Found a death certificate with my name in my moms safe

I was visiting my mom the other day and she asked me to grab something from her safe for her. While looking through the safe I found a death certificate with my name and birth date and a date listed when I was 6 as a death date. I haven't confronted my mom yet, but seeing it left me reeling. I have no idea where to go from here. r/RBI, any clues or tips?

Update: after talking with my SO and reading some of the comments, im going to confront my mom tomorrow 12/3/2021 with my SO there as a witness/mediator. If that doesn't go anywhere, ive been recommended to call and confirm my identity with the state. Also, as many people were asking, CoD was a car crash.

Update 2: there was some confusion on the earlier listed date 12/3/2021 and it was mistook for December? Appropriate date is: 12 March, 2021

Update 3: probably my final Update, will still comment in comments below though. Talked with my mom..... and what a completely uninteresting story. I found.... an April Fools joke she had prepared. Yup, all that for a gorram April Fools joke. She has been planning this joke for years apparently. I go to start the conversation and she goes, I know what you found, I wanted to give you this before we talk. It was an envelope of baby pictures of me in a alien photoshoot -_- she has been playing the long con. Bruv sorry for alarming people.

My previous 20+ years had me never touching Certificates. My new job has had me work with them 6 times in the past year. Every time the process has been different, difficult, and often has to be re-done because the instructions straight from godaddy are wrong.

There has to be an easier way than this.

How the heck a Mormon genealogy website has scans of my birt certificate???

I'm from south America. I've never lived in US or done anything with it except from the fingerprints and picture when I touched any or their airports.

And surfing the web I found that this Mormon website has my birth certificate scanned from the original book! With stains and everything. Furthermore, they have my parents', their marriage certificate, my grandparents marriage certificate and more. I mean, how the heck! Did someone in the government of my country sold a copy of all the certificates to them? Is that even legal?

Looking for a post about someone who found their own death certificate

Hi.. I think this was posted only a day or two ago. It was someone who had gone into their mums safe and found a death certificate with their name on it. The post said it stated they died at age 6 and cause of death was a car crash. They were going to confront their mam and update. Lots of people where very intrigued and post said he'd update asap. I'm so nosey and full on gasping to know how, why and wtf his mam was doing with a death certificate for their child that is very much h alive and kicking. Edit: it was definitely posted on this sub

In Ohio, you now have to sign a death certificate and have a funeral after an abortion

A couple months ago, Ohio Governor Mike Dewine signed a bill forcing women who have abortions to sign a death certificate, then have a burial or cremation and funeral for the embryo/fetus. It just became law. Fuck you, Mike Dewine.

On top of that, he also wants to make abortions public record, to publicly shame women for abortions.

Can I contact the ACLU or someone over this?

If I ever get pregnant, I'll go to New York to abort it.

EDIT: Some of you don't believe me. Here are some sources.

Aita for not sending death certificate

Aita for not sending death certificate?

First time poster, so please forgive me if I screw up. My mother moved across country and into my house for her final year of life. She had been dating a man, and living with him for 20+ years. This started when I was a teenager, I never lived with him, we never had a close relationship other than cordial. In 2007 we had a heated argument and I was forbidden from ever setting foot into his house again. (My mother was living with him at this point) the only times I saw my mother was when she came out to see me, or for a few hours a day when I would go visit her. It was always super uncomfortable picking her up or going to that house. We never spoke after that incident. She finished her final treatment back where she lived, and he refused to let her go home, said she was going to do harm to her and him, (that was not the case...at all)and had to be committed to a rehab facility. I was told by him to come get her, or just leave her there and let her medical coverage take care of it. I went back. He refused to let her into the house, to pack her possessions, so I had to hire a moving company and he allowed me an hour to point out her possessions and arrange their transport. She has passed, the entire time she was here I heard from him 4 times. He sent her 2 letters and called 3 times. She was heartbroken. She wanted their lives separated. He has now been bothering me to send him her death certificate, so he can claim some continuing common law marriage (I do not know, but it appears they did it to share medical coverage) and remain on her very good medical coverage. It is very good. He would otherwise have none. Why I may be the a** here. Or not. He is old, 80s, had some serious but not Immediately threatening health conditions. He would lose whatever nice network he is on and be forced into the medicaid system, and huge pharmaceutical costs. He drinks a lot, but refuses to spend money on other things, so I know he will not seek or pay for quality medical coverage. He is also very wealthy. Has multiple kids who are also very wealthy. He could easily pay for any incurred expenses. To be honest, I hold no ill will, I’d just like this whole experience in my rear view. He is an ex lawyer, he could potentially try some kind of shenanigans, although I’m not quite sure how. Aita?

