I’m fluent in Spanish and I understand some of the first verse and he talks about how he likes to rape people and light them on fire. He also talks about like contracting/ or spreading sexual diseases. I’d like a better translation tho, thank you. Also I think the second verse is in Swedish, could be Norwegian or something but the artist is Swedish so I assume it’s that.

Ciao, musical amateurs, instrument players, and people with awful, no-good musical taste!

What a great musical adventure it was! When choosing this theme based on its immense popularity a few years ago, we expected it to fair pretty well this time around too. However, we didn't expect to absolutely drown in sound. With an unprecedented 95 entries, this contest more than doubled the previous record for most entries held by the Cinematic Arts contest at 42 entries. It was an exceptionally hard time for our reviewers to pick out the funkiest grooves, the nastiest riffs, the catchiest hooks and the tightest drumbreaks. But after days of thorough listening and genre whiplash, here we are presenting our albums of the year.

The winners of this month's contest, Painting With More Rhythm are:

• The first place with 9.40 points goes to /u/amiral_zheng and her piece Misplaced in Time. She is therefore awarded with a Golden Beret and permanent golden medal! Her piece will decorate the sidebar of the subreddit until next contest, and she can crosspost her winning artwork to r/polandball. She has also been bestowed the title of Fochloc and an added golden paintbrush to her flair so she can show off in front of her artist friends.

• With 9.20 points, second place goes to /u/paulionm and their piece St. Helena - When Will I Finally Get My Long-Awaited Peace And Quiet?. He is therefore awarded with a Silver Beret and permanent silver medal!

• Finally, with 9.17 points, the third place goes to /u/DinoTzarr and their piece Walestorm - No Clay But the Sea. They are therefore awarded with a Bronze Beret and permanent bronze medal!

Over the month of December I posted two songs per day in the Daily Discussion threads (one single and one album track (mostly)) that I felt went unnoticed by most people but would potentially be enjoyed, and this is a compilation of those write-ups.

There’s a definite pop focus but I picked these tracks with an ear for diversity of sound/artistry so there’s quite a few different things going on here and some picks that might make you roll your eyes, but I think there’s something for everyone!

This an excellent example of using music to further storytelling: it begins with this almost old-western sounding piano line that slowly climbs as Chappell describes her small-town dreams, which are abruptly cut off by sparse, pulsing synths as she describes her apprehensions, only for the thrilling full arrangement to kick in once she overcomes her fears during the chorus. And all of this slaps, of course, the production on this track is fantastic and there’s even two triumphant electric guitar solos!

Ruth B.’s first foray into r&b the song is strikingly minimalist, it’s mostly just a drum beat with some sparse piano chords and Ruth’s ghostly voice lilting gently. It’s a total vibe that fits the melancholy air she’s going for and helps put the focus on the melody, which is packed with unassuming hooks and a lot of simple but memorable lines.

On the off-chance that any of you are into dudes you might relate to this track, which is a sun kissed synthpop ode to boy craziness. It’s a short song (only about two and a half minutes long) but it does exactly what it sets out to do, which is provide a nice little jolt of gayness to your day. The synth pads and sleepy melody are easy on the ears, Bronze brings a bit of steaminess to the track with his coy delivery, and if you can hold back from shouting out “BOYS!” with the chorus then you’re a stronger person than I am.

Hi all,

I don’t care if you knew who he was or if you like his music or not, just thought it was worth mentioning that DOOM’s final project was a song by The Chocolate Conquistadors and was made specifically for the Cayo Perico heist update. In fact, given that he apparently died at the end of October, it was released after his death whilst no one knew he had died.

If you’d like to hear it you’ll hear it on Worldwide FM in game and another song of his is on Flylo too. Just wanted to let you all know.

