Hi! I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I'm hoping you can help.
My brother has tasked me with crocheting him a sweater for Xmas next year and I know it will take me months to complete so I want to get a head start on it.
He has some requirements about it though and I'm looking for suggestions on where to start looking for a pattern or any advice in general (I mainly do plushies so this is my first large piece of clothing).
He wants it to button up in the front 1/2 - 1/3 of the way (if that makes sense) and a V-shaped neckline. Pockets are optional
If I'm not in the right place please let me know and I will take the post down.
I have a pattern for a cardigan I would like to make and I'm wondering what I have to do (if anything) to adjust the fit for men. Aside from making the cardigan longer, do I have to do anything for chest measurements versus bust measurements. The pattern (picture of the top of the pattern attached) goes by bust measurements for sizing and I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Sorry if this is a confusing question, but I really like the pattern and I've seen pictures of some people who have adapted it but I haven't been able to get in touch with them on Ravelry.
Thanks for any help!
Looking to buy a sweater/cardigan for my husband for Christmas. Flexible on spend. He likes button-down, wool, pockets. Trying to minimize shopping hours, so what are your go-to men's stores?
So I finally ordered the pattern for https://ravel.me/tamarack-for-him ....but this is way to complicated for me (new to circle needles ). Going to try reading them over 100 times to see if the instructions start to make sense.
Does anyone know of a simpler pattern for a shawl neck cardigan for a man?
Thinking I need to work my way up to the tamarack
Appreciate the help...I feel like I have searched everywhere for hours...hoping someone who has made one might be able to direct me to a easier pattern
Looking to buy men’s cardigans. Hype, cheap, whatever. I just need to get more cardigans! Let me know what you have and feel free to offer up more! Also looking for more accessories such as jewelry.
Looking to buy everything the title suggests. Honestly, I’m interested in a lot of well-made or funyk/hype clothing so if it’s S-M (maybe eleven large) shoot me a PM!
Just got my first pair of Jordan’s so I want to start collecting
Hey crochet fam! This is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm looking for a crochet pattern for a longline cardigan with shawl collar for men/unisex. Something along the lines of this knitted one I've seen online:
Closest I've found so far have been the following women's patterns, but they're not quite what I'm hoping to find. If nobody has an existing pattern, advice on adapting one of these would be amazing:
Does anyone know of any trustworthy sites where I can shop for a nice trench coat or cardigan suitable for tall, slim men?
I always seem to have the same issue... either a piece of outerwear will fit well around my slim torso BUT the sleeves are nearly at my elbow, or the sleeves will be just long enough for my arms BUT will sag like a trash bag around my torso.
Any help or advice is appreciated! I prefer online ordering, given our current state in the U.S, but if you know of any good stores that I can seek out in person, I’ll happily accept the tips. If it helps: I live in New England.

I’m a guy and I love cardigans. Absolutely love them. The thing is though...I can’t seem to find a good design for one for men. Can someone please make me one? Preferably with buttons if possible.
Edit: With a t-shirt under it please
Forgot to add to title - looks like it only applies to Navy or Heather Grey colors.
Decent deal on a cardigan I was planning to buy if it got below $60.
Should bring the total down to $42.80 + tax.
So I decided to make my husband a cardigan for Christmas but he picked out yarn that's 6 eight when it was supposed to be 5 and now it's...... HUGE......
So now I'm gonna just frog it and start over... but instead of buying yarn that's the right weight (since I paid just so much money for all this freaking yarn lol) I just gotta find a pattern I can make with it... or wing it, I guess... which I don't think I'm good enough for yet...
I'm much better with video patterns but I'll about any pattern as long as this yarn will work for it.
Edit: Could I possibly make this cardigan and just follow a smaller size as is and have the bigger weight make it larger.........? And if so, what size should I follow........