YSK: If you make a mistake with your baby’s name or change your mind about the name, in the United States and in some other countries, you have a grace period in which to change the birth certificate without a court order. Some states allow a whole year even.

Why YSK: because mistakes happen and minds change, especially during such an emotional and stressful time. You don’t have to live with regret because you messed up the spelling or you suddenly realize that the baby’s name just isn’t the right one.

Certificate expiration is a greedy cash grab in this industry

Not much of a question, but just a small vent...

I have been looking to start collecting certs to grow internally. I have studied a good chunk already, just need to fill in cert specific knowledge gaps.

Each cert will want 50-100 dollars a year, but why does me paying an annual maintenance fee mean that I’m still qualified...

My wallet is supposed to prove that I still retained knowledge? It’s a greedy cash grab in the cert industry, which turns certificates into a subscription service more then anything else.

This guy refers to himself as a β€œsperm king” because he inseminates women for free (or sometimes a fee). If requested he puts his name on the birth certificate. Even with a contract absolving him of child support responsibilities, won’t he still be compelled to pay child support in a court ruling?

Source

I think he’s at 40 kids now from all around the country. The legality of whether or not this becomes prostitution is a different question, but I’m mostly curious about if his plan is actually sustainable in terms of not being on the hook for child support for all these kids if the parents drags him to court.

Could any contract truly absolve him of responsibility? How do conventional sperm back donors avoid court ordered child support?

Edit: In terms of a fee I should clarify that it seems that the fee only involves cover expenses such as travel.

It's /r/Bellingham's monthly giveaway time! Coffee, soaps, jewelry, and a comic gift certificate code! Free entry!

Sorry it's so late! My employee has been outta town chasing Seagulls (it's their favorite animal). But you don't care! Show me the money you say in your best Tom Cruise voice!

Ninja edit: if you are a local biz or maker and want to throw into the pot, message (not chat) me and I'll work you in!

Well then, let's do it, but first we need a safe word...I mean ground rules.

One comment gets you one entry, you can respond to your own comment in a thread but additional comments beyond the first won't count. I'll be sorting comments by old to new and using Google's rando number generator to pick winners.

I am trying to spread out the gifts better and will give out one gift per 100 comments, or adjust the number if we don't reach enough comments (5 giveaways), so better chance to win eh? I will arrange free local delivery within my judgement or we can do a no contact pickup at my roastery by Options High School here in Bham. If you live outta town and are in the continental US, I will ship on my dime. I'll run the contest for a week(ish). Ends at my discretion. I think that covers everything but ask away if I missed something.

I will reply to, tag, DM, and chat winners, basically a Reddit Office WUPH. I'd prefer if you respond to me via direct message as my chat notifications take a day or so to pop up.

Our giveaway folks are: Maniac Roasting: It's-a me, Alexarc! I'll roast up for you a 1# bag of a blend or origin of your choosing, whole or ground. www.maniaccoffeeroasting.com

SeaWitch Botanical: 1 bar of Krampus soap 'cause the pandemic handwashing ain't over yet! Get ya scrub on. www.seawitchbotanicals.com

Moonflower Botanicals: A lovely bar of soap. It smelled so good I tried to eat it until my handler overpowered me! www.instagram.com/moonflower_botanicals/

A piece of super cool bone jewelry by /u/humangenitalia ! I haven't looked at it 'cause it's wrapped up real nice to keep the ghosts in!

