Italy and South Korea – i.e., in light of the data available at the time, some of the then most heavily affected countries. Unfortunately, despite lockdown being now lifted (almost) everywhere worldwide, subsequent events having occurred normally in these countries, and Niantic telling playe... keep reading on reddit ➡

Guys don't care at all if a girl is close to their height or even taller than them. I dated a girl that was 3 inches taller than me once and all my friends loved it. The only people that cared were the girls, and they didnt even make fun of me. They all made fun of her. We broke up for other reasons, but height was not was not one of them. I have never seen a tall girl get made fun of by guys, nor have I seen a tall girl intimidate a guy with her hieght. I once met a girl that was 5'9 and 210 pounds of muscle, but I wasn't scared of her because of her height, I was scared of her because she could beat the shit out me(5'8 150ish for reference)
Edit: I said height was not twice
Edit2: my spelling and grammer were just dogshit
I would be grateful for any advice you have on the advantages and disadvantages of owning an electric car in NZ. A friend has suggested I have a look at buying one. One advantage I guess is that you can charge it up at home and are always ready to go.
I'm a new Civ player. Playing my fourth game ever now, on Warlord, as Brazil. But anyway, I am wondering what the pros and cons of playing as Venice are? It seems like some people think of it an easy win whereas others consider it a week Civ. To my understanding, you cannot found other cities, only expand upon Venice itself?
I will probably start my next game next week (on Warlord), so if anyone has interesting insight or experience playing as or against Venice, please share, thank you.
Edit: Thank you for the replies everyone! I think, I will just have to try Venice out for myself and see how I feel about it haha.
I’ve found out recently that my 5th great grandfather fought and died in the revolutionary war. Don’t get me wrong I’m very proud of this. I would really love to apply to the DAR, I guess I really just don’t know what that would entail being a member. I’ve looked on the website and done some research, but other than meetings and such I don’t really know what being a member means. Is it just a pride thing? If anyone has better information or first hand experience help me out that would be great!
My chest freezer has liters of 100 nicotine. I have four apocalypse bags filled with new DNA mods and RTAs. I make some amazing DiY NET tobaccos. I'm ready for anything our government decides to institute. But..... I miss vape mail. Enjoy
Now, before you shoot the messenger, call me a coward, yadayada, please realize that most people won't even read the boards. They'll just notice they get absolutely smashed with increasing frequency call it quitsies. The transformation to "many stacks" is already happening and it's only going to get worse as stacking is now the predominant strategy and if you don't stack you're just hurting your winrate and enjoyment. Blizzard already made it less transparant when there's stacks in the loading screen, so they are fully aware of this.
Forcing stacks makes solo players have to choose between an inferior experience and other games. Please fix, urgently.
Make Unranked solo-only, or make Ranked solo-only, or force stacks to match exclusively against stacks of the same size +-1, DO SOMETHING. Don't alienate the solo players from the game. We have nowhere to go now and the last thing HotS should be doing at this stage is discourage a huge number of casual players from playing the game.
I'm a low-elo (silver) support main, and have often come across the advice to just /mute or /muteall in games. I understand that this can help prevent tilt, but couldn't you also miss communication from your teammates? For example, they could be typing to "set up vision for drake" or something else that can't be communicated by pings. I'm genuinely curious, so what do you guys think is better? Preventing tilt or being able to have "efficient" communication with teammates? Are pings enough?Keep in mind that this is low-elo.
Sorry if this is a topic already posted here before, I wasn't able to find any information on it (specifically pros/cons of /mute). If it's already been discussed, let me know and I can delete this post.
I have great internet: fiber connection, open NAT, 250mb/s down, 100mb/s up, wired connection. I'm on PC. The first couple times, i was assuming it was a Bungie issue, but with this many disconnects in my games, i have to wonder if somethings wrong with my system at this point. Is there any way to tell, or to fix this, or to have it happen less? is there anything I can do, or am i stuck in a forced elo-hell because i cant get full games? If there is a better subreddit to post this, please let me know, im just at the end of my rope here.
My mom and I have opposing views on nuclear reactors. I want to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear reactors so i can understand her better and maybe even change my or her views on it or just understand her view with more detail. I am in favor of nuclear reactors and she is not.
Is investing a small amount of money every month regardless of market fluctuations a good idea in the long run(25+ years)?
Does the same DCA apply to precious metals like silver and gold?
This is more of a sanity check, but it seems like you should always opt to max out your Roth before putting any money in a regular brokerage account.
Here’s my reasoning:
Typically, one may avoid a traditional retirement account in case you need the money in the near future. But the Roth solves this since you can withdraw your CONTRIBUTIONS tax-free.
So you might as well allow those gains to grow tax-free while keeping the option open of taking your money out, versus just putting money into a brokerage account where you would be subject to tax.
This is also setting aside the question of IRA vs. Roth. In this scenario, it’s only the choice of Roth vs. taxable because I want the money to potentially be available before turning 59 1/2.
There was a discussion I had with someone that considered themselves a scientist, if anyone wants I have a screenshot of one of their messages => https://imgur.com/c3WLUlR

>And in such a situation, the non-heterosexual half would be evolutionary dead weight and that demographic would filter itself out after enough generations of not breeding at the same or higher rate than the heterosexual half.