Looking back, Unexpected Guests could've been a multiple-volume series. DOOM was prolific as a featured artist, consistently giving others quality verses that could've been used for his own albums (Despite the lyric: "I sell them bums a scrap verse that's so-so nice / Ya get what ya pays for, raps for the low-low price"). My VILLAIN GUEST APPEARANCES fan project began as an EP called LOOSIES, and I gradually kept adding songs until it snowballed into eighty tracks. I'm guessing there's about ten or eleven songs that I'm missing, and I invite the /r/mfdoom community to help contribute to completing this project. Think of this compilation as an open document that anyone can edit. The goal is for this to be an extension of the subreddit's discography guide (a resource much better than Wikipedia's page), and hopefully more people will hear some of DOOM's lesser-known gems.

Files, artwork and tracks have all been tagged manually. Please share with other fans, on file-sharing sites, whatever. Just enjoy and celebrate his genius.

65. 1957 - Netherlands - "Net als toen" by Corry Brokken (winner of 1957).

The winning entry of the very second Eurovision contest. The first couple years were pretty dull, to be honest, but this seems like a logical winner, even if I'm not sure what was the standard of quality at the time. The violin part is sort of nice, but that's the most I can say about this little lullaby. Score: 4/10

64. 1956 - Germany - "So geht das jede Nacht" by Freddy Quinn (placement unknown).

I'm almost ready to call anyone who says "50s Eurovision had great songs" a liar. At least in the first two years it's filled with boring songs, and even knowing the titles for at least 10 years and going through every song every once in a while, I still struggle to hum the melody of about half of these songs from memory. This song, at the very least, is fast paced and you can actually say that this is the only song of its kind. I respect this, but I don't necessarily love this. Score: 4/10

63. 1960 - United Kingdom - "Looking High High High" by Bryan Johnson (2nd place).

A memorable tune in a largely unmemorable contest. UK were the saviour in the 60s Eurovision, usually sending a song that's easy to sing along to, and this one has some little charm to it. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be done with rants about the boring years for a while. Score: 5/10

62. 1962 - Spain - "Llamame" by Victor Balaguer (nul points).

While this song has a nice tune, and some Spanish charm, it registers as "just ok" for me and is just the best song in a very poor year. Still - pretty shocking that this song wasn't good enough for at least some points. Score: 5/10

61. 1964 - Luxembourg - "Des que le printemps revient" by Hugues Aufray (4th place).

One thing I like to look for in Eurovision songs is some cultural signatures. And call me cray-cray, but I kind of hear a little bit of Johnny Cash, a little bit of US country ballads, and I get the picture of a guy sitting in saloon, playing this guitar, drinking sasparilla in the breaks, and a bar fight is abo

First thoughts: It's aight. I see why she got in places. My biggest negative towards the whole thing was actually how calculated and polished the piece was. Yes, it's a wacky essay about Costco. But to a trained eye, it's the work of a professional writer expertly crafting a work that will make a student come off well. One of the greatest magic tricks we as consultants play is making it seem like we were never there at all. The much rougher version of this type of essay is the essay I can tell a parent wrote. Those tend to be calculated as hell but never polished and usually really bad. This is a much higher level of touch-up.

Or maybe it wasn't! I don't know; perhaps she's just both extraordinarily talented and knows how to professionally craft college work. And hey, she got in. Maybe I should take this as a bit of advice for myself.

Because of that, I'm less interested in giving this piece a grade (8.5. Needs more believable substance in the middle. See notes.) and more diving into what kind of thought process went into making the piece in the first place. I also start doing that editor thing halfway through where I say an essay is good only to then tear it to shreds line by line. Sorry. The doctor says it's incurable.

Take this as an analysis of what I think goes into a top-tier college essay. As well as the type of feedback and advice I tend to give when doing my editing. Spoiler: It's a lot more about strategy than talent.

Inspired by this post, I have decided to make a table of the Vietnamese words, phrases and such used for units, techs and buildings when the game language is set to Vietnamese. I like to believe this is an unexplored topic on here, but I will give a preemptive apology here if someone has already written a post about it

At first I thought I could cram in everything in one post, then I look back and realise how long I have already gone with just the units 11. So this one will be just that: all the units on the tech tree (so no Xolotl Warriors or Dismounted Konniks... for now)

New Sounds of Japan

Hey Moonhorse. I love your channel. I like the way you tell stories, and I’d like for you to tell mine if you want to. It’s about my journey out of the kneckbeard mindset. Honestly, I could write a whole book about this that would bury Scott Pilgrim for eternity, but I’ll give you the short version. It starts kind of light, but I’m gonna get pretty deep with it, so I might pour a drink if I were you.