And I include them last 'cause they can be trusted to wrap up the parade: A $15 gift certificate to The Comics Place website! Includes free delivery within reason! Find out if Archie finally chose Betty or Veronica at the conclusion of S450 EP 700! https://shop.thecomicsplace.com/

May the favors be ever in your odd!

Google Career Certificates for Project Management are now live

Speak of the devil. I posted yesterday about seeing the signs that the degree program would be opening up soon and 24 hours later they launch it. I assume they must have seen my post and pulled the trigger earlier (obviously its my super power).

From an email I got today:

>Hi there,
>
>The wait is over: new Google Career Certificates are now available.
>
>Google Career Certificates are fully online job training, designed to help you start a career in project management, data analytics, UX design, and IT support. Alongside these certificates, we are also launching a new course to help you prepare for the Associate Android Developer Certification*.*
>
>At under 10 hours of study per week on your own schedule, you can be prepared for a new career within six months. The program, built by Google, is designed to give you the foundational skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a growing career field. And if you’re in the U.S., once you complete a Google Career Certificate, you’ll be able to connect directly to over 130 local and national employers to jump-start your job search.

I signed up immediately since I know I'll want to have experience with the courses regardless of how effective they are so I can potentially recommend friend to it. There's a free 7 day trial on Coursera but then they want about $40 a month. For now it's money I'm willing to lose worst case scenario.

Would love to know what others think if they want to roll the dice on this and see how it goes!

AITA for taking my birth certificate against my mother's will?

Context: I'm 18, still financially dependent on my parents, but living away at college for most of the year, and in most senses, fairly independent. I'm gradually distancing myself from my parents, largely because they don't support personal medical decisions I consider necessary. My parents are good people, but our family dynamic has its fair share of dysfunction, largely related to unaddressed mental health issues, and financial conditions.

The conditions of this specific event: Back in november I went to the DMV to get a state-issue ID. There was a bit of tension between my mother and I already, and due to a couple of stacked misunderstandings, I ended up walking the few miles home from the DMV, uphill in the cold, while carrying my most important legal documents just folded in my hand. Obviously not the end of the world (the walk itself isn't that bad at all) but having no choice but to carry my documents out in open added a fair layer of stress. Also, related to the previously mentioned medical condition (that my mother doesn't quite believe in), I often have trouble breathing--so these things combined made the walk quite panic-inducing. When my mother got home, she asked for my birth certificate back, and I told her I'd hold onto it (I keep most of my other documents already anyway, social security card and passport and such, so I didn't think this was unreasonable). She reacted with a very unexpected outburst, demanding it back and accusing me of not even letting her touch it. I didn't respond particularly tactfully, since I was still tired from the walk and just coming down from my panic. I eventually made a photocopy of the certificate for her, but this exchange made me very uneasy, and I kept my documents hidden until I was able to bring them back to college with me at the end of the break.

I don't believe she's the kind of parent to forcibly take my documents back or withold them purposefully, but her outburst combined with disagreements we've had about my medical choices made me uneasy. Was me withholding my passport from her uncalled for? Her reasoning was that it's safer with her, but I'm very careful with my belongings, and my college dorm is at far lower fire risk than her house anyway. She only wants what's best for me, but refuses to believe that I know what's best for myself, and tends to get very upset at the possibility of me making any decisions that she considers "sudden" (no matter how long I've been considering them for). Does my

How do you deal with SSL Certificates?

Hi, I'm a lone sysadmin in a 300+ employee company and I'm trying to deal with a LOT of small issues ATM. One of them is how to deal with SSL certificates for intranet/admin sites (Veeam Enterprise Manager, our fresh ELK stack and HTTPS communication with clients, vCenter and other internal user-facing websites).

Many of them were unsecured and I set up SSL using our wildcard cert (external CA), unfortunately it expires every year and it's quite a hassle to replace it in every server.

The ELK stack is particularly frustrating as Fleet is still in beta and I distribute agents using GPOs, which means replacing the cert in every client every year.

I need something with a much longer expiration time.

How do you guys cope with this? Do I set up an internal CA (ADCS is a pain to setup... is it worth it? Should I go with openssl and distribute the CA with GPOs?)

Do law firms care about leaving certificate grades?