>That's why gay people are such a small percentage of the population.

I. Need. To. Be. Prepared. All. The. Time. Because if I am not and I don’t have these type of foods at home, like I am out on salads, frozen veggies, lean meats/chickens, egg whites, sugar free jello, etc, then I start eating calorie dense foods in the same quantities as the high volume/low calorie foods and the calories can go up easily to calorie surplus even in the thousands. A couple weeks ago, a day before grocery shopping day I did not have most items at home, and when I got hungry I started to eat foods that were at home. Stuff my kids eat or what my wife eats. By the time I realized I was over my daily calorie requirement by for maintenance by about 4000 calories. Does any of you have similar experiences? That day I learnt that preparation is key. And I am Not referring to meal prepping just having high volume food items at home. Thought I share it.
In light of social-distancing necessities for the ongoing global pandemic, some in the US are now calling for more states to allow citizens to vote in elections by mailing in their ballots instead of going to a polling place, without requiring a valid excuse why they're unable to go to a polling place like absentee voting. What advantages does unconditional voting by mail bring, and at what cost?
I’ve heard of a million like artificial sweeteners in it are carcinogenic, it adds calories, slows metabolism etc etc - any of it true or any other to add to this list (that are verified)?
Fatherless boys are at a greater risk of alcohol and other forms of substance abuse
Fatherless boys often grow up lacking all masculinity and maturity
Fatherless boys have many development problems, in school and in the mind, often having adults still chew on their nails like little kids.
Fatherless boys will be worse off in life, having noone to properly understand their manhood
Fatherless boys make up a disproportionate amount of suicides, homelessness and criminals.
80% of all incarcerated males grew up fatherless iirc, and looking at school/mass shooters, they're all almost exclusively from single mother households.
They have so many human disadvantages to them despite being mechanical. They essentially can have parts replaced at will, and don't have to eat or anything yet can still die from asphyxiation. There's multiple things too like appearance, and they don't reproduce since they are just reconstructed so why do they have everything else that ties with that?
Echo Knight’s can attack from the location of their echo. If I am 15ft away from the target of my ranged attack but my echo is 5ft away/adjacent and I choose to have the attack come from the the echo, is that attack at disadvantage?
I would think no because “a ranged attack is more difficult when the foe is next to you” and the foe wouldn’t be next to me.
Apologies if this has been handled somewhere but I’ve been searching and can’t get a definitive answer.
Edit: “ranger” fixed to “ranged”
Just saw a back and forth in r/AskUK about racism in the UK and one commenter said the following-
>It very much is. If you're poc you'd know that because you'd have to go through it. But the UK just likes acting like it isn't an issue
I don't think racism is so bad in the UK though I do not deny that there is still institutionalised racism and legitimised forms of discrimination.
Do you think labels like 'people of colour', 'black and other ethnic minorities' are still fit for purpose? As an ethnic minority myself who has seen diversity programmes only seem to cater to black people and that the leaders of diversity initiatives (who are almost invariably black) completely ignore other ethnic minorities- just as in the acronym BAME, the rest of us are an afterthought. I think it's time we start focusing more accurately on those who are significantly disadvantaged in the UK and not on those that are represented and integrated across all of our society but continue to use the minorit... keep reading on reddit ➡
Lately I’ve been losing interest in commander because my only friend who plays has decided to put hundreds of dollars into his Edgar vampire deck. When we first started playing with it basic decks, that was when we had the most fun and a 50/50 win loss ratio. Now he almost always wins. I play a tuvasa enchantment deck from 2018 that I’ve already upgraded significantly but I can’t keep up with the amount he spends. Has anyone else experienced this?
I built this simple report, hope you find it useful
Updated : Using Google Map now
I was poking around in some stats this morning and found it funny that the Colts (1999) won the division more recently than the Bills (1995). Will that change this year? Will there even be a this year? Only time will tell!
So i am currently building a POST api for wordpress,
It has a great REST API but anything needing authentication is ridiculous for a normal user.
So i have simply made a plugin that lets you set a "password" string to be sent with the request.post data
Is this secure enough for sending data to the CMS or is there something else i should be implementing?
Any ideas would be great
Using povohat's mouse acceleration, I set it up so the fastest flick I reasonably do is 20 cm, and my default is 40 cm, with an exponential curve. This felt pretty good and after an hour I was used to it (like how you get used to a sensitivity change)
I was thinking of advantages Vs disadvantages and actually can't think of any long lasting disadvantages of this accel.
Advantages: Smooth tracking, Reactive tracking as a flick back to target is just as fast as high sensitivity, Precision at distance (irrelevant when ads is in game), When flicking, stopping is easier as the shake you can get if you haven't trained stopping power, is less notable on a lower sensitivity, Range of motion is barely affected, Large angle flicks are still very possible.
Disadvantages: Inconcistency? Not sure as I only played for 2 days, but this would seem logical for at least the first 50 hours on mouse accel.
Any more things to note would be super useful.
In a lot of species, females are burdened with pregnancy and child care whereas males are burdened with providing for women and children.
In these species, it is the female members who are socially dominant. They decide who mates and as a result they set the rules for the males of that species.
For example, male penguins are the ones who go out and and put themselves in danger so that the female penguins can be protected. They also go out and get presents for female penguins, something you find in humans as well.
Well imagine if one day all the male penguins got together and established a system to get all of these goods and resources for all the female penguins.
They would be "in charge" of that system, but it would exist for the benefit of female penguins. And if it didn't work, the female penguins would stop mating until all the male penguins got their "shit" together and fixed it.
So who really has power in that situation? Who is considered to be more valuable? And who is re... keep reading on reddit ➡
In particular, what's wrong with it as opposed to other ranked systems? I don't see a lot of people talking about it here, and I'm curious as to why.
The Schulze method is a simple, elegant method of counting votes that satisfies many desirable criteria. Perhaps most importantly, it satisfiest the MinMax and Smith criteria, and is O(n²) summable, unlike IRV, which is O(n!) summable (where n is the number of candidates). It sees a bit of use online, especially in software-related organizations, and the paper introducing it can be found here.
Haven't played in a few months and wondering if anything has changed in this regard.
As the title says, I'm wondering if/how it would be possible to set up an LLC and have what is currently my employer set up a work contract with the LLC. Essentially, I'm asking if I could "quit", and then set up a contract to do essentially the same work but through an LLC that I set up. Is this legal, and are there tax advantages?
So for some context, I’ve seen many ideas contradict each other’s. Stephanafro said it isn’t a disadvantage and that it is only one when you see it that way, while u/FluffyPancakes11 said they do put you at a disadvantage. Meanwhile, my friends (rather not tell) and former coach said that you can’t really do much with them because they’re such hard weapons to play. So which one do y’all agree with?
Would you support or oppose this?
Please explaiiin why
I'll keep it short. Im 25(transfer student) and can finish my b.s in mathematical economics and minor in computer science in 2-2.5 years. Or I can just go for the CS major straight and finish in 4 years-4.5 years. The goal is to work with data whether as an analyst, scientist, engineer, architect w.e doesn't matter. How much of a disadvantage am I at in terms of competitiveness majoring in mathematical econ and minoring in cs as opposed to being a straight cs major when it comes to this career field?
XBOX is being forced into cross play and we are constantly matching up with KB&M PC players.
The aim assist argument is on going and exhausting but this isn't the problem. The problem is that PS4 players are allowed to opt out of cross play and xbox is not. As more and more PS4 players turn off cross play, XBOX players are being flooded with PC players in Warzone lobbies.
And man we are getting LASERED.
This is making it really tough to continue to enjoy the game. I'm not sure what IW was thinking here but it is most likely around keeping Microsoft with Microsoft. IE keeping xbox players matched with PC players. I don't need to go into why this is a bad idea.
The hardcore xbox community is going to dwindle if this is not addressed soon. It is really exhausting knowing that every squad we go to fight will be a try hard sweat fest and will most likely be PC players. It needs to be addressed and it needs to be fixed.
I know there are many posts regarding this subject but w... keep reading on reddit ➡