At the time, I was your typical internet role playing, cargo shorts wearing, its-not-cartoons-its-anime nice guy. I liked beer, cigarettes, Chinese food, hentai, and not much else. I didn’t have a personality beyond the media I consumed and a festering bog of depression and anxiety. I had no idea how to dress or groom myself and I brushed my teeth little enough to make my dear uncle Moonhorse gag. One of my favorite t-shirts was from Walmart and featured a wolf howling at a full moon. It was pretty bad.

I met my best friend when I was 20. She showed up at a mutual friend’s 420 party with a rich white kid on a $4,000 monthly allowance. The type that drives through the suburbs bumping Gucci Mane on the way to the neo-confederate manufacturing center otherwise known as “private Christian College in the South”. He was playing metal this time, which I later learned was a song she was showing him. This was Jax, at the time known by many as The Jackal. She had pixie cut pink hair and a goth ravergirl outfit that could turn a saint into a pagan. You’d think I would’ve been stricken, but I was such an edgelord that my brain said “player two has entered the arena”. I immediately switched the conversation to what obscure black metal I was listening to, and she asked me if I’d ever heard Polkadot Cadaver. I talked about the wild parties and massive bonfires we had out in the country, she regaled us with a tale of going nuts in a warehouse while a dj laid down the law. We were toe to toe, evenly matched, stoned out of our minds and locked in the ancient duel of the edgy goth kid.

But then she busted out the big guns. A joke about eating babies. The fucking nuclear bomb of edgelord cringe.

Somehow, I managed a riposte and narrowly escaped with my head, “Do you eat yours with ketchup or mustard?”

And she chuckled and said, “Barbecue sauce!”

We shared a genuine laugh and our first joke. That was the spark of our friendship and my immense crush on her. I didn’t see her for a while besides on Facebook, but we met again at some asshole’s apartment. I’m not calling him an

I'm currently updating my playlist and I'm looking for recommandations.

I don't have "a" favorite artist and usually will only buy one or two songs that I really like from each artist/album. My playlist usually consist of about 150 songs I'm really into. I just shuffle my playlist and not skip any songs until it is over.

I was brought into music in the years 2005 and really enjoyed metalcore/emo such has Bullet for my Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold which I still listen to. I really enjoy when the song has a darkish feel but also has fast/hype beat

TLDR: looking for new songs. Like metal/emo/pop with upbeat.

I run my code in X code, visualStudio and other online C++ complier and they all show my code is right, but no matter how many times i have tried and tried and debugged, it always shows the following errors, and i can't move forward. Anyone can help with this debug?

¿What could be a Latino pantheon?

So to start, when i talk about a Latino pantheon, I’m not proposing an umbrella term for other pre-Hispanic religion that aren’t in the game (examples like Aztec ,Mapuche ,Guarani); that’s not the intend with this rather different pantheon.

If you are from a Latino country something that most countries have “mitos y leyendas” which means myths and legends in Spanish; but when talking about this “mitos y leyendas”, latinos usually don’t mean about myths from their indigenous ancestor; the creatures and entities that appear under this term are beings created from the syncretism between the various aboriginal beliefs, African slave beliefs and Catholicism, a lot of this creatures come specifically from post-colony times and are part of foundation myths of South Americans country, they could be compared to entities like the yokai from the Japanese, but the people who study a lot of this beings as cultural phenomenon of the Latino identity usually compared to other similar beliefs like Voodoo. A lot of this folk creatures do have big cultural impacts as national patrimony to some countries, and are still believed to exist in rural areas of those countries (a lot of them even have statues on their honor)

¿But using the term Latino can be generalizing?

