Just because someone's popular and is good at acting doesn't mean they have any knowledge or skill in politics, logic, law, etc.
Feels like just because people like them, their opinions get given so much more weight. If anything they shouldn't have any weight at all considering how many are uneducated and live in upper-class bubbles separate from the real world.
Frankly whenever I see a news article about this actor/actress making a statement on an issue, I just roll my eyes.
I dated Paul on and off for about three years. We broke up amicably (we didn't have enough in common, just sex and physical attraction, proximity) and still text or send photos or joke around.
Paul is now with Jenni, and I love them together. They have so much in common, they literally look like they should be together, etc.
Also, if it helps, I'm married. Happily.
I was taking pictures (for my job) and posting them on Instagram of some new products we had in my shop, a clothing store. He commented on a specific sweater and said he'd love a sweater like that, and asked if I could send him details. It's a low production item, so I sent him a link and told him to act fast.
I guess it's what he asked from Jenni for Christmas, and she said to me she couldn't afford it. I felt so bad and decided I'd use my discount on the sweater and send it to Jenni so she could give it to him. I asked for her address and sent it out to her, adding a note saying it was nice to meet her and also if she wanted stuff from the shop to let me know and I'd use my discount for her too.
Well, she blew up in a bad way. She was so upset she called me all kinds of names, suggested I wasn't over him (again... I'm married), I'm trying to look better than her (objectively... she's way hotter than I am, she's a hot blonde with Serena Vanderwoodsen hair), etc. I felt awful and apologized for whatever it was I did, but she blocked me on her and his devices.
I was trying to do a nice thing. Did I fuck up? My husband thinks I was just trying to do something nice (he and my ex get along and send memes to each other), but a few friends have said I crossed boundaries and tried to look like an angel.
ETA: Thanks for the feedback, all. I'm glad I posted. I recognize I should have offered her the discounted price, but since she's living on unemployment wages, I thought she'd be embarrassed. A few notes: She followed me on Instagram and struck up the conversation, and when I asked for her address, I said I was sending out Christmas gifts, and she was happy to give it. The sweater was $60 down from $105, so not very much.
Also for those of you asking why I still talk to my ex or send gifts, I'm friendly with all but one of my exes, including the ones from way back in middle/high school. I don't do the whole toxic breakup never talk to you again thing.
Hi,
I have around 12 years of experience as a game developer mainly in indie games but also for bigger projects. While I do not work at CDPR I thought I could give some insight on why the project got released this way and why some "obviously commons" features are not present in the game.
You have to understand usually no one in a game company wants to release a bad game. Not the devs and 3D artists nor the execs. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and with the scale and complexity of a project like Cyberpunk even minor problem can easily stretch and impact a release.
Before going into details I want to also say big thanks to CDPR dev team because knowing the complexity of building such world the level of details is just staggering. Don't get me wrong, interactions are almost non existent but the scale and amount of objects in the world is mind blowing. From giant skyscrapers, down to individual item packages in stall and stores.
Usually during the creation of a game for the most part the game will be unplayable. From early demos and concepts to placeholders and experimental features nothing is working up until the end of the project (sometimes even days before a release. Creating features like an interactive barber shop is relatively easy (like almost any other features) the hard part is to make them work together in the big scale of the world.
To give you a concrete example based on a race game I was working on, we wanted a garage where the player could customize and change his/her cars instead of the boring menu. Making the garage itself took around 2β―days but then we had to check 5 in game locations where garages could be installed and of course redo some of the roads around to make sure you could park all your cars etc. This little feature took around 2 weeks just for that and then we also had to redo all the cars (50 in total) to add the inner engine part which took around 1 months to our 3D artists. In total it took around 2 months of 3D artists, game dev and testers to make sure the garage was working as expected in any location with any cars.
Most of the complains here are those type of features it seems ridiculous why we cannot have those. Now multiply by the amount of tiny features like this, which are "easy" to implement but can easily stretch over months to finalize.
What usually happens with "features" like this, one dev will do a proof of concept show it to management and for management

Fine, but right now the old stuff is disappearing and the gear I'm getting is 60 at best.
Getting the right roll you're after is hard enough. Especially when you rarely get any high stat roll armor.
I love the games, if executives decide to make crappy business decisions thatβs on them. I prefer Nintendo games over any other games in the industry, just because the people in charge are dumb or old, doesnβt mean I wonβt care about their newest games and wonβt support their products. I will buy their games as long as they interest me. The entire industry is filling up with subscriptions, micro transactions and poor work environments, so is supporting Nintendo any worse or different? it isnβt. I buy the games because I love the developers. That doesnβt mean I agree with everything they do.
I am seriously doing this, I used to live in the block of units, I rented the one directly beneath them, they were assholes to me, despite numerous attempts to be nice and get to know them I gave up, they were loud, would deliberately stomp around late at night, play loud music and have parties almost every weekend, they are young 20βs and have no manners or consideration for anyone else, their unit is the nicest in the whole block and they acted like they were better than everyone else.
Recently their unit went on the market and I have the money to buy it. So I am going to, I was looking elsewhere for a unit to invest in but when I saw this the temptation to buy the unit they are renting and kick them them fuck out is irresistible.
Revenge! Itβs going to be so beautiful.
EDIT: just got my first ever βkysβ DM.
To clarify, I am looking to buy a unit in this area regardless, the fact theirs is on the market at this time is a coincidence and a welcome one, the unit is a good investment with great rental returns and low overheads. So itβs worth buying for that reason alone.
These people I intend to remove are scum. In the two years I lived there I put up with countless sleepless nights, I once confronted them asking if they could please turn the music down as it was 1am, they told me to fuck off And slammed the door in my face, played Criss Cross βJumpβ at an even higher volume and proceeded to jump around the unit, they replayed and did this 5 times. They encouraged their guests to park in my allocated space, block access to my garage, urinate on my door, spit on my windows and key my car. Imo they deserve this.

