Tired of Coke Products any relief?

I am just so tired of drinking Coke's attempts at mountain dew and Dr pepper. I really just need to find the real thing preferably in a vending machine so then I can dispose of the evidence before I get back to campus so I don't get detained for drinking non-coke products.

Anyone know where there is a Pepsi vending machine near campus?

Other than No. 7, best JD product to go with Jack & Coke?

JD & Coke is a nice casual drink when I just want something easy. But I don't like JD No. 7 any other way, and I don't want to stock it just for that. I'm wondering if there are any other JD product (or other whiskey) that's similar but more interesting? The accentuated banana with the pairing is what I enjoyed the most, which I haven't found with other decent bourbon like EW BiB, etc. Thanks.

Coke product phaseout?

First this is a question, not a statement of fact.

I am back from midwest warehouse, overall a quiet trip. I wanted to pick up some Coke Zero while there and found that there was neither Coca-Cola products or empty pallets in the soda section. The variety consisted of of Pepsi, Mt Dew, and a local root beer. Given the store was quiet and is under 5 miles from the local Coke bottler I have a feeling that this was not a simple out of stock situation. Anyone with insight?

Coke vs Pepsi Products

Hey everyone, I’m an incoming freshman and some people that I have met had a discussion about drink options at the college. We learned that usually a college or university signs an agreement to only sell one company’s products. Which soda company is at the college and has it had a positive or negative impact on your dining experience? This turned from mere speculation to probably the most important question we have regarding dining.

Dasani and sprite are coke products.

When the 2 highest tier rewards members check into the hotel they get the option to pick out a snack and a drink or bonus points instead. We also have a suite shop with other products to purchase.

I was doing a 2-10 shift and from 6-10 I was by myself. At around 8pm a man walks in and I asked if he was checking in. He replied back to me in a rude way saying,”you think”. My eyes opened up wide because I already know this guy is going to be a bigger problem than he already is because of how rude he responded back and his snowflake status and I better be careful and stick to the script because I feel like management is going have to get involve.

Snowball was looking at our smilton sounders snack and drink options and he asked if we only had spring water to give out to reward members like him. I said yes and he shot back right away and said, β€œI hate spring water.” I apologized and said that’s just what we carry. He then asked for a sprite instead and I said we only complimentary give out the spring water and the 2 coke products, Diet Coke and regular coke.

He looked at me and said he was disappointed because he is a snowflake member. I apologized again and in my head I already feel like he’s going to use that to bully me. Oh boy was I right.

He said sprite and Dasani are coke products and he should be getting those instead because he is a snow flake status member. I looked at him and said I’m sorry but I can’t do that.

He then left the front desk to go around the corner to go to the suite shop and pulled out 2 Dasani waters and said he’ll be taking these instead of the spring water. I apologized again and said sorry I can’t do that. He mention his status again and said,”tell your manager that I’m a snowflake member and I want these instead of the spring water or do I have to.” I apologize again and say I’m just following policy.

I text my manager about the situation and I guess she didn’t want to deal with the headache since high tier status and so she told me to just give it to him and put it in the pass down log and write it off on the waste sheet. I got so annoyed because just 2 weeks ago I had a 2 hour stand off because a guest wanted 3 weeks of free parking and I wouldn’t budge in and today I had to give in to a different guest because a high tier member status bullied the front desk agent without a fight from management or me. The specific glass bottles used for coke commercials do not actually exist as a real product. does anyone know why this is? do they design these bottles specifically only for commercials?

https://imgur.com/a/RM3kcRs

in most modern coke commercials, the same type of bottle in the above pictures are used. The bottle is glass, with a pure red label (no white outline as seen on mexican/various european glass coke bottles), and the cap on the bottle says β€œcoca cola” as opposed to β€œcoke” (as is on the american glass bottle caps). there is also no text underneathe the logo on the label, unlike american glass coke bottles. the bottle also looks to be at least 12oz, which is only available as the mexican coke, but again the mexican coke bottles have a white outline around the red label. these non-existent bottles also show up in a few playstation commercials from when they were partnering. I first noticed this in the early 2010s and found it to be strange. does anyone have any more info on why this is? and on whether they make those just for ads, or if they are cgi’d or something?

