Images, posts & videos related to "Coerce"
It really pisses me the fuck off whenever I see posts, comments, RL conversations etc from men who said that their wife/gf didn't want kids but they "convinced" her to get pregnant. Some even had the gall to say that they told her they would leave if she didn't "give them a child", so she did, and now they are happily ever after blah blah blah (with the woman still doing the majority of the childcare of course).
Let's leave aside for a moment the fact that these women should absolutely have told them to stick their relationship where the sun don't shine, and left their asses sitting in the dust. We all know that.
What I wanted to talk about is how casually we as a society accept these things. In any other situation, someone telling their partner "I want you to go through 9 months of pain, permanent body modification, negative health effects, possible death, possible permanent disability, several hours of the worst pain of your life, AND sacrifice the next 18+ years taking care of the aftermath, just so I can have what I want otherwise I'll leave, and it doesn't matter that you don't want it" - that would result in everyone telling the victim that they were being abused and to run, at the very least... or a police report. Yet somehow when it comes to women and childbirth, this sort of thing is perfectly socially acceptable. It generates almost no outrage, in fact.
How biased can society be?
These people need to keep their problems and jealousy to themselves. Any therapist worth a damn will tell you that your feelings are your own and nobody else's problem. People need to stop using infertile women or their own infertility to manipulate other people.
This is an edit of a post I made in r/childfree and was banned therefrom for a sarcastic comment about violence, I have edited the post to remove all references to it so you may enjoy it, as in the end, it's a story about the entitled parents getting what they deserve.
So I'll start this off by saying that although my wife and I are firmly childfree, neither of us hate children. Generally if there are kids around and they aren't screaming like banshees, we don't mind them. I also got along relatively well with most of my step-family, but the step-sister went full mombie, and turned out to be a pretty rotten person overall, and messed up the rest of her family a whole lot, especially where kids are involved.
This slow burn starts a full year and a half before my plan came into effect. Earlier in the year, my Dad quite sensibly suggested that with the size of our family Christmas party, we skip a generation with gifts to ease the financial strain as the extended family grew. At the time I was struggling with my business and athletic career and my wife (then GF) was working on her second masters degree, so I suggested names from a hat, but he wanted to spoil all his grandchildren. I said fair enough, I'll chip in for Oma's cruise and buy gifts for my step-siblings, but don't expect anything grand.
Dramatis Personae for that Christmas party
Me - 28 year old (at the time) heavyweight mixed martial artist and strength coach AKA small time athlete working a day job to barely make rent in addition to training full time.
The SS - Stepsister, 40ish, an aging mombie who's only assets are starting to sag too much for them to be assets anymore, leaving her with no other definable personality traits
Thing 1 - My oldest Niece 12, The SS's Daughter, imagine the most vapid tweenager stereotype you can and multiply it by 1000
Thing 2 - My Oldest Nephew 9, The SS's Son, living proof that you're never to young to be an asshole
Bro - Stepbrother, 36 Formerly cool dude who gave up on life when his kids were born, years later would gain back enough willpower and gumption to physically assault his wife
Spawn 1 - 6 Youngest Niece, Bro's daughter - Sweet and shy girl, terrified by my mere presence, the wisest of the bunch IMHO
Spawn 2 - 7 Youngest Nephew, Bro's son - A generally nice kid who at this time was partway into evolving into an asshole after being constantly told to look up too and emulate thing 2.
Spawn 1 has brought a Nintendo DS and all the kids are struggli
... keep reading on reddit β‘(Edited and updated Jan 12) I went to Jungle Practice (and bot matches) to test Fafnir with several different items that proc item hit effects. I definitely had a lot of misconceptions about Fafnir's Coerce, so maybe this will help others, too.
First things first, the basics of Fafnir's 2, Coerce: This ability heals Fafnir, and gives an ally (or Fafnir himself) bonus Attack Speed, and bonus Magical (Ability) damage. This damage counts as Fafnir's damage, and is a separate hit from the ally's normal damage.
Coerce's damage is applied to both Basic Attacks and Abilities of the ally for the duration. It also makes a distinct hollow sound whenever it is applied. When Fafnir ults, his Coerce gains an AOE effect, so multiple allies can be buffed.