This is point is where one interesting about this creatures comes into play; a lot of them are shared by multiples countries, yeah sometimes the story has little changes depending on the country, but they are still depicted in the same way. The best and most well-known example of this is La Llorona, it’s possible that you may have heard of her before; but something interesting of her as myth is that she is present all Latino America as part of common folks; for example in Mexico she is considered national patrimony, but in other countries La Llorona is very tied up to their identity as much to the Mexican, and not even that, both the story and the appearance of La Llorona are always very similar to each other, she is always represented as the ghostly figure of mother with skull as a head (a common motif on a lot of Latino legends), her lore always been is of the spirit of mother eternally looking for their child and her cries disturb people from villages. Philippine folk wisdom and medicine

In a race to develop COVID-19 vaccine, medical experts started to look into traditional wisdom and medicine to fight against the deadly virus.

Through crashing waves, the frigid steel prow of the HMS Innsmouth continued to plow through the churning desolation of the North Atlantic. Rocking and rolling, the ocean spat and boiled as if in a grand cauldron. White caps and endless foam, constant spray drenched many of the men wandering the deck, on constant lookout for their designated prey.

The HMS Innsmouth was in deadly pursuit. A German U-Boat had surfaced further south, sinking a commercial liner carrying ammunition and supplies to the besieged British Isles. Most destroyers in the North Atlantic existed solely to hunt down U-Boats, and curb the terror experienced by vessels unlucky enough to find themselves stranded and lost, away from their protective convoy. Such a duty did little to assuage the anxieties of the men themselves, who often thought of their ships as grim steel coffins, waiting for wolf packs of German submarines to surface and fire their torpedos in the dead of night.

Jamie stood on the deck, watching the waves rise and fall. The ocean undulated, hinting at a dark and cruel nature. He’d escaped Dunkirk to now be trapped in this new assignment, though he never kept his rifle far from his grasp. It was reassuring to hold. Ahead, he watched a low and fast approaching obstacle, a strange and mysterious thing to come on so suddenly and so late in the day. He shivered slightly at the oncoming wall of fog, impenetrable and thick. It stretched, boundless, to either horizon. Jamie’s friend, Douglas, muttered something vaguely Scottish. Probably some kind of curse, or a prayer. It was difficult to tell with men like him.

The vessel relentlessly sliced through the sea, the wind picking up and beginning to whistle and roar. Not a storm, but something else, something that sent many a superstitious crew to turn around and race in the other direction. Not the Royal Navy, apparently. They played a game of cat and mouse where the mouse would dive into the depths, or turn around and attack in a surprise maneuver. Either way, Jamie hated it. He hated the sea, the smell, the salt, the waves, the inability to ever remain dry. The cold that gnawed at his bones, the weariness and pervasive boredom spiced with an incessant terror.

My experience with the beta, with some actual data, if anybody is interested:

• Got handed Store version. I don't have the 4k graphic set.

• My computer: i5-3570 3.40 GHz quad-core, 8GB RAM, playing off normal HDD, system on SSD, GPU AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB (should be similar to Nvidia 1060), 1920x1200 resolution, 60Hz display.

• Streaming with OBS, 720p, 30 FPS, 2000 kb/s, veryfast preset, Genette's optimisation code (for those who don't know, simply custom coding improving performance).

For detailed look you can check out the stream (links in section titles), want to give some summary/description here, because it's many hours. Still a longer text, so if you're interested in something more than "this runs fine" or "this runs bad." Absolutely do look for other sources of opinions, this is my personal account with the game, so obviously, others will have different experience, it's all over.

Tried installing on Thursday, but couldn't download because the Store page wasn't working (Insider part went fine) - probably some temporary issue, but to put the whole story. Started working only later, things fine with install. First launching all right, just signing into Xbox multiplayer bugged and had to restart to properly get the sign-in window and permission prompt, was fine after.

I started with OBS recording for the non-stream test to potentially help the game better determine settings, it gave me Medium graphics settings, which means almost everything turned off. Resolution is tied to desktop, so for example cannot do 1080, even in windowed mode, which gives me biggest size 1366x768 - it's almost as if the game is trying to tell me I shouldn't even play at 1920x*, or not sure what's up with the options. Game benchmark test (needed to play ranked games, so basically game deciding if you have potato performance or not - threshold is 1000), already on stream, succeeded with 1037.4. I left the settings as were defaulted, as I first like to playtest games with what the designers want me to experience.

