Yo! I distinctly remember last year that Chon did a coke studio session that was uploaded to youtube, but after some searching I can't find it anywhere, or even so much as a mention that it ever even happened. It was recorded in one of their home's (I think) and was possibly live streamed?
Am I going crazy or did this session actually happen? If so (which I know it did) does anyone know if it's been uploaded anywhere or why it was removed?
My boss (in USA) wants to hear a sampling of Pakistani music. Does anyone know if Coke Studio songs come on CD/vinyl records? I'll be traveling to Islamabad soon. Thank you.
I used to use Google Play Music, but they removed most of it. Spotify also has many songs greyed out (I thought they were restricted in EU, but they don't show up even when I VPN into India). I considered switching to Gaana but they seem to have the least number of songs.
Also, if you know of any legal means to purchase all songs, I'd love to know.
Thought? I really liked all three. But dil khirki was the best of the episode.
Pakistan is not known for much. We like to boast that we have the second highest mountain or the worlds largest irrigation for some reason. The one thing that truly deserves appreciation is Coke studio. The greatest Pakistani invention. The collaboration and modern touch of classic songs renews them and gives them a new life. Love it.