The above is mostly what it says on the tin, but here's the cool part: When Fafnir buffs an ally with Coerce, he also allows them to apply ability item hit effects from Fafnir's OWN items. This is what I tested with various items.
The "separate hit" I described, and this item interaction was also nicely explained by u/Krugenn (a bit edited here), making me fix some wording in the post. So, to repeat:
>The damage numbers of Coerce appear on Fafnir's screen, because they are his damage. So the allies don't actually get any of your items' effects, it's just that when they hit an enemy, Fafnir damages that enemy as well. And Fafnir's coerce damage is an ability and counts for ability effects (obviously for himself, he's the one doing damage)
The wiki page on Fafnir mentions that "Last hits will always be credited to the god that dealt the killing blow even if the bonus damage is what killed them." This should mean that Coerce should not be able to 'killsteal'. HOWEVER: I definitely witnessed some kills credited to me when I buffed an ally and never touched the enemy. I also did not have any damaging items such as Soul Reaver on me at the time. [EDIT:] Remembered wrong, info tab does not say that I killed with Coerce. Maybe my damage was the last hit before a minion killed the enemy god?
Important note: When Fafnir ults, his Dragon Breath will NOT gain any item hit effects! None at all. In his dragon form, he can only gain Attack Speed (faster breath damage) and the bonus damage hits from the buff.
Gem of Isolation: Coerce will transfer the ability to slow the enemy with each hit, even Basic attacks. The buffed ally will thus have the item effects of both Frostbound Hammer and Gem of

Persuasive Messages for COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake: a Randomized Controlled Trial
This study tests different messages about vaccinating against COVID-19 once the vaccine becomes available.
Other: Personal freedom message
Other: Economic freedom message
Other: Self-interest message
Other: Community interest message
Other: Economic benefit message
Other: Guilt message
Other: Embarrassment message
Other: Anger message
Other: Trust in science message
Other: Not bravery message
Personal freedom message 1/15 of the sample will be assigned to this intervention, which is a message about how COVID-19 is limiting people's personal freedom and by working together to get enough people vaccinated society can preserve its personal freedom.
Economic freedom message 1/15 of the sample will be assigned to this intervention, which is a message about how COVID-19 is limiting peoples's economic freedom and by working together to get enough people vaccinated society can preserve its economic freedom.
Self-interest message 1/15 of the sample will be assigned to this intervention, which is a message that COVID-19 presents a real danger to one's health, even if one is young and healthy. Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is the best way to prevent oneself from getting sick.
Community interest message 1/15 of the sample will be assigned to this intervention, which is a message about the dangers of COVID-19 to the health of loved ones. The more people who get vaccinated against COVID-19, the lower the risk that one's loved ones will get sick. Society must work together and all get vaccinated.
Economic benefit message 1/15 of the sample will be assigned to this group, which is a message about how COVID-19 is wreaking havoc on the economy and the only way to strengthen the economy is to work together to get enough people vaccinated.
Guilt message 1/15 of the sample will be assigned to this message. The message is about the danger that COVID-19 presents to the health of one's family and community. The best way to protect them is by getting vaccinated and society must work together to get enough people vaccinated. Then it asks the participant to imagine the guilt they will feel if they don't get vaccinated and spread the disease.
**Embarrassment m

It is most likely a novel whose synopsis I read on Wikipedia a while ago. I vaguely remember reading some French words to describe the people like mademoiselle and etc. So, it could be a French novel or European at the very least.
Itβs definitely a bit well known because the Wikipedia pages had βthemesβ section, talking about the books themes and characters.
Itβs definitely an older book (written before 1950 I think). And the book is set in the 19th Century most likely as there was no mention of any modern devices.
Other details that I remember but not exactly sure of is that among the people there was an upper class married couple, magician/circus guy, an old woman etc. I also remember them travelling on a wagon kind of vehicle.
Some Asian country close to China will be the first victim and then it will spread into Africa as well. From there onward, they will start sanctioning middle eastern countries that refuse to do what China says.
Iran will most likely be the first victim in middle east.
