Currently in Coastal Highway and Iβm preparing to head out to Pleasant Valley, would deerskin boots or pants be more beneficial? Iβm playing on Stalker if that helps.
I've been wearing Goodyear welted shoes for the past 5-6 years and like many others have been a bit of a snob when it came to trying Blake-stiched shoes. But lately I've come to appreciate Cucinelli's quality and style and any chance I get to purchase their products (at a discounted price of course) I do not pass up.
My shoe collection consists mostly of Crockett & Jones, Church's, Santoni and Ferragamo (Tramezza line) but after purchasing my first Cucinelli shoes last year I cannot disregard how comfortable and high quality they feel and look.
This pair is made of a buttery soft and supple deerskin and comes with a combination rubber/leather soles. If you notice in one of the pictures you can also see a slightly raised bevelled waist. I have only worn them twice but all in all, I must say that Cucinelli dress shoes are super comfortable and there is something about the leather that screams quality.
I wear my usual size 9UK, 43 and they seem to be consistent with their shoe sizes given the fact that they do not have long lasts and all their shoes are mostly rounded at the toe.
Does anybody know who makes their shoes? In the past Tricker's and Ferragamo apparently used to make their shoes but I do not know who makes them anymore. I do not think they have a shoe department on-site. Having said that I have a couple of pairs of Henderson shoes and they look identical to most Cucinelli shoes and boots I've seen!
One strange thing about all my Cucinelli shoes is that unlike all the other British and Italian high end brands I own the leather and the shoes in general does not have the same heavenly leather scent to them but the quality of the leather seems to be better or at least at par with the other brands I mentioned above.
I will post another review after a year of wearing them again, but in the meantime let me know what you think? do you own any Cucinelli shoes?

... keep reading on reddit β‘I just watched a movie called Deerskin on HBO and it was fantastic. Not giving anything away but, it's a movie in a different language so you have to read subtitles. It's a totally unexpected weird movie in the comedy genre. I loved it. I would love to know of more movies that are like this at the level of weird and silly that this movie was. If you've seen Deerskin please reply to this post.
Iβm in stalker if it helps. I have enough for either but the 3rd deer hide is at Carter and Iβm at camp office so it would mean an extra day or so. Iβm 14 days into the world and o donβt yet have good pants or shoes really.
Heyo, i've been spending a day or two trying to find the blueprints to craft the wolfskin coat, deerskin pants and rabbitskin hat (Nowhere on the long dark wiki says where I can acquire the craft recipes for these) I found a hunting book which made me receive the deerskin boots blueprint but nothing else (the deerskin boots book/blueprint is in the hunters perch at unnamed pond in mystery lake for those who don't know) anyone know where i can find the books for the blueprint/craft recipes mentioned above?
Good hunting
I have 4 cured deer hides and about 9 guts, do I need a book? I'm in story
Thanks to /u/Emma488, I checked out this movie as I was super intrigued by its premise. It's definitely not like the French horror we're used to like Martyrs, L'interieur or Haute Tension. It's more like Man Bites Dog with its dark humour and premise...mixed with a bit of Brain Damage and well, a jacket...and you've got yourself one of the most unique movies in recent years. I loved it...these are the type of recommendations I look for when I use this subreddit.
Sick Style!
Did anyone else check this movie out? I remember seeing a trailer for it a while back in theaters and then never heard anything about it again. I just saw it on HBOMAX I believe it is also on HULU too, at least in the US.
It is a simple movie where a man gets a deerskin jacket, and later other pieces and starts making a movie with a simple goal of being the only person in the world with a jacket. If you are looking for a weird light horror movie with some comedy and an absurd premise you should give this a watch. It does not over stay itβs welcome with a very short runtime of about 75 minutes.
I could see some people not being a fan of the ending but I think it is rather fitting. If you have seen it I would love to hear your thoughts!
