I’ve been working in the video game industry for over 25 years, with detours into film, television, animation and coaching/organizational psychology. I believe that video games are art, profoundly influencing our culture, relationships, learning, creativity and social organization in ways we can barely conceive today. I recently joined Visual Concepts and 2K Games as Executive Producer of the WWE2K Sim franchise. The past three months have been a deep dive into professional wrestling games, the WWE2K franchise, WWE history, and the creative and passionate community of players with strong opinions about the direction of the franchise. Ask me anything!

Look I love me a 'Carol Baskins husband' meme as much as the next person, but it absolutely /shits/ me that she seems to be getting more hate then 'creepy sex cult leader's Doc Antler or the dude who LITERALLY scams people by dressing like a 14 year olds idea of 'gangsta'.
Like even her tiger rescue is MILES better then any of the lads as she doesn't breed them, or underpay staff (they're volunteers who work a few hours a week) or literally incinerates them when they aren't 'petting size' anymore.
Yeah she's awful in a lot of ways (soz step-kids) but she's someone who clawed her way up from a conservative childhood, a brutal rape, an abusive marriage and has somehow made her way into what appears to be a loving relationship doing a job she loves the hell out of. She's literally a real-world protagonist of one of /those/ types of stories eye-roll
Okay I'm done ranting.
Edit: Alright, maybe I didn't make this clear enough: I'm not absolving Carole of her misdeeds. She's awful.... keep reading on reddit ➡
For the past 15 years, I have been working in tech in Toronto, and have moved companies 3 times in that time period. Starting in 2016, I was brought on to manage a software development division at a mid-sized Canadian company. My department currently has 216 employees, ranging from software developers to devops to database administrators. If you live in or have visited Canada, I can more or less guarantee that you have used or worked with a product my team has built.
Shortly after I joined my current company, I fought for, and won, the ability for any of my staff to work from home indefinitely. I had worked remotely for 2 years at my previous job and very much enjoyed it, and I felt that it was something that technology-minded folks appreciate. Anyone choosing to take this option was given a work laptop, VPN access and any support they needed getting set up at home - we also gave a stipend to cover increased electricity, internet and phone usage. Additionally, work start and end... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hi, we’re the founders of From Seed To Spoon! We started converting our backyard from an urban lawn into a food farm in 2015 and now you can do the same using our free iOS & Android mobile app!
We started building our app in 2017 and now it's the top search result for "gardening" on both iOS and Android with over 200,000 downloads! Dale & Carrie Spoonemore started From Seed to Spoon to teach people how to grow their own food. They started learning how to code to build the app, and Justin Williams and Patrick Hartley joined the team to build Garden+, our new ultimate gardening tracking solution!
Growing your own food doesn’t have to be difficult and we’re here to show how you can grow your own organic produce economically, efficiently, and sustainably!

TL;DR: This is not a company trying to steal user data, but a warning/argument that Vanguard is dangerous to users due both to irresponsible and overly-aggressive use of system control Vanguard leverages and several indications the Vanguard team does not understand how vulnerable they are asking a user to be nor do they respect it.
Edit: seems the thread is being lost by some responders here. I am not trying to convince Riot to change. I’m trying to get the dangers of using Vanguard in its current across to people that may not understand. I see the typical post of “lol, oh silly vanguard turning off my fans” and worry about how lightly this is taken.
If even a small number of these alleged cases regarding boot issues and silent disables is true, then Vanguard is monitoring players' systems prior to VALORANT booting. I found the initial claim suspicious enough already, but if any claims made are found true about vanguard blocking things at boot or mobo software then R... keep reading on reddit ➡
After seeing Maul's entire journey in the series and how he was saved from being a simple sith with a cool lightsaber to a complex character with a grey morality that everyone loves I wish that Dooku had had the same love in his development. In Clone Wars he barely has any changes in his personality and, in fact, we hardly see any ambiguity in his actions. We as fans know that he hates the corruption of the Jedi and the Republic, and how, using the Separatists and Palpatine, he wants to inflict a necessary change to the Galaxy. His political ideology, his subtlety, is something that is lost in the series in my opinion. And since Dooku is my favorite character it hurts a little how it has been treated over time.
What do you guys think? Am I a fool for wanting more for an interesting character, or is general consensus that Dooku wasn't that interesting and he fulfilled his role as a character?
The past couple of seasons, character development and updates on dangling plot threads have been happening in the Eververse, of all places. Like, I actually log in on Tuesday to check the store for story developments. (Ha!)
During The Dawning, a ship gave us an update on what Uldren's new life as a Guardian is like. Last week, we learned that Hawthorne confronted Zavala about competing in the Guardian Games from a ship. This week
an overgrown sparrow another ship tells us at she's joined team Titan and clearing Lost Sectors... with a sniper rifle? Maybe she just wanted to spend time with her crush.
Anyway, these stories exist in the store for a three-week event, or maybe even a season, and then disappear. One can't even view them in Collections. Unless one purchases them, that is. It's so ephemeral and cyni... keep reading on reddit ➡
I would like to know what he thought about war planes and about passengers travelling by air across the world. I haven't found any record of an interview with him to find out what he thought about the significant developments of aircraft and flight.
Like, I want to cry. She called and apologized that she didnt run with our proposal for an anti bias/social justice program when we presented it last year, but she now understood that this is "not going away" and that our teachers need the tools to navigate critical conversations about race and current events. We are on online school, and she wants us to create an ongoing PD series that will be mandatory for our teachers.
We will be using a lot of Teaching Tolerance materials and local community members' writing, but if anyone has any activities or resources for anti racism professional development that worked for you, please share!
SUMMARY: Content "Remove laserturret"
Solar powered laser turrets are absurd.
Ok. There is thing, called game design. I know interaction of different game mechanics is complicated things that takes a lot of understanding. There is analysis required. It is especially true for roguelikes since roguelikes mainly about game mechanics.
But why changes are proposed like that? "Absurd"? Where is reasoning? Where is analysis? Where is explanation of that getting improved? Is it against design document? Or what happened?
It is not the first case I've seeing this. And from personal experience I know that 100% it is getting merged.
How do we ended up like that? Seriously.

