>As of Monday, the nation’s seven-day average of daily new Covid-19 cases increased more than 30% compared with a week ago, according to a CNBC analysis of Johns Hopkins University data.
>Texas, Arizona and California are among the number of states mostly across the American South and West that have seen a dramatic increase in cases over the past few weeks as they started reopening their economies.
>California saw a massive jump in its daily report of positive cases on Monday, adding 6,219 new cases, according to data from Johns Hopkins.
>As of Monday, there are 3,110 people currently hospitalized in Texas based on a seven-day moving average, which is a 43% increase compared with a week ago, according to Covid Tracking Project data.
WHY is the market still going up when cases are exponentially increasing? I am absolutely speechless. I can’t bring myself to und... keep reading on reddit ➡
Investors are still largely sitting on the sidelines after the market’s epic rebound, but the low returns in bonds and cash have left them with no alternatives but to embrace risk assets again, according to JPMorgan. The firm sees a nearly 50% rise in stocks over the long term due to this shift.
“Our most holistic of our equity position metrics, which compares the size of the equity universe to the size of the bond and cash universe, implies 47% upside for equities from here assuming the implied equity allocation of non-bank investors globally rises from 40% currently to the post Lehman period high of 49%,” Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, a managing director at JPMorgan, said in a note on Friday.
As of right now, T1 is sitting in Grandmaster at 272LP the cut off for chsllenger is somewhere around 410LP i think. I for one am surprised how fast hes climbed sfter purging his champion pool and wanted to ask what the communitys opinion on this is.
He used to play Karthus, Kindred, Jarvan and Olaf
Recently he started playing almost exclusively Ivern and Olaf and has gained like what, 400LP since??
Now i know going from grandmaster to challenger is very different than climbing in lower Elos, but is a champion pool adjustment good advice for anyone failing to climb?
The new patch includes ladders and "free placement" of doors and windows, among other things! You can find more information over at EA's website.
Not sure whether you can reintroduce your mods/CC to your game? Check out this handy thread!
Please try to stick to this megathread if you're having issues after updating so we don't fill the sub with similar posts! Make sure to remove mods and CC first because it's the first thing you'll be asked about when troubleshooting!
Thanks and happy simming!
Sneaky edit: we're taking mod applications to handle the influx of posts for the new pack(s) coming out soon, send us a modmail with your motivations to apply!
That means they can grapple a medium creature, carry it without a speed penalty, and climb real friggin high. King Kong all up in this bitch, yo.
What other fun encounters have you come up with?
The pilot gets on the loudspeaker and tells the cabin that if they look to their right, they'll see the pearly gates and the shining city beyond.
The passengers marvel at the sight, but one man spots his daughter who died from cancer the previous month. He rushes to the emergency exit, where another man has already opened the door. Both of them leap out of the plane together over the protests of the flight attendant, only to find that the clouds don't support their weight.
After some time falling, he turns to the other, terrified man, and says,"Well, we won't be able to visit our deceased relatives the way we would have liked, but at least we'll see them today, one way or another."
"That's not what bothers me," says the other man. "What bothers me is that we passed the ground a while ago and didn't stop!!"
Maybe it’s wanna of those wait and see what the overall effect of the change is, but in my opinion it may discourage the guy who’s hardstuck gold/plat from making a smurf because he’s convinced his mmr is fucked, but I don’t see how it stops smurfs whose sole purpose is to ruin low elo games, if anything the change helps them.
As for unranked to challenger players it won’t stop them at all, unranked to challenger streams are still very popular and in high demand, and now these challenger streamers are stuck for longer stomping low elo, and ruining those games for players in the elo.
Edit: I see now that while LP gains are slowed mmr is not, so these players are not actually playing in the rank they are shown, thanks for the help!
Posted this on a comment section of another post but thought I’d share it in its entirety.
On mobile so please excuse any typos, less than perfect grammar/punctuation and due to the time that has lapsed it may not be a word for word account.
