Last Update: The moderators have been doing their best to manage to leaderboard situation going forwards, and I can say with confidence that the leaderboards are in good hands. The moderators have been receiving a lot of hate for this situation. Please stop, as it is undeserved.
I’m going to start by saying that posting here was a last resort. I feel this matter is best sorted out within the Super Mario Odyssey community, but after recent events, it is clear that having a reasonable discussion privately will not be sufficient.
On Feb 24th, The SMO Category Extension Mods on Speedrun.com deleted the most popular SMO Category Extension, Minimum Captures from the website.
Min Caps is a type of Low% run that minimizes the amount of captures (when Mario transforms into other things with cappy) in the game and is an incredible showcase of how broken SMO is, in a way completely unique to every other category.
They deleted the category after claiming that it was the result of a several m... keep reading on reddit ➡
I love seeing a comment piled with downvotes when they don’t delete it. It makes me respect them, even if what they originally said was what Reddit considers dumb. It embodies are refusal to comply with the status quo and societal norms. Badass. Everytime I see it I upvote it.

Who would you exile from our plane forever if you had the ability to do so and why? What does your choice say about your local meta and/or the commander card pool in general?
I think that a lot of people are conscious of the growing number of "pure value engine" commanders that beat off by themselves on the value train without laying down any threats. I'm looking at you, Chulane, Yarok, Korvold, and Tatyova. I'm not sure if these decks just lend themselves to being absolutely annoying or if it's just the way they are being built, but I cannot stand any of these commanders.
I would absolutely delete Chulane. I feel like Yarok is annoying when built a certain way, and I hate korvold because he totally invalidates lord windgrace as a lands commander. I love windgrace and would absolutely still play him if I didn't jam windgrace into a yidris lands deck, but korvold is just annoyingly better.
How many fucking news stories are there where the cops are involved in something sketchy and next thing you know there's eight different clips of them confiscating cell phones, knocking cameras out of peoples hands, pointing security cams at the wall, etc. etc. etc.
Cop screwed up? Wouldn't you know it all the body cams magically stopped working that day! Or the footage was "lost".
All of this shit should trigger automatic prosecutions with automatic jail time. Bodycam off? Jail. Break a camera? Jail. Order a bystander to delete a cell phone video? Jail.
Fuck these corrupt pieces of shit. This is the most straight forward, open and shut type bullshit. It's totally indefensible.
And I don't give a fuck what it is they decided they didn't want recorded. This isn't some, Trumpian, you-can't-charge-obstruction-without-a-crime bullshit. If they're on the job, interacting with the public, then that video is evidence of those interactions and they are accountable for them.
Dis.cool is a site that is scraping Discord servers for what emotes they have, what users are in them, and is consolidating that information onto their site, and if you request it to be removed they send you to this image and do not begin to remove any information about you. That image is where you get redirected to from their account/information removal page. I've never added this bot into my server, if they even have a bot, but they have all of our emotes, our user list, and refuse to remove any of it.
I'm contacting ico.org.uk tomorrow and I have sent Discord an email about this issue.

Kargoz is running a Hardcore levelling comp this coming Saturday the 29th, open to all.
Hardcore mode is one life, if you die you must restart. Both factions, all classes and builds allowed. You have 12 hours to get to as high a level as you can without dying.
There is also the 'normal' Hardcore mode (no time limit) to get to 60, and the community is very active! Get out of Ironforge or Orgrimmar and try something new.
For more information on both the comp and general Hardcore please join the discord https://discord.gg/rAgchnJ
Several people already tried the "Ironman" leveling challenge (leveling all the way 1-60 but deleting character on first death, getting no help from other players, no AH, recording 100% of the process, etc) in Classic, but apparently nobody succeded so far. And this guy who was leveling a Warrior this way and was pretty much going to get World First just died at level 59 yesterday. Thought it was worth sharing ... feelsbadman.
The CCPA is the California Consumer Privacy Act. Like the European GDPR that came before it, it guarantees certain individuals rights around the use and sale of their data. More specifically, California residents can force companies to produce any data they have on them, and delete it on request.
By law, these companies must follow through with deletion, and reach out to any 3rd parties to whom they sold the data, and have them delete it as well.
As an example, here's Vizio's website. You'll see that "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" is listed in the footer. This specific language is required by law.
If you don't live in California, you can still benefit from this law. It's too expensive and resource intensive to figure out where a person lives and see whether the law applies to them, so companies are adhering to most requests regardless. Companies are rightly assuming that more states will enact such laws, so it's not worth splitting ha... keep reading on reddit ➡
(Reposting because the mods deleted the original. People need to see this!)
I'm sorry, did the mods go bankrupt? Front page currently contains 4 robinhood screen shots of people with 2 and 3 digit accounts bragging about how they made huge returns. Please delete these trash posts and redirect to /r/babystreetbets or some other appropriate sub.
Since I now have enough karma to post here. To clear things up iv already posted this but forgot to put in some of the good stuff. I would edit it but that post ran its lifecycle and no one would see it so here’s a fresh post. Anyways cast time.

Not because I don't like Trump (even though I really don't care for him)
but because if you thought this site's echo chamber trump hate is bad, wait until America reaffirms its stance of him. This site will be an even bigger cesspool then it was before and it will honestly be impossible to ignore. I'm willing to bet somehow people will make political posts on /r/grilledcheese
Boss is forcing all employees to permanently delete their LinkedIn accounts. He’s threatening to terminate anyone who does not comply with this new policy. He’s adding it to the company handbook and to new hire offer letters. He’s offering a monetary bonus to anyone that voluntarily shows proof of account deletion.
He says he feels that employees that have these accounts are cheating on him. He recently lost an employee and blames LinkedIn.
What legal protections do employees that do not comply have? If terminated based on refusal, is there any legal recourse the employee can take?
This is in the US in a Right to Work state.
Microsoft is going to delete the works of thousands of contributors and lot many scripts that has helped us with many things. Owners are asked to migrate to GitHub - however, the useful scripts that aren't maintained goes into the black hole. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/teamblog/technet-gallery-retirement
Hi all, I posted this in a different sub-reddit and then someone suggested that it might fit in here, so here I am. First time poster on this sub.
(Requested: TL/DR at the bottom)
I run a company where we hire out wedding and event service providers with our main focus being photography and videography. Other services include DJs, drone pilots, hair and makeup artists etc. (not relevant at all).
So a few months back, I get an instant chat from a bride via our website. She informs me that they are coming down to South Africa in December and they need a wedding photographer and videographer; I send our packages to her and she says her fiance wants to call me. I say that's fine and I give her my number.
A few hours pass and I'd almost forgotten about them but my phone finally rings. The fiance, speaking in a very heavy German accent, starts sweet-talking me mentioning how people rave about our fantastic work and service. I'm calling BS on every word he says, but I'm also infamous for... keep reading on reddit ➡

I keep seeing posts that are quickly deleted and have been written by people who are in a bad place. I just want to say that this group is full of people who are going through or have been through terrible things with our parents. We understand how you feel. You can talk to us.
I’m going through the second draft of my novel and there has been scenes that need to be deleted. Should I keep them in a seperate document or delete them permanently? Does any other writer have this dilemma?
Some these people are just complete jackasses, so I get angry and respond. But then think-who wants to get in a conversation with a jackass? But writing a mean comment down makes me feel better!