Hi (and apologies if this has been asked many, many times),

I can't get my head around the fact that the job prospects for law graduates is so limited and we only run into these opportunities twice a year (Oct/Nov for training contracts and Dec/Feb for internships).

Unfortunately, I haven't ran into any luck to acquiring experience in the legal sector, no matter what I do. Is this to do with my leaving certificate grades?

I obtained 300 points - due to a family illness and I have told law firms that I will happily provide any medical records as proof. I did a PLC and received a distinction, which ultimately led me to a spot in UCD. Also, I’ve completed internships (which I worked alongside Project Management and IP lawyers) and I speak three languages on a fluent level (English, Dutch and Chinese). I don’t want to sound biased, but think I've proven enough at least to qualify for a summer internship?

It makes me sick to my stomach when I get another rejection email and firms refusing to provide feedback because it's a two-year training.

Edit: I would really appreciate it if I don’t get any suggestions to pursue a different path overall because I’m already halfway through my FE-1s and I will be doing an LLM (International and European Business Law) in Leiden University, The Netherlands.

Not to sound rude, it’s just I’ve already spent the time and money to pursue a career in law and it’s very frustrating to hear this.

Google PM certificate. Course 1 finish - my opinion

So in case is usefull for any of you

I just have finished the first course (of 6) form the project management certificate of google in coursera.

My general impression is that it worth it. I can say I'm an active member of my local PMP chapter and I work daily as PM but even from the introductory course I have gotten some interesting things.

About timing, in order to complete the 4 weeks (as is called in coursera modules) it took me 2 full mornings on the weekend (family is away so I stay all day on the computer), so I'm not going to say I can do it all the course in a month (because in the normal working week I will not be able maintain the pace) but I can say it will be faster than is announced

Price is 35€ (39$) per month

However I just made the introductory course, so I will say is the "easy part", lets see how it goes and how complex its gone., but for the moment I'm happy with the money spent

I'm trurning 25 in few days and still have no job. no skills, no certificates etc, suffering from depression and what not. I'm B.Tech IT Graduate. Should I take some months to prepare skills, and work on some projects at same time. Or should I take a job be it any sector, no matter what.

I have been suffering from depression for past 7 years and more. It took me 5 years to graduate. my_qualifications: B.tech IT. College life was hell for me. Because I had a year back I didn't qualified for college placement. I passed out in year 2019, August. Took degree and came back home at the time, my cgpa is 6.05. All those things which I studied in those years I had forgotten. Basically I lacked skills and things which needed for a job. Even I lack communication and things. I don't actually stammer in normal but because of this depression I've lost my speaking ability. I speak as if a gun has been pointed at me. I have memory problems too. But this is not the problem here, let's leave this for some other day.

I had lost hope for anything related to IT related sectors and govt. jobs for that reason while at home I started preparing for bank exams. And then Lockdown happened. I dipped hard into my depression. I had no energy to do things tbh I was happy that I got out of college and was happy to be free from hell, thought I can do something out of my life. But then again this unexpected happened and shattered my last little hopes for life. I would lay down in room and won't come out all day, My whole lockdown went like this I was not eating food and won't talk even to my parents.

A friend of my friend recently got into "Cognizant" company by faking certificate. I don't think this would work in long run. 4 of my college seniors got caught for faking their certificates in 2017.

I have a friend who don't know english but takes help from me in writing his office emails and all. Even I help him in chats also. He's there taking 30k per month enjoying his ife. Some other friends have switched jobs it's been 2 years and all of them are in happy places now. Settled, some are looking forward to marry, some have got kids even. And I'm here crying in bed regretting my life. The only thing I have done as achievement is I got rid of porn and masturbation habits bruh lmao. My father is not in mood of giving advice to me anymore, he is getting angry day by day, everyday he comes with those success stories "iska beta wo iski beti wo tu kya kar raha hai". Worst of all my grandmother said to my brother over phone that "Ache se padhai karna college mein ek to waise bhi gadha ban gaya hai job laga nai raha hai", I know she didn't meant it but that did hurt like hell, How can she say she loves us both. I'm lost I don't know If I could survive this any