no i am not under age i am 14
The reason hominids became bipedal is because it was more energy efficient and because it allowed hominids to run down prey. Does bigfoot hunt big game? But it wouldn't make sense because of his large amount of body hair, it would be inefficient for running because of the excess heat. Okay, so he may be a scavenger who finds deer carcass, bores into dead longs for grubs. Opinions?
Is there a much smaller market for clients?
I’m just curious to hear whether there are any serious downsides to deleting and recreating an OLD profile (Tinder, Bumble,...). Other than losing current matches/conversations, the 10 minutes required to upload pictures/get verified, fill in profile information and set preferences, what am I missing?
Similar to the AFC East stat with the Lions winning it for the last time in 1993 and the Bucs in 1999.
And that's without the disadvantage of having Brady win the division almost every year.
So cold water makes it harder for you to gain muscle. So im thinking if I could take a warm shower instead after working out.
Best disadvantage character as in who is the best at getting out of a bad situation like being off stage, above your opponent or getting comboed.
My guess is Yoshi because his crazy air speed allows him to compete with some characters run speed, allowing him to get away from being above the opponent fast. Plus he has his down B and down air to attack anyone below him easily. His super armor double jump allows him to escape combos and his recovery is very good and it can be hard to edge guard him.
For example, I play a C major like this:
G C E
Instead of the typical variation:
C E G
Because my music Teacher taught me this. And know I wonder if I get disadvantages of creating melodies for music producing (because the variation makes an difference in the sound of the chord)
I haven’t learnt all existing chords yet, so I could switch my style of playing.
Should I switch to the typical variation of chords? Does it matter?/Does it affect my songwriting?
I hope you can help me
This is my third question here in less than fifteen minutes, guess I'm feeling curious. Title is pretty self-explanatory; do you feel there are any significant disadvantages to having perfect pitch? I've found that I cannot listen to live pop songs because there will always be deviations from the original studio recordings, and transposed songs always leave me feeling uncomfortable, however I'm not sure if that's because I'm awkward to begin with, or it has something to do with perfect pitch.
