Many companies are trying to expand their market share, especially in the app market, by offering cash or cash-equivalent incentives to new users. If one company offers new users a free stock/cryptocurrency/etc., and a competitor doesn't, then the company with the referral program will gain more market share. This gives you the opportunity generate a nice chunk of change by signing up for a bunch of different apps.
I constantly search the web for the latest and greatest referral opportunities, and this is an up-to-date list I'm maintaining that details the best offers around right now! There are more than $2000 worth of offers on this page.
Please feel free to leave comments with any thoughts/questions! CakeDeFi, CoinList, Celsius, Gemini, Crypto.com, OKCoin, and N26 are worldwide offers, the rest are US only.
My husband and I moved a few months ago to a new house. I’ve always wanted wind chimes so we got a set to hang up on the deck. The houses are relatively close together so I’m sure the neighbors can hear. Would you find this annoying? I love the sounds of wind chimes but I don’t want to be that annoying neighbor!
From Golden Guardians Twitter:
> Your Summer 2021 GG Starting LCS Roster. > > Join us in welcoming and congratulating Chime, who has been promoted to our starting roster following an academy split full of growth and development, alongside Solo, who will also be starting headed into Summer.
> Alongside our newest Academy coaching acquisitions, you'll see both Niles and Newbie join our Academy roster as we work towards another Proving Grounds qualification in 2021.
LCS Roster: Solo / Iconic / Ablazeolive / Stixxay / Chime
Academy Roster: Niles / RoseThorn / Yunbee / Prismal / Newbie
Some context from Danan, GG's GM:
> In order to build more runway for our usual mid-season tryout period, we took arguably the shortest break. After a little over a week of support-exclusive tryouts, including Chime, Newbie, and multiple amateur/free agent candidates, we committed to Chime as our starting support. > > From there, we invested multiple weeks of LCS-caliber games to both individual and mixed rosters that included RoseThorn, Yunbee, Prismal, and Solo. Balancing youth and experience is a challenge we welcome, and we've annualized these tryouts as a commitment to that priority. > > The rosters we're announcing today are an effort to maximize the learning opportunities we see for our developing players. When paired with a continued investment in our coaching staff, we're confident we'll be able to realize the full potential of each and every Golden Guardian.
Edit: Yes - I've tried changing the "Hey Google Sensitivity, and voice match, and my WiFi is awesome.
This has become maddening! I've taken to whispering or speaking with a soft voice so devices 30 ft.+ away In another room don't reply to "Hey Google".
First example, I have a Google Home right by my bed, and one literally 30 ft away in my bathroom. I can be in bed, pointing toward the Google home by my bed - the opposite direction of my bathroom's Google Home, about 20ft away. Unless I whisper so quietly, the device has a 50/50 chance of replying - both units chime when I say Hey Google. And infuriatingly, often the one far away answers the question or command. So I either disconnect one of them, or CRANK the volume on both.
Now for the doozy. I have a GH in my living room, which has a door that leads to my bedroom. From me to the living room door is about 10 ft. Then from the living room door inside the bedroom to the Google home in the bedroom is about 20 ft. About 30ft - 35 ft. Sometimes I will say Hey Google while in my living room, and the one 10 ft away from me will answer (zero obstructions), as well as the bedroom unit 30 ft away, and my voice has to traverse a doorway. And when the bedroom device answers me when I'm in my living room... Well I could barely even hear it. I can maybe hear it saying something, but I can't hear what it is saying. At all. And the Volume is pretty high.
AND! I have started to experience units in another room from where I am answering, when I have the door closed!!!
So either Google has cranked up the listening sensitivity to omg nuclear levels. Or when I say "Hey Google", the device that hears me ping's one or two other devices, telling them to start listening as well.
This is become a serious issue. I know I have more devices than most people, but dude, this is nutty!
This is just a rant with no other purpose than to let me vent, and the one chance out of 10,000 that Google folks pay attention to this sub, ever. (I seriously don't think they do).
NOTE: it's not "Hey Google" sensitivity, I've played with the settings ad nauseam. One high, one low. Both high, both low. And variations of many in-between. I've reset my voice match, and factory reset three devices. No change.
I keep getting called Bro, Dude, Man! Lol 😂 yes I know crypto is male dominated.
Where are my Safemoon ladies? Where are you from? Are you new to crypto?
I’m Canadian 🇨🇦 live in Toronto. I’m new to crypto. New to stocks.
Jumped into the stock market this year and realized crypto market is a lot more exciting compared to stocks.
