Why YSK: As someone who has struggled with anxiety, I find Darwin's story to be a comfort. His condition greatly affected him, but it did not define him, it is not what he is known for. If you find yourself struggling with your mental health, particularly if you can't bring yourself to get out of bed, it may help you to know that you are not alone in history: some of the greatest men and women to have ever lived struggled in similar ways, it is very possible that Darwin felt just as you do, and look at what he achieved!
I've seen a lot of commentary lately about how the Crown is fiction and not fact. A lot of complaints seem to revolve around a (supposed) bias against Charles, and people arguing that the portrayal is unfair on him.
But I've been looking into it, and I'd argue that the Crown left out a lot of the more dramatic accusations against Charles and even made excuses for him by making him seem more romantic then he actually was.
His relationship with Camilla is portrayed as this grand love story. But many claim that he had other mistresses - both while involved with Camilla and while married to Diana. Diana believed he was sleeping with the nanny, and while with Camilla (before Diana) he apparently had another long-term mistress nicknamed Kanga.
The storyline also left out a lot of the more awful claims that Diana has made about him - for example, yelling at her for fainting and ordering her to continue work rather than resting afterwards, knowing about her bulimia and mocking her f... keep reading on reddit ➡