Coke and Root Beer Floats are inferior products that ruin two great things by smushing them together.

Coke or Root Beer is great on it's own. They have good, strong carbonation that tickes your palate and tasty spicy notes that permeate your taste center but is tempered by the sweet notes. Ice cream is refreshingly cold, creamy and sweet. But when you put the two products together, the soda becomes flatter and acidic. The ice cream tastes less sweet and creaminess is less enjoyable now (imagine drinking carbonated milk). The whole thing even gets less cold/refreshing. I love a tall glass of Coke. And ice cream is an absolute joy as a small treat. Just don't put the one in the other!

Calling every carbonated beverage variety a "coke" -- regardless of whether its actually a coca-cola product or not -- is just plain stupid.

If I say "Hey can you get me a soda" or "Hey can you get me a pop" and you say "What kind" -- that makes sense.

If I say "Hey can you get me a coke" and you say "What kind" I'm gonna look at you sideways and wonder why you're making me repeat myself.

If I go anywhere in the United States and say "I want a soda," anyone anywhere is going to know what I mean -- even if they're stupid and they use "Coke" for everything. You know what Soda means. There's no confusion.

But if you say "coke" somewhere other than the deep south, it doesn't work. You're causing unnecessary confusion. You're causing a need for additional amplifying conversation to determine what exactly you mean. To me, this is a failure in communication, which makes your dialectal choice in words stupid and ineffective.

My dialect works everywhere. It is an effective dialectal difference. You might not like it, but its effective. "Coke" as a name for all carbonated soft drinks is not effective. It is unnecessarily complicated outside of the deep south.

And for that reason I think its just plain wrong, and shouldn't be an accepted dialectal choice for a carbonated beverage.

Inside Bill Gates - Does he really drink that much diet coke or was this product placement?

So I watched and enjoyed this show a lot, but I could not help notice ...

  • How neatly his fridge was filled with diet coke
  • How messily several empty cans of diet coke were on his reading table in his cabin.

I'd have thought someone presented in such a positive light and with such a personal wealth would be beyond product placement, but it just seemed too 'in your face' to be random. Also he seems to be fairly aware of the effects of things he does and so I do wonder if he really does drink that much soft drinks. The only thing I actually recall seing him drinking was bottled water.

Are there any sources of Bill genuinely drinking that much diet coke that he would have an entire bar fridge filled with it?

GFS sale on Coke products: Be careful

So two weeks ago I took advantage of the sale GFS is (was?) having. I went in to order a 2.5 gallon BIB of Coke Zero just to be told the 5 gallon was on sale for less! However when it came in the "use by" date is mid June. Not great, but I can live with that. So I decided to order a second box and picked it up yesterday. The box was taped together and had a "use by" of the end of the month (and I had already opened the first BIB). Unfortunately diet sodas do have a short shelf life due to sweeteners used.

Then the penny dropped. I realized they were not moving much due to the COVID 19 quarantine and are getting rid of the old stock. Thus the sale. Worst comes to worst I will have to ditch some of the second box. But with the sale price I am not really out of pocket any over what I was originally willing to pay per gallon.

PS, any advice on where to buy once this runs out? I am thinking of trying some of the "house brand" syrups sold at Walmart (Willtec) and Sams. I recently got tired of burning money with my Sodastream and bought a whole home kegging system to make my soda.

Because they have a bulbous bottom and a smaller top opening so that the cereal often stays in the bottom part when milk is poured in. Like if you had some corn pops.. the pops try to float to the top but the smaller opening in the top keeps them in the bottom. Wastes less milk.

Coke Business Not Making Product

Everytime I fill up my business there's no product producing. Last time people said that I didn't upgrade my business, now I did, but there's none. It's stuck at 196,000 value. Any ideas?

Cola and cola products like Pepsi and Coke taste terrible.

I seem to be the only one who believes Coca Cola and Pepsi are some of the most nauseating soda brands out there. For reference, I enjoy nice cold Sprites while people out there are arguing either if Coke or Pepsi is superior to the other. They taste the same and taste awful. Enough said.

Great season. Loved it, but it felt like a long coke ad at times. The product placement seemed excessive to me, and it threw me off a few times.