Another (very) long time stacker here (started in 1964). One of my concerns when I read the posts on this site. People are very emotional and committed and that's generally good. However, you must not think that this will happen overnight or easily. My gut level feeling is that it will take about 500,000 apes really going at it to have a big impact. So, you must be in this for the long haul and that's going to be very tough. I can tell you from much experience over decades that silver is incredibly volatile and you cannot sell out or get discouraged if it goes down. Assume that it will go down - a lot - before it goes up and then be pleasantly surprised when it goes up. Plus, you're up against people with massive power in and over the system. If you start to impact the paper price they have more tricks than you can imagine. This doesn't mean you can't win in the end. I'm just saying that you've got to be in it for the long haul and it's likely to be a very rough ride. Many of the posters here sound like people at the beginning of the civil war (on both sides) who believed that the war would be over in a few months "by Christmas" or something like that. They were entirely unprepared psychologically for what was coming and what it would take. Just my two cents.
hi hello I’m bored so I’m doing a qna for chime. not expecting many asks but if I do get anything it’ll be fun. It goes without saying that we're beyond relieved the Mockhide didn’t give you any trouble on your latest C.R.R. delivery: we've never exactly been keen on sending pizzas to that abomination after what it did to Andrew(not that we have much say in that particular matter). But in any case, all is well, and we'll thus be shortly sending you on yet another delivery to that ominous pond within that curious neighborhood. As always, we've once again included any and all information you could possibly need regarding this customer. Given how well you've done so far, we're sure you'll do just fine, but do try to be extra cautious around this next customer: it's very easy to catch his attention. You’ll soon understand that is very much the last thing you want from him.
Customer name: The Chime Maker
Address: 2943 Champ Ln.
Regular Order: Sardine pizza, topped additionally with large acorns, assorted tree seeds, whole scallops(shells still attached) and smooth flat rocks(exact toppings often vary slightly with each order).
Residence description: Massive sycamore tree, growing right alongside the upper bank of Broken Hand Pond's first "finger". It's branches have been heavily adorned with innumerable wind chimes of various shapes and sizes.
Customer description: The Chime Maker strongly resembles a pale Asian man in his mid 20s. He’s tall, measuring at slightly over 6 feet in height, and notably thin, with his ribs being prominently visible. He's entirely bald, and his choice of clothing is unique: all of it, from the baggy pair of shorts on his legs to the short jacket on his upper body, is made entirely of miscellaneous scraps of colorful fabric. The one exception to this is a long white blindfold he wears at nearly all times. Interestingly, the Chime Maker doesn't wear shoes of any kind. This is because his “feet" aren’t exactly normal: they’re much like those of a monkey, ending in long fingers accompanied by a strong thumb, as opposed to short stubby toes. They all end in inch-long, ivory colored, half-crescent shaped claws(as do his actual fingers], with the inner edge of each one being thinly serrated, almost like the edge of a blade. Additionally, the Chime Maker's arms are equal in length to his legs, and his teeth are heavily serrated, much like those of a snake... keep reading on reddit ➡
I was funded this morning after just a 4 week period between the time I applied and now. Applied 4/27, doc signed 4/30, sba processing until 5/20, approved 5/18, PN signed 5/19, lender funded 5/22, borrower funded 5/25 and woke up this morning at 7 to my deposit in my chime account.
It’s coming people! Just gotta hold on, he positive and pray about it!
Hey everyone, thanks for all your responses to my wind chime post! I had no idea there would be so many opinions lol but I appreciate everyone taking the time to share their opinions and stories! I wish there was a way to share a video but you’ll have to take my word for it that the wind chimes have a lovely tone and aren’t that loud. You can still hear the birds and wind going through the leaves plenty. Based on all your feedback we decided to keep them up during the day but take them down at night. Again thanks so much everyone sorry I didn’t respond to everyone I didn’t expect the post to blow up like that! Take care and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Looking to hear from 237 selects shipping out in June. Post your PFT, study and PT habits, hopes, dreams, and greatest fears.
Max/max/21:15 here (280). Currently hammering general orders, leadership principles and qualities, and code of conduct into my brain. Feel like I know the op order fairly well, though I have not briefed it yet.
Haven’t really tapered the PT since we will have the two week quarantine. My 21ish minute run is all out though, so still trying to shave some seconds off so the PT doesn’t suck. Current plan is two intervals a week + a 2 or 3 mile run at PFT pace. In between run days I do easy recovery runs 5 miles, and biking 10-12 miles. Totals about to 18-20 mpw usually. I don’t feel super worn out at the end of the week, so I’m hopeful I can handle the tempo and volume of OCS without risk of overuse injury.
Other than that, 100 pull-ups or weighted pull ups every day, trying to max plank every day, and lots of pyramids/decks of cards thrown in to get those numbers. Pyramids are currently one of my favorite ways to train.
I'm currently job hunting and I've received a few emails related to jobs I applied for 1 month+ ago. It might be a rejection email, or an email saying "thanks for your patience, we are still reviewing applications."
However the majority of the roles I've applied for have sent no update at all. Even from 2 months back. Many of these jobs are still present on whatever jobs portal I found them on.
I've just gotten a "pre-invterview interview" invite for a job I applied for at the beginning of April. They thanked me for my patience in the email.
It's been a good few years since I've had to job hunt. In fact I can't really remember what it was like. Is this normal or is everything still at half speed due to covid?
Note: these are not very senior roles.
Maybe junior to mid level I guess? 2-3 years experience required.
Edit: bonus question. At what point do you give in and get any old job in a shop or office admin job stapling sheets of paper just to keep busy?