My father bought himself a brand new Bentley Continental back in 09’ and one afternoon took my brother and I down to the coast to a restaurant his friend owned, where you can sit outside and look over the beach and more importantly keep an eye on his mid life crisis mobile.
Within 15 or so minutes of sitting down we had this woman approach, probably late 30’s with her kid, 10 at most and quite overweight.
The following is the closest rendition of how the conversation went.
EK: mum! Look at that Bentley EP: Excuse me, is that yours? D: yeah EP: would it be alright if my son sat in it to have his photo taken? D: no, sorry. EP: thats not very fair, he’s X years old and just wants to sit in your car. I can’t believe you D: well, believe it. T... keep reading on reddit ➡

I used to be ~3500 MMR, Legend 5ish I think like two years ago. I resumed playing the game probably a year ago, and calibrated much lower and have been dropping ever since. My winrate while I was at 3500 MMR was around 54% or something.
I'm aware the first point of contest will probably be the winrate. I'm aware it's abysmal and it's like that purely because I tilt and lose games because of it. I used to flame people in the chat. Now, I (try) to keep my chat off via the in-game option not to prevent me from reading what others say, but more to avoid tilting my team.
There's two specific games which I just played which perfectly sum up my experience at low MMR:
Ursa game as position 1: ID 5486685616. Sniper eventually gets out of hand and they win because of it.
Phantom Lancer game as position 1: 5486726830 Extremely tilting. We slowly threw the game to the point... keep reading on reddit ➡
On the Vostok step of The Lie quest, you can simply jump over the bridge to Felwinter's Peak and climb it.
If you've already completed this step, just load in on one of your other characters and get the quest from Ana.
Thanks to u/Chocolat3fish for figuring this out (his post)
Who cares if the quest is bugged, you can climb the mountain!
EDIT: FWIW here is the route I used, https://streamable.com/heidgr
EDIT: Created a timelapse from the top of the peak.
At around 4k glory you are losing I think 68 points and win 40 points. I don't think I need to explain, that win streaks have a major impact on how much glory you are getting and that winstreaks are the major way to gain rating. However, considering that SBMM is on, getting those winstreaks should be close to impossible. The "chances" of getting a 5 winstreak should be around 0,03% <- EDIT: It's actually 3%.
I won't even get into SBMM and how it doesnt really work and the fact that it doesnt makes this winstreak system even more punishing. I just think that the streak system combined with a SBMM system inherently contridicts itself.
I made a little spreadsheet in which I try to calculate the estimated gains and losses per match depending on your winrate. I am not claiming that this is 100% correct and I encourage people with a better understanding of statistics and probablities to check for error.
Essentially you can type in your winrate (... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hey there. I have been thinking about this for quite some time now. Multiple comments and interactions with various people, both from my own family, friends and colleagues over the years have prompted me to think:
Should I be ashamed that I am NOT ambitious and eager to climb the career ladder? Am I a loser in life for not placing more emphasis on my career?
A little background about myself. I'm a teacher, and I graduated from a UK university in 2014 with first-class honours. Since then, I have been working as a teacher at a public secondary school.
A good number of my coursemates and also other teachers all seem to be planning their career developments very aggressively, from pursuing Masters while working full-time as teachers, participating and presenting papers in seminars and conferences, creating modules, conducting camps, etc etc......while I on the other hand am pretty.....chill about it.
Every year, all the time that I have during school holidays is solely dedicated... keep reading on reddit ➡
It's ridiculous. These large channels releasing tier lists, "broken" hidden builds, and pick videos that are basically baiting players into picking things and building things that are suboptimal just to get the ad revenue and clicks.
I literally just saw a large channel release a Patch 10.10 tier list 6 hours ago. Patch 10.10 isn't even out yet. So people are going to watch that video and start picking Soraka top because it told them it will let them climb.
This race to give hardstuck players quirky picks to latch on to with the promise of them being "HIDDEN OP BROKEN KOREAN PICKS" is not helpful for those players or the people unlucky enough to get in game with them.