Went into MP, not too many games, actually literally just a handful, even for spectating, which seemed weird, it was at about midnight GMT on Friday, so was expecting more, especially since others were streaming, and not only the gated bigger streamers. But okay, went into a ranked 1v1, which seemed to play fine, but I'm not an active player, I have much more experience with the game

I finished one game after I made my February report, that's why I've left this month's report so late.

• Expeditions: Viking
• Steam
• Genre: Turn based RPG
• Rating: 7/10 Good.

The second game in the Expeditions series, these games have two key factors;

Firstly, they are phenomenal role-playing experiences. Secondly, they provide average gameplay experiences.

That’s been my experience of the series so far, both Vikings and the first game Conquistador, are great games if you’re into RPGs where you jump in and immerse yourself into the lore, history and time period.

Viking, like its predecessor Conquistador, does not downplay the barbarism present in the time period. The major conflict is over religion, the story takes place in the time where Catholicism was taking off and the old world of paganism was dying. Being Vikings, you can imagine what they got up to.

Often, you are encouraged to liberally spill blood. Very often, it is of monks and nuns and indeed, children. Many dialogue options are centred around aggressive dick-waving, repaying any insults to your honour with death and more death. It is glorious and it really gets you in the mindset of a Viking raider.

The storyline presents you as newly appointed Thane of Skjern; your father having died raiding. He has also neglected his home politically and militarily, so you have the job of cleaning up your internal power struggles and batting off external Viking invaders.

There are two parts to the story; The first taking place in Denmark serves as a tutorial, and has you consolidating your home power-base. The second part, sees you raid the north of England and Scotland with impunity as you try to amass power and/or prosperity in order to gain allies to defeat any future political invasions of your lands in Denmark.

You can go either way, try and be a trading type of Viking, or go the typical strength-based warrior of legend and do your own invasion. That’s the beauty of the role-playing experience, dialogue is rich and well researched, conflicts are brutal, religion is at the foref

Many miles west of Denver in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, there is an overgrown dirt trail, beginning at the edge of the Great American Desert, winding many miles through the thick pine forests into the heart of the mountain range, at times plunging down into gorges carved by once-magnificent rivers reduced to muddy streams, or reaching into the sparse shrubbery above the treeline, and finally terminating west of the mountain range near the Utah border. The trail gained prominence in the late 1830s when missionaries traversed the rocky, barren mountains to reach the fertile lands of the Pacific Northwest. However, they quickly decided to move north to Oregon trail, finding that dysentery and Indian raids were preferable to a slow death by starvation while trapped high in the Rocky Mountains. The trail regained prominence during Colorado’s gold rush due to a number of lucrative mines located along the trail. It had become a bustling route, wide enough to fit two and a half wagons, with a number of camp towns along the way for the young men mining the mountains to rest, purchase alcohol at one of the boisterous saloons, and perhaps spend a little “private time” with the notorious women of these camps. However, by the 1880s the trail had once again fallen into disuse due to competition from the transcontinental railroads. A four-month, often lethal journey through the Rocky mountains on foot simply didn’t have the same charm as a four-day trip on the technological wonder of the iron horse. By the turn of the century, the trail had all but disappeared, the Colorado wilderness devouring the camp-towns and leaving behind a few lonely ghost towns nestled high in the Rocky Mountain.

Overall, the history of the Rocky Mountain trail would not have been anything to note, except the origin of the trail eluded the early settlers of the West. America’s earliest pioneers of the West, the Mountain Men, were more concerned with destroying local beaver populations than recording detailed histories of Western settlement; however, quite a few journals from that period provide insight into the overland routes through the Rocky Mountains, and all point to this dirt trail as an enigma, a trail already well-traveled when the first Mountain Men hadn’t even crossed the entire mountain range yet. Of course speculation was rampant among early settlers about the mystery of the eternal trail. Some believed that Spanish Conquistadors, fresh from conquering the great civilization
