Killmail: Ladies and Gentlemen this is Killmail, Special Correspondent of New Eden Faux News-the fair and balanced news service. Today the 4th of June YC123, leaked documents have surfaced in which the great Dictator, His Benevolence Saltist Supreme 'Nihi1ist- The first',of Silent Federation, has declared war on the Content Coalition. The details are still being released, but many in the New Eden Political sphere is calling this the Dawn of the New Eden NullSec World war-I. Hours after that, a special ops contingent of Silent Federation Military assisted the Pantheon Coalition and GENFED forces in a military maneuver in undisclosed areas of Space in Wicked Creek and Insmother.
Although this was termed as a joint military exercise, there are unconfirmed reports of a skirmish between the coalition forces and that of the OG Empire. Although this doesn't affect imperial space, the prices of Nullsec materials might rise and Jita stock market has crashed after the news. Today we have with us two Special correspondents who are experts in Null Sec politics and warfare, Dr. Quafaholic Brew of the University of Caille and Prof. Rust'in Peace of Republic University.
First of all Dr. Brew, Why did Silent Federation declare war on OG Empire? It seems like bullying to me, TBF. Why did Silent Fed, who were Silent till now join the war in the South? What is all this 'Blue Donut' issue?
Dr. Quafaholic Brew: As many others think, the Silent Federation joining the Pantheon-Genfed coalition gives rise to an overwhelming force in New Eden Nullsphere termed as the 'Blue Donut, which might seem to tip the balance of power in the sector. But truth to be told, they are the underdogs here. The truth is that the whole of Null sphere has segregated in two big alliances. Although they have not named themselves yet, let us give them names so as to ease this discussion.
When you consider the active player base and speculation of public and private resources from legal mining ratting and illegal botting, The Dark Force Collective has far more fire power and a deeper war chest than that of the Freedom Alliance.
Rust'in Peace : May I interject here for a second. In my opinion, the Dark Force collective is a quasi- alliance at the best, and I don't think they have any long term interests in being an alliance. Al... keep reading on reddit ➡
My name is Jason Rosenbaum and I am a political reporter for St. Louis Public Radio. I am going to be answering your questions at noon on Monday May 17. I wanted to type this post to tell you a little about myself before diving into your queries.
I'm a suburban Chicago native and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. I've been a professional journalist primarily covering Missouri politics since 2006. I worked at the Columbia Daily Tribune, Missouri Lawyers Media and the (late great) St. Louis Beacon. I've been working for St. Louis Public Radio since 2013. You can read more of my work by clicking here.
As STLPR's political correspondent, I cover political and policy issues around the St. Louis region and throughout Missouri. I also cover Missouri's federal delegation, and occasionally dip my toe into Illinois politics . Some of the big storylines I've covered over my career include the protest movement that arose after Michael Brown's death in Ferguson, the rise and fall of Eric Greitens (and Steve Stenger), election administration issues that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic, and many, many more things.
In addition to producing stories for the radio and the web, I am also involved with St. Louis Public Radio's Politically Speaking podcast (subscribe to it here). That's where I work with the rest of St. Louis Public Radio's fabulous politics team to break down issues and interview key newsmakers.
Even though I am not from Missouri originally, my family has lived in either the St. Louis or Kansas City since the early 1900s. If you consider people that willingly move to Missouri to be Missourians (which is admittedly a controversial topic), my children are actually fifth generation Missourians. So I have a deep interest in the state's political... keep reading on reddit ➡
The theme of the evening was the recent release of Barrack Obama's long-form birth certificate, flown in from Hawaii after weeks of Trump stirring up accusations that the president was not a real citizen of the United States. The White House played off the event as very nonsensical, with Obama saying he had "better stuff to do." But with Trump attending the Correspondents' Dinner coming up, they took the opportunity to hit back. Video of the event and firsthand accounts depict an absolutely livid Trump following that portion of the evening.
Was it ultimately a mistake (from his perspective) for Obama to indulge himself the future 45th President's expense? Would Trump's aspirations for office have remained bluster if he hadn't been provoked?
Hi Reddit, Jonathan Karl here today to talk about my bestselling book, [FRONT ROW AT THE TRUMP SHOW] (https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/611343/front-row-at-the-trump-show-by-jonathan-karl/), out now in paperback, including a new Afterword with shocking new reporting on the heartbreaking events of 2020. I have reported from the White House during the administrations of four presidents and thirteen press secretaries and covered every major beat in Washington, including Capitol Hill, the Pentagon, and the State Department, and I have known Donald Trump for more than 25 years. My book, which has been hailed by Bill Press as a “must read” and as “a book historians will relish” by Peggy Noonan at WSJ, delivers new reporting, surprising insights, and behind-the-scenes moments that defined Trump’s presidency. Starting at 1 pm ET, Ask Me Anything!
EDIT: Thanks for your questions! This AMA is now complete.
Get in there and throw Moorcroft some votes...
So I totally forgot to take a screenshot of it when it actually happened BUT I'M FINALLY A GODD__N CORRESPONDANT WITH MY OWN LAB IN THE UNIVERSITY.
This took me MONTHS of grinding. MONTHS. It doesn't help that 'autistic brain go brrr' so I'd get distracted in the middle of things and then lose a point of notability from my making waves dropping too low at the start of the week Dx
ANYWAY I was just very happy and I know like no-one who plays Fallen London so -jazzhands-
I think I picked the right flair. -cough-
