You can see the ship now, with some new dialogue, maybe this opens the hawkmoon mission
We know that Crow doesn't like hand cannons because he doesn't like the sound of them, which implies that a hand cannon killed him. Petra runs Vestian Dynasty, a sidearm, and he seems perfectly content to use sidearms. Even if we both shot, he'd only hear one, the first one, which means that we killed Uldren, not Petra.
With the violence on the Capitol today, multiple reports have come out about how he stayed in the House chamber until all the other congresspeople evacuated, then, he himself evacuated. He said the events of today reminded him of his deployments to Afghanistan.
Never been happier to have such a great person represent Colorado. Jason Crow, you da man!
Oh, I know, Zavala says the Dare doesn't count. He also said we shouldn't use stasis. Getting the theme? Besides, it's up to the hunters not them.
So why would hunters want some freshly rezzed New Light as their Vanguard? Because they're collectively losing their damn minds.
Make a shortlist of anyone who could be Hunter Vanguard. Anyone who even thinks they might be on that shortlist is either living in the wilds or in hiding in the city, trying to avoid being picked for what they all consider a shit job. Shiro-4? No one's heard from him lately. Marcus Ren? No one's heard from him lately. Efrideet? No one's heard from her lately. Ana Bray? Probably going Dark with her sister. Shin Malphur's pointedly in hiding except to give us a gun every now and then.
Seriously, read this part of the Tommy's Matchbook lore entry
> Aunor holstered the Minuet, made another visual sweep of the room. "Where is everyone? Hunters have been hard to find in the Tower. Bounties and strike assignments are piling up."
> Tommy cocked his shell. "Drifter must have the Praxics working overtime. Since Cayde died—"
> Ghost drew a long knife across the back of his armored fist. It sang coldly.
> "—every single Hunter worth their salt is either out on a mission to save the world or spending their time away from the City. To avoid the Vanguard Dare."
> Aunor looked from Ghost to Tommy and back again.
> "Listen," Tommy whispered, as Ghost sheathed his knife and stepped forward. He held out a long, white-bodied rifle, with a flat, disc-shaped drum instead of a standard magazine. "This is the most expensive thing we own. You can have it. Just please don't tell anyone we were here. And get someone in that Vanguard chair. The Hunters are losing their minds out there."
Would they have taken Uldren or Crow the day after Cayde died? Shit no. But they've been living like this for two years now. Meanwhile, Zavala and Ikora can barely find a Hunter that'll give them the time of day, meaning they're hurting for scout reports at a time when they need them most. Eris has gone Dark and Ana's thinking about it. It's become completely apparent that hunters need a Vanguard, and that no one is going to step up.
Suddenly, in walks Crow. Brand new Light, doesn't know how much he'd hate the job yet. Helpful to a fault. The people who hate him for Cayde-6's death have got to kind of respect him for the same, Cayde w... keep reading on reddit ➡
Just something I think is poetic
Was playing through the quest today and I can’t help but feel like he deserves his own exotic. Maybe bungie have plans for this later. But I really like the idea. Of him getting hawkmoon. People point out how hawkmoon is the opposite of the age of spades in terms of reloading. The 1st you want to use the whole mag. The 2nd reload when you 1st get a kill. I think it would be interesting as the crow/ Uldren killed Cayde the owner of the ace of spades. Plus they both are related through birds. The guy deserves that hand cannon.
Edit: I am aware of the fact he doesn't like hand cannon's sound I just thought it would be an interesting analogy
So i was reading through the lore of the false promises, in which the spider talks to the drifter.
S: "Fallen. I hold favor among Witches, and Kells, and whispering agents… of every shade and shape. My web is vast, and I have proven useful. Let the kings bloody each other. I'll direct the runoff.
D: "You talking about Guardians? Hate to break it to you, but they're a cheap date."
S: "Cheap is malleable. Cheap becomes… cheaper in desperation."
I think this is spider talking about the crow, a guardian in desperation does sound familliar.
Yeah." The Drifter pulls a small and ornate box of Awoken design from his rucksack. "Who you lookin' for with this anyway?"
The Spider steps toward Drifter, smothering his personal space. "Options, my dear rogue; tangled in the web." He takes the box with his dominant arms and plops two stuffed sacks of Ghost shells into the Drifter's hands with his others.
First they talk about a guardian in desperation and now spider says: "options, tangled in the web", while I didn't make the connection immediately, the lore book from this season, about the crow, is called..... a tangled web.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk
I once had a game in which I gave the players a gryphon egg, and they hatched it. The players LOVED that thing more than the game itself. I want to do this again for a new set of players I have.
However, this gryphon will be the unholy abomination of a crow/raccoon combination, inspired by some Tumblr post (written by rue-nightly) while back.
I need some ideas for mischief and shenanigans for this racrow gryphon to get into, at various stages of its development. I've raised a multitude of animals myself, but never anything feral.
Edit: Wow, thanks for the award! It's my first. I'm glad I could bring some enjoyment to all of you. The point of D&D is to have fun, after all!
