Online stores for multi-store bakery using Clover POS

We're considering moving to online orders during the pandemic. The issue is that we have a limited amount of fresh products made daily and inventory will need to sync between our Clover devices at 3 locations and online shops.

Any recommendations for an online store? It looks like Clover used to have a native app that no longer exists.

Back when I was a student at SJSU I used to love going to Clover near Mitsuwa, however since moving back to the East Bay I haven't found anything like it. Pittsburgh Glass Center (5472 Penn) is taking a one-month hiatus from participating in Unblurred.

At Tee Rex / Cotton Factory (5440 Penn) find local food, local crafters, local beer, local DJs, and an apparel sale that'll knock your socks off. Graze through their selection of dresses, tanks and kids/toddler items and of course limited edition tees on display by our designers.

At BFG Cafe (5335 Penn), original oil paintings by Susan Wagner and photography and mixed media by Rob Larson. His "photo reflection of summer" crafts minimalistic images with a strong use of shape and line. Local artist Cathy Hartmann will be set up at the Cafe with her jewelry designs using natural gemstones, crystal and handmade glass beads.

Lat month's show at Assemble (5125 Penn), "With What They Left," knocked everyone out. This month is DigitalSalad, an edible art project. The charm of a local farmette will be installed in the urban, neighborhood gallery space. Through the month - eat fresh local harvest, connect to others in the community and sit for a spell, imagine yourself transported to the farm. Death & Floral fragrance review of 19 scents

Death & Floral - Black Friday '20 & Winter '21

This review is long and long overdue, but I’ve been spending a lot of time getting to know these scents and figuring out what works for me, and I'm excited to share what I've learned. Before I review the actual products, I want to highlight the above-and-beyond customer service that D&F has shown again and again. Any time I’ve asked a question via the chat on the website, I’ve gotten a friendly and helpful response within minutes (can’t be easy for an indie company, I’m sure!) and they’ve always honored my requests down to the detail. I made a large order for Black Friday, but a lot of the scents I picked out really didn’t work for me. I discovered that the ones I didn’t like had either heavy musk or strong sweetness (which I do like on their own, but that’s the weird thing about perfume—it may work for your nose, but not on your skin). With fresh knowledge and a better understanding of my skin chemistry, I returned to the chat to ask for recommendations. They stayed and chatted with me for almost an hour! Based on what I said I didn’t like (strong musk and sticky sugar) and what I do like (fruit, citrus, and light sweetness) they picked out Painted Pears, Color Me Blood Orange, Honeycomb, and No Nukes Smog Spray. I can say, hands down, these recommendations were 100% spot on. This was such a great experience, and I don’t think I’ll ever want to pick out scents on my own again! I feel so fancy with my personally-curated fragrances, and they all work so well on my skin. I’m going to add the scents that didn’t work for me to my next donation to Project Beauty Share, and hope they end up in the hands of someone who will love them.

Another thing that I’ve learned after getting to know these fragrances is that D&F seems to have a signature note that appears in most (but definitely not all) of their scents. You know how all Lush products smell like Lush, regardless of what scent the product itself actually is? It’s the same phenomenon happening here. In my opinion, the D&F signature scent is botanical and musky—like the basement of a flower shop. It’s a blend of things fresh and old, which is a beautiful, literal representation of the name, Death & Floral.

Color Me Blood Orange - fresh Italian orange blood blended with autumnal spices and honeysuckle

This was my absolute favorite, and is the scent I keep coming back to. It’s fresh and clean, barely

POS for new/small bakery

I’m having “analysis paralysis” for a POS system. We’re based in the US, a brand new, small (just my business partner & myself) bakery and up to now we’ve been “cash or Venmo only”. Now that we have a storefront, we need the ability to have a POS/card reader system. Which have you gone with and why did you choose that one over another? I’m trying to compare monthly fees, equipment cost, software abilities, customer service quality, etc.

My current thought is that Square or Clover might be a good choice. What are your thoughts?

I tried cinnamon rolls from 3 local bakers, wanna share my review

7th August Edit. I tried another one, Stickycinn. Located at Seksyen 7 shah alam. Here's review for No4:

I order mix flavor, which is biscoff crumbs, Nutella and chocolate.

So let's label this No4. Rm45 for 16pieces =rm2. 80 per piece

I personally dont like any topping, already ask for 4 pieces not to have any, but still got, so i end up with 8 rolls with biscoff😅.

It's very fluffy, almost like apom. But dont really like the cinnamon flavor. Either it's the brand, or it's the cinnamon powder doesn't mix enough with sugar and butter, but it taste... Different to me. Unlike the other 3.personally,not to my liking.

The frosting is cream cheese,not too sweet. To simplify, this is a softer no3 with no2 frosting. Personally, i rather stick to no1 or no3.

But i also ordered a limited,sempena aidil adha pandan gula melaka roll

And this taste much better, much nicer than the cinnamon roll. I like the gula melaka flavor, the frosting somehow taste better too and with chewy coconut flake on top, really improves the whole experience. This i might buy again, if it's available.

