Disclaimer: Nothing in my house runs on gas, and I've never tried drugs. Been completely sober for both of these events.
About a week ago, I was putting my favorite cup in the sink. It's navy blue and doesn't have a ridge near the top like most plastic cups do. That's why I like it. I've had to search for it some days because it's the only one I use. I've even had to empty out the cabinet to find it. So I'm putting it in the sink, and I start to turn around to leave the room when I see the exact same cup in the drainer. Just sitting there upside down. I keep looking between the two cups. They're identical! With all the time I've spent looking for that cup, surely I would've come across a second one! My parents have both assured me we've always had two. I brushed it off as a beneficial glitch because hey, now I have two great cups.
But then today, I was sitting in the living room and heard a siren that hit 8 notes and then stopped. I know it was outside and far away, just like tornado sirens. I'm used to tornado sirens because I live in Arkansas and we have bad tornado seasons. This sounded just as loud as those, except a different siren that I'd never heard before.
Obviously, I freaked out. It's January 20th in the United States. Of any day to attack, this might be the most likely. But my dad said that we have weekly siren tests and have since before I was born. That's 1,040 sirens I just magically didn't hear? No. There's no way I just never heard it. I looked on the Entergy site. They've been doing these weekly tests for decades. There is no way I didn't hear it before. No fucking way.
I guess I'm lucky I haven't found any other major changes, but I'm still shaken up.
UPDATE
EDIT: Apparently someone else on here was in the area and heard the exact same siren I did. It wasn't the same as a tornado siren and only lasted a few seconds! It was super bizarre. Adding this because I was a little worried I'd imagined the siren lol.
Every time I come across older photos and videos I am so surprised that Jimin was ever cast and styled as a hyper masculine bad boy in the group. I know the group as a whole has really gone through a style evolution but Jimin especially feels like he has really come into his own with his transformation and, even more so, he seems very comfortable in his own skin with his current styling. From jet black hair to natural blonde, from muscle shirts to elegant androgyny, he has really experimented and embraced what works for him and I love to see it. More so, I love that his style seems to really have no limits. He wears what he feels good in, regardless of what sort of style it would be considered. This sometimes even includes womenβs clothing if it looks good/fits with the style heβs going for and, as an idol with a huge platform, thatβs important.
And as a performer, I feel like he has really embraced his many sides as he has grown and matured. I know we talk a lot about the membersβ duality but I feel like it goes beyond that for Jimin, like duality doesnβt do enough to encompass how dynamic of a performer he is. Thereβs his βplayful, Iβm having a lot of funβ side, his sexy and in control side (I see you, Filter), his serious performance side (particularly when elements of his formal dance training are at work), his βIβm experiencing a lot of emotions and Iβm going to let myself feel them right nowβ side, etc. Out of all of the members, I feel like he is one of the most consistent but unexpected performers and it makes him so exciting to watch.
Anyway, all this to say: Jimin, you nice, keep going!
What are your thoughts on Jiminβs evolution visually and as a performer? And for those of you who have been around since the beginning, could you have anticipated this type of glow up from him?
Edit: um, whoa, thank you for this response and for all of the awards! I am loving all of this Jimin love - itβs clear heβs really moved a lot of us significantly. Brb heading down the Jimin performance rabbit hole on YouTube
As a teenager, I lived in a dead-end neighborhood, a mile into an expansive state forest in a rural CT town with a lot of history and a supposedly haunted graveyard.
This town had a heavy energy and I had plenty of spooky little "glitch" experiences while living there (for instance, seeing movements in my peripheral vision); but the one big glitch which I remember so vividly all this time later, happened on a cloudy, gray November afternoon when I decided to go on one of my many woods adventures. Usually I would do these excursions with neighborhood friends, but this day, I was alone.
I started out from my backyard and went straight into the woods to explore a section I was less familiar with. As I wandered deeper, the day became grayer and gloomier. The trees were bare or had a few crispy brown leaves barely clinging to their branches, and the air was cool - a typical New England November day in the woods. It was nearing dusk, but I pressed on, wanting to see how far I could get. Suddenly, I found myself stepping out of the gray, wintry woods onto an old rutted dirt road with worn wheel tracks and humps of green grass. No longer cold and gray, it was sunny, the sky was clear and blue, and the trees were full of green leaves all along the trail. There was a gentle, warm breeze - it smelled like summer.
I stopped, startled at the abrupt change, feeling as if I had just entered another world. It was so pleasant and inviting. I wasn't scared, it was so beautiful and peaceful. I felt this overwhelming urge to walk down the path and see where it would take me. ... But noting the time, and knowing it was cold and dusky mere seconds before I stepped into this inexplicable sunshine, I decided I didn't have the time to explore this lush, tempting road; especially since doing so would change my direction and I was concerned about getting disoriented and not being able to find my way home in (what should have been) the rapidly darkening evening. Instead, I decided to come back the next day with a friend. I turned around and stepped back off the trail into the chilly November gloom, and headed home via the same straight line I had plotted.
I couldnβt stop thinking about that place. It was so surreal and peaceful. It had no business being that green and sunny. The next day I recruited a friend, determined to show her, but we couldn't find the trail. I never found it again, even though I remembered exactly how I got there and tried to find it several times after.
... keep reading on reddit β‘Sounds like a bug to me. If you have an expensive deferred item that you're trying to get, don't farm Rituals in Colonnade for now. Better yet, just don't do Rituals with Colonnade Gravicius.
EDIT: I'm getting multiple users telling me they've encountered similar issues with Hydra / Crimson Temple boss. Sounds like Ritual currently just doesn't interact well with bosses that teleport.
Some examples to help clarify: Beach House - Space Song, Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan, Alice In Chains - Whale And Wasp, RHCP - Scar Tissue, Nirvana - Something In The Way, The Beatles - I'm Only Sleeping, The Beatles - Across The Universe, Slowdive - Summer Daze, Neroche - Earth Druid, Tame Impala - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, Led Zeppelin - No Quarter, Pink Floyd - Any Colour You Like, Mogwai - Take Me Somewhere Nice
Preferably rock-based songs will do, but recommend me anything in that vein, as I want to explore a bit out of my comfort zone. Thank you to all the people that recommended :--)
Edit: wow, holy crap. That's a lot of songs. Can't reply to all of the messages, I wish you all good day and thanks again for the recommendations
