why is nobody talking about conjunctions?!
what sorts of conjunctions do you have in your conlangs? which do you lack? if so, what kinds? do you have conjunctions at all? are they any natlangs that you think have cool sets of conjunctions?

On the 29th of September, 63 year old Tony Parsons set off on a 170km cycle. Starting in Fort William in the Highlands and intending to finish at his home in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire. Seemingly with little experience, he set off down the A82 at 4pm with only a few hours of sunlight left .
Tony was seen at several locations on the route including at Glencoe petrol station before crossing the bleak expanse of Rannoch Moor. He was then seen on the CCTV of the Bridge of Orchy hotel. The last unconfirmed sighting of Tony was from a HGV driver about a mile south of the hotel at approximately 2330. After this the trail goes cold. Tony was subsequently reported missing in the following days.

I have very little knowledge of how war worked in this era, but from what I managed to find so far, I know that a Captain was in charge of a company and he was aided by a Lieutenant and an Ensign. But I don't know about the finer details like how he actually fought in a war, how he commanded his people or how he worked with his superiors. So some questions I'm curious about:

Where was the Captain's position in a battle?

How did he command his troop? Did he actively observe the battle and shout commands whenever he wanted or did he wait for updates from his subordinates and told them which move to do next?

Did he have to fight anyone himself?

Did he receive orders from his superiors during the battle? Or did he just receive orders while he wasn't fighting and executed it later?

What kind of weapon would he carry to the battle? I know commanders of the Revolutionary War carried either a gun or a sabre, but could the Captain carry both a sabre and a gun at the same time?

Would there be any chance he would be separated from his troop?
Today, these planets aligned (literally) for the first time in 800 years.
And the universe decided to celebrate by granting me admissions to Yale Law School.
Literally a dream come true. I have been emotionally SOBBING for hours.