I really like cinnamon roll, since i tried Cinnabon. I try other rolls from local bakery or cafe, and they all suffer from the same thing, too strong yeast aftertaste. I try make them myself. Also face same problem.

So i tried googling good cinnamon roll made by local bakers, and some are suggested by good fellow malaysian redditers. Here's what i tried.

The 1st one is from Home Baker by Clover, at Bukit Jelutong.

This is the classic cinnamon roll. Full of cinnamon flavor, nice crust on the outside, and soft on the inside. The frosting have strong vanilla flavor. Not too sweet. Just nice. No yeast aftertaste.

This is the closest to cinnabon, possibly better. Excellent.

Help me narrow down a Hexennacht order!

In my excitement for Hexennacht's reopening, I'm trying to figure out what I want to order between "blind buy a full size", "get decants/samples", and "pass on entirely". I have samples of Santal and Embalming Fluid and both have totally (totally!!!) sold me on Hex as a house, but I haven't tried a ton of other Hex scents and would love some outside opinions :)

notes i like: citrus, sandalwood, green/grass/herbal, aquatic/water/rain atmospherics, most fruits, lavender, vanilla/tonka, coconut, cedar, anything in the iso e/cetalox/ambroxan family

notes i avoid: most wine/boozy notes, "buttery"/"rich" gourmands, the incense/patch/headshop family, aggressive musks, christmas candle spices

And then here's my overly long list of what I'm considering:

YKW? IDEK - sparkling aldehydes, raspberry essence, apricot, pink peppercorn, meadow grass, papaya, vanilla, spun sugar.

Felix Felicis - fresh green grass, clover, tart green apple, watermelon.

Slice of Life - sweet Florida oranges, and fresh, salty ocean air.

Moloko Plus - steamed milk, sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, and rice milk, infused with lavender simple syrup, coconut crème, and green cardamom poddiwods.

Cetalox - a post-modern synthetic ambergris perfumery component redolent of warm skin/paper/cedarwood/ozone/pepper with an ambroxan-like background -- and to *some* -- smells like nothing at all. Exceptional longevity.

Gold Skulltula - golden amber, cardamom, vanilla orchid, vanilla bean, tonka, myrrh

Loup-Garou - silver amber, fur, lunar musk.

First Hexennacht Haul - 10 Ajevie Sample Reviews

Background/Overview

This is my first time purchasing samples from a house other than BPAL. I wouldn't say I have the best hit rate with BPAL (all of their incense smells the same to me, and a lot of their fruity gourmands seem watered down), but for a long time they were the only indie perfumer I knew of.

I've tried probably a hundred or more different BPAL blends in my time, and I thought I had a pretty good grasp on what I liked and didn't like. I was surprised by how different the same notes can smell from different houses! Some examples:

When the lab calls something "sparkling," it's metaphorical - a bright or light note. Caroline's sparkling notes have true nose-tickling effervescence.
The lab's vanilla is less sweet, almost dusty, whereas Caroline's is aggressively candied. In general, I found Hexennacht's perfumes to run very sweet, though that might be selection bias.
When the lab interprets something less straightforward, like "a cat," it tends to have at least an undertone of incense. Caroline seems to lean more on notes my brain interprets as cologne-y--except, oddly, for Rosewater Lemonade, which is entirely sweet incense on me.

The Main Event

Felix Felicis

>fresh green grass, clover, tart green apple, watermelon.

On application, Felix is sweet, juicy and green. If you took the cucumber melon scent that was really popular in the late '90s and mixed in some fresh green glass clippings, that's what this would smell like.

It hasn't changed much in the weeks since it first arrived. The throw is minimal, as is the longevity. Within an hour, it's a soft clover scent, and within three hours, I can only smell it where my collar brushed up against my throat. (6/10 - will use up but not replace)

Rosewater Lemonade

>tart, sweet lemonade infused with fresh, heady rose petals

I've described this a couple of times as sparkling roses with a kiss of lemon, but the more it ages, the more it becomes sweet, sparkling incense. It's only been a couple of weeks, and already I can't pick out the rose or the lemon. I see the notes for Angelica Lemonade are "angelica root, light florals, sandalwood, barely-there patchouli, lemon" so I'm kind of wondering if all Hexennacht's lemonades are [flavoring] + incense + lemon?