Initial public offerings have been doing extremely well lately, bringing to mind the excesses of the tech bubble in the late 1990s.
Shares in Chinese toymaker Pop Mart International Ltd. jumped as much as 112 per cent in their debut Friday, after home-rental platform Airbnb Inc. closed 113 per cent above its IPO price in New York. JD Health International Inc. surged 56 per cent in its debut Tuesday while DoorDash Inc. soared 86 per cent in on Wednesday.

The FTSE Renaissance Global IPO Index, which tracks the performance of offerings worldwide, is up 82 per cent this year, compared with a 12 per cent gain for MSCIβs all-country equity index. Comparing the current period with the dot-com bubble is hard to do directly because the Renaissance IPO Index didnβt start until 2009, and a Bloomberg index that was around in the dot-com boom became defunct in 2017.
There are some pretty clear similarities between the Bloomberg index versus the S&P 500 in 1998-99 and the Renaissance gauge now, noted Cameron Crise, a macro strategist at Bloomberg. The performance after that in the late 1990s was even more dramatic. If IPOs were to follow the same pattern now, they would have a huge jump still to come -- before a pretty spectacular drop.
βThe action in these names is definitely a concern for us,β said Matt Maley, a strategist at Miller Tabak + Co., speaking about the U.S. IPOs.
βHowever, weβd also note that experience tells us that froth in the IPO market tends to be a βleading indicatorβ for an important top -- not an βimmediate indicatorβ of a top. In other words, yesterdayβs action in the IPO market probably tells us that weβll see a meaningful correction at some point over the next six to nine months, not necessarily over the next few days/weeks.β

Would you guys be mad because its not fallout 5 or be happy that they remade what some people call some of the best games in the series?
Nine dungeons, it took nine dungeons to see a drop. I caught myself fist pumping! I was genuinely excited to get this drop! The guys in Discord celebrated with me! I haven't felt that way about a loot drop in years, it was great, and I don't want that to go away.
On that note, I'm loving the current difficulty in M+. L-O-V-I-N-G-I-T! I love seeing people demand a 190 gear score to join their +2, and that group STILL fails to time the key. I LOVE watching an MDI team time a +6 with a 150-170 gear score! Aw, you can't brute force these MYTHIC dungeons anymore? Good!
I love these things, and I'm tired of pretending I don't.

He talked about this on Sanchovies' stream. (timestamp is 04:15:45.) I tried to clip it but twitch wasn't letting me and I was bored so here's what he said in text:
"I think AD Carries are actually really really good, but only for the highest highest mmrs and pro play. I think at that level, ADCs are actually really good. Like Jhin, Kai'sa, Samira until the nerf, Kog'maw, champions like that. I think they're really good. But for like Platinum, Diamond, Gold etc. they're miserable, they're super bad, because the games accelerate too quick. And when games accelerate too quick they feel really bad because tanks are too strong. Or like AP Assassins in accelerated game states. But then Mages are also in a really bad spot too. Their items all keep getting hit, and, I mean, some of them feel ok in accelerated game states, but in non accelerated (he changes his sentence) - So this is really weird, mages feel probably better than they actually are, because pre season and solo q in general. So you're getting to the mythics faster than you probably should, in most cases, so it doesn't actually show how weak the mages are with just receipe components, or how weak they are just on 1 item, because games are taking place where people have 1.5 or 2 items at 18 minutes. Which is completely unnatural. It's like a balancing nightmare right now. It's literally a balancing nightmare."
Sanchovies asks: "How is that different in high mmr? Games get accelerated in high mmr too. Like out of control."
"Right, but in high mmr, even when games get accelerated out of control the ad carries can actually play against an accelerated game, whereas low mmr ad carries aren't good enough to do that. They don't have the mechanics or the positioning or the awareness of what to do. And they're probably not good enough to get fed on their own, whereas a Challenger or Grandmaster ad carry can. But mages are, I think, being "hidden" by the nature of solo q, but I think they're actually really bad."
Sanch: "What about Viktor?"
"Viktor, I think, is a really good example of it. He's gated by CS, because of his passive. And he feels better than he is because of an item, but because he's not just getting the item, he's also getting extra items, that help mitigate the CS gating. Do you know I mean?" (Sanch says "Sure", but tbh I don't)
TL;DR: ADC is actually really good (best role), but in Grandmaster and Challenger. Diamond and below, ADC