Hey all - my name is Chris, I've been a web developer for about seven years. Like many others' progressions, I started out fiddling with web development videos online, continuing to plug in work until I was able to land my first internship in 2014. Since then, I've been developing web apps professionally, starting out as a full-time employee at an agency, then branching off on my own to do independent agency work.
This video, although only covering HTML, takes the most useful parts of what I've learned throughout my seven years as a web developer. I don't go into extreme detail trying to cover every HTML tag out there, but rather, only the tags you'll be using a lot, and how to use them in a smart, organized manner that prepares you for success as you progress towards CSS.
I really hope this helps anyone new out there, trying to find a teacher or mentor that has experienced the hardships of le... keep reading on reddit ➡
What is it with Hunt and his lack of development? He has made nearly the same mistakes in every single relationship he’s had. All he is at this point is a character for a female character to marry, and then some problem arises and they have a long divorce. The only development he had was how different he was in the first few episodes vs later on, and his battle with PTSD (which is super admirable and awesome! But ended up being a small plot line considering how long he’s been in the show). But as a character and the choices he makes, he’s been so stagnant. If I hear another thing about abortion coming out of his freaking mouth, I’ll scream.
So I work in cloud engineering and architecture and I decided to pick up web development for some side projects. I had done a course on it at university but that was a while ago. In my head here’s how I thought it would go.
Naturally, I decided to start with the front end, got my IDE set up and began coding . Boy I was so wrong, I couldn’t even finish the navigation bar without getting absolutely frustrated. Nothing seems to do as it’s told, drop downs work sometimes and half the time it doesn’t. Then there’s stuff you have to do for different screen sizes. Let me not get started about css, change one attribute and the whole things messes up. Seems like I’ve forgotten most of what I learnt at uni because I’m sure it wasn’t this frustrating then.
Can someone point me to some resour... keep reading on reddit ➡
President Donald Trump said he plans to hold a press conference Wednesday to "discuss very important news from the FDA" about the Coronavirus.
He did not announce the time or any additional details in teasing the event on Twitter, though the White House coronavirus task force is expected to hold a press briefing at 11:30 a.m. ET. The president has participated in some of these briefings at the White House, dropping in to either make a statement or to take questions from reporters over the last week.
A link to watch live starting at 11:30 EDT can be found here.
For me, it's using the DI engine.
It's too bad because one hour of reading about it would fix everything, but a lot of people I've worked with just treat it as magic and make everything singleton or whatever sounds better.
I've seen even worse offenders, with static ServiceProvider where everything is defined on the root container and the application leaks after a few hours, but usually the container/server crash makes up for it and nobody cares.

Hello thanks for your time and effort! Looking for a book that gives me a huge book hangover cause I love the characters. Hope you can help!
This will be a somewhat lengthy read to add a lot of context. If you want just want to read the tweets, go here for the original tweet by Matsuno, and here for the translation by another twitter user.
Some context first: Yasumi Matsuno is the director and writer of Vagrant Story. The game has been extremely well received for its incredible production value, great plot and writing. It was basically dubbed as hardcore medieval Metal Gear Solid and stands as one of the absolute classic of the PS1.
A month ago, Matsuno wrote a questline for the MMO Final Fantasy XIV, this questline was revealed to use ideas he had for a Vagrant Story sequel that never panned out. Fan enthusiasm around the idea of knowing more pushed Matsuno to reveal the prologue of his story proposal for the sequel. Something he always professed wanting to make one day.

Sorry, crap phone, no link if someone could be so kind as to provide one to today's "AJC Atlanta News Now" story.
Less than two weeks before the February 23 shooting incident, the father and son had a confrontation with a young black man who had entered a neighborhood house under construction according to neighbor Diego Perez.
After the shooting Perez said he recognized Arbery as the man they confronted earlier.
The earlier February 11th encounter had been prompted by a motion sensor security camera video in the construction site that alerted the property owner who was some distance away, who then texted the video to Perez. Perez met with Travis McMichael who said he had just seen Arbery in the yard and confronted him. Travis said the man reached into his waistband indicating he had a gun, when Travis "got spooked" and left.