Anyway, I love it. It's sweet and refreshing, the perfect incense blend for summer or people who don't love incense but still want to think of themselves as cool and witchy

Some tips

Read the darn FAQ (https://www.reddit.com/r/CookieClicker/wiki/faq)
If you feel like cookie clicker is going slower when the game is out of focus, make sure that it is in focus at all times (I moved it to a separate window), and disable the Defocus option for good measure. This is because (AFAIK) web browsers don't like to waste resources on out of focus websites, so it slows them down.
If the first ascension feels slow, don't worry. It's supposed to. Also, if anything feels slow at all (like fully training dragon), don't worry. The next ascensions will fix that for you.
If you lose your progress, try switching from http to https. Oh, and BACK UP YOUR SAVE.
Want to know the optimal layout for breeding golden clovers? The best season strategy? Learn some lingo? Talk to people who have octodecillions of cookies? Go to the Dashnet Forums discord (link is at the top bar of Cookie Clicker).
Remember: milk is cool (Mokalsium boosts CPS by 3x for me). Go for as many achievements as you can (get buildings to multiples of 50, cast a lot of spells, rename your bakery, etc).
Eventually, your main source of income will be JS Consoles, Chancemakers, and Grandmas.
When ascending, go for the kitten upgrades above all else (remember: milk is cool). Then, get buildings to multiples of 50. If you want extra value and have Krumblor, switch to Earth Shatterer and sell of your buildings for more cookies. Oh, and pop your wrinklers.
Regular soil is for poor people, fertilizer is for growing plants, clay is for garden combos, pebbles is for idiots, and wood chips is for mutating.
If you idle, DON'T IDLE. You can get several years' worth of production with a click frenzy combo, and at a certain point buildings become so expensive that the only way to reach them is with combos.

Some long, marshmallow obsessed Cocoapink reviews!

Since they reopened today, I thought I would do my part to support one of my very favorite businesses by giving some reviews of the scents of theirs that I own. I definitely am more of a fall lover than spring/summer, so some of these may not be available from CocoaPink atm, but you may be able to find them in the swaps.

In no particular order, please enjoy these thoughts! I will say disclaimer, unless otherwise noted, these are EDP. Cocoapink in particular has a default setting on their scents of "smell me across town" and I live for that shit. The quality & cost effectiveness keeps me coming back.

Bonfire Pumpkins: (Fall)

Scent Description: This scent started out as an accident then turned into my personal all time favorite scent. This year I decided to share. We accidentally mixed Pumpkin porridge with Marshmallow Fireside and created a sensational creamy bonfire scent with notes of maple oats drizzled with pure golden clover honey, a pinch of muscovado sugar all topped with a dollop of sugared pumpkin puree plus toasted vanilla marshmallows over a roaring fire. This is a smoky scent.

This guy leans a lot more oatmeal, at least to me, than what I expected based off of the description. It smells like the richest golden roasted oatmeal you've ever had, dripping with buttery delight (which I think is the pumpkin, but it blends in so I get more "buttery" than I get stereotypical "pumpkin" personally). The marshmallow fireside really melds with it as well, turning into like a caramelized sugary type scent that enhances the oaty-ness. It definitely has that like roasted note that gives me the oogie woogies in marshmallow fireside (MY personal all time favorite). This one I don't wear as much because my partner HATES maple, and three is a noticeable maple in here, but if you want to smell like sexy, fire-roasted breakfest magic, this is a great scent for you. Reads very autumn but I WEAR IT ANYTIME I FEEL LIKE IT. And usually to work, so my partner doesn't give me shit about the maple. I do think the maple-oat-explosion dies down a bit eventually, leaving more of a mellow, marshmallowy soft scent in it's wake.

Marshmallow fireside:

Scent notes: Toasted vanilla marshmallows over a roaring fire. Our rendition of the smoky marshmallow favorite.

This is like smoky mountain mallow's younger, bubbly cousin. It delights me because not only is it mouth-wateringly realistic marhsmallow, but there is such a vivid "roasted" note that makes me literal

Best POS system for bakery/cafe?

My in laws just purchased a successful and established bakery and cafe. The previous owners are Mennonite, and in turn the facility has almost no tech, which includes a lack of POS system. They are still using a ticker tape style cash register, which puts them at an immediate disadvantage for data collection on all things POS. My family owns a dry-cleaner, which that business info obviously doesn’t translate to the needs of a bakery.

Anyone have any experience with which ones in the industry are good/bad?

[US][SELLING]Many Individual Volumes of Manga/Anime [W]$2.50-$2.80 each Paypal

CHANGES: There are now 2 different pricing tiers: 1 for regular manga/anime and 1 for ex-library manga/anime. There is also a 5% discount for purchasing 10 or more items. It seems more fair that regular and ex-library items cost different amounts, and I save a little bit of money on shipping larger orders. There is no minimum order requirement, but the option for larger orders is there.

Most of the manga are in the grade range of G2-G4. Some of the manga have parenthetical notes about their condition and are generally in G1-G3 condition. Ex-library manga are listed separately and are automatically G1 regardless of their condition. I'm selling these manga cheaply enough that I don't want to answer 20 questions about each one.

I also have a small amount of anime available for the same price. Anime are either new in shrinkwrap or used but tested. Each one is subtitled or dubbed in English.

My inventory is separated into several categories: 18+ manga (non-yaoi), 18+manga (yaoi), regular manga, anime, ex-library manga, and ex-library anime.

After we agree to what you're buying in the thread, I'll need you to PM me your email address. Then I'll send you a paypal invoice.

Pricing:

Regular manga/anime cost $2.80 each. Ex-library manga/anime cost $2.50 each.
