Starting on 12/24, Carl Fei (former co-founder) of OP started tweeting from an iPhone and has been doing so since. He already over OP? Not a good look that he's already finished with phones he made. Just a few months ago he was hyping Nord. I bought OP8Pro, but thinking of leaving too. iPhone camera > OP. Always will be.
“People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
― Carl Jung
We are both making ourselves and the world around us simultaneously.
Life is so beautiful.
The title says it all. Stop thinking and go enjoy this book. It's funny. It's irreverent. There's tons of cussing. No harem. All fun, explosions, cynicism, and experience points. And a cat named Donut. This is exactly the kind of book I needed for winter break, so do yourself a favor, get this book on KU and just enjoy the madness of this easy-going romp through a post-apocalyptic dungeon universe.
During the interview, Carl said that Warnock was not a "socialist whack-job" and saying how it's offensive to call him a socialist as he " sits at the pulpit that Martin Luther King used to preach.
My issue is that Martin Luther King was a democratic socialist. He wrote about the failings of capitalism multiple times and spoke of class based struggles frequently. He wrote “I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic." As well as “Call it democracy, or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country for all God’s children.”
Now while I understand the term socialist has gotten many negative connotations and was used by loffeler and the right in general as a pejorative term, it's also wrong to erase the history of black socialists and King himself. Too often King is white washed into a figure who only fought for racial justice, which makes it easier to separate his racial and economic views, which were intrinsically intertwined. If you read Dr Kings work, and agree with his positions, then you likely align with democratic socialism.
I know that, especially with a show full of Cubans, understandably, there probably isn't going to be a defender of any type of socialism, but democratic socialism is a world away from Cuban communism.
Save the whales and working class
