First off, let me tell you that I am a compulsive researcher. Repladies has been such an amazing and fascinating place for me to learn about QCing, about going over the details, and finding out what’s important to me. I like to think that I educate myself as much as I can before I make a purchase. Before I even reach out to a seller, I go over a shit ton of reviews, YT videos, IG pics anything I can get my hands on about the bag. Another replady pointed me to 小红书 which is basically a platform similar to Instagram in China that has lots of posts about replicas vs authentics. Here is a collection of screenshots I compiled for those that are as obsessed as I am. I decided to go with Kelly as I got an amazing Alma bag from her (review here) and she impressed me with her ability to QC based on what is import... keep reading on reddit ➡
So this has been going on for a long time. In 2018 DH & I got engaged, a few months later I became pregnant. I dreamed of getting married in this beautiful church where my (now deceased) grandparents were married. Guys, it’s really hard to get a date in this church. This was April when I discovered I was pregnant (2 months pregnant) I was told I would want to get married no later than June for my already purchased dress to fit. I called the priest & he happened to have a date available the last weekend of June. It was agreed it was “meant to be”. We call DH parents. This date won’t work for them, they have a good friend getting married that day - BIL is in the wedding. They say we’ll have to find a different day, even if that means a different church. This was adult tantrum level stuff.. They never wanted us to get married at this church anyway because it was inconvenient for their guests. Anyway, we decide we’ll postpone the wedding but first we have a long convo with them abo... keep reading on reddit ➡
We've made it the the final showdown of the tournament. It's down to two - Jethro Tull and Camel. Ian Anderson vs Andy Latimer (sorry Camel singer, you're not the most remarkable in your band.)
no need to post the introductions again, you all know them at this point
Unfortunately this is the end of the road with me and tournaments. After this I'll start a short series highlighting prog songs that are unique within the genre (or "progressive" songs that aren't often considered prog. After that, in a few weeks, I'll significantly reduce the time I spend on reddit. (Sorry guys!)
Anyway, comment on who you're voting for and why. Looking forward to seeing the results!
I adopted my pup about three months ago. The shelter (a 7 hour drive, one way from where I live) had warned me that she was incredibly fearful and had a host of issues that would be incredibly difficult to work with. When I got her home, she was mortified of just about everything. If she saw other people or dogs half a block away, she would tuck her tail and try to run in the other direction, and if someone popped up real close she would bark and do the same. We’ve spent the last three months working super hard to overcome her fear issues, and we’ve made better than amazing progress. In the last few weeks, we’ve graduated to an off leash dog park close to my house. I put this off for a while for two reasons. One, she just wasn’t ready, and two, some owners are just assholes who shouldn’t have their dog at a dog park, or off a leash for that matter.
A little background on me, I’ve worked with dogs for about 16 years. 8 years in doggy daycare, and another 8 in shelters and various form... keep reading on reddit ➡
I stopped watching his videos around 2015-2017 because I started to get a creepy vibe from him and truly became a gremlin about three months ago when I learned that he wants there to be a sex licence instead of an age of consent (god just writing that is awful)
We're here. The final sixteen. Here's where I really have no idea who's going to win a lot of these matchups. Every artist here is a powerhouse, so this is going to be exciting. There will be two rounds a day, so look for the other poll once you've voted. Also, please upvote so more people can see the poll and vote.
This matchup is the fifth of eight matchups in the fourth round.
Here are yesterday's results:
"Camel has such an incredible discography, such as the instrumental Snow Goose, the beautiful Moonmadness, and my favorite album Mirage. Highly recommend people to check out The White Rider (song about Gandalf for you LOTR fans), Lady Fantasy (rocking out for 13 minutes), Rhayader (short instrumental), Another Night, Echoes, and Lunar Sea. For a complete album... keep reading on reddit ➡
all the cool guys at the crag do this and I was wondering if it's considered aid climbing. if it is allowed, does arc'teryx make cigarettes?
From an earlier post I think Byz camels are extremely strong in castle. I am going to run a series of tests to show how they outperform bloodline knights in many situations for EQUAL resources - i.e 1.6 camels for every knight. Some tests will be difficult to simulate archer micro. Am I missing any tests? Do you think any of my predictions are way off?
Pikeman. Likely result: camel win (=outperforms knight)
Crossbow. Likely result: knight win
Longswords. Likely result: equal performance
Skirms. Likely result: knight win
Light cav. Likely result: camels win
Monk. Likely result: camel win
Cav archer. Likely result: camels win
Mangonel. Likely result: Not sure
Knight. Likely result: camels win
Villager, buildings (not stone). Likely result: not sure/ even
Sone wall/ gate/ TC. Likely result: knight win
I had a look at them and from a stats point of view they cost the same as long-swordsman - 85 resources vs 80 and the same strength but with 60% more speed and domination against cavalry.
For their cost they fare well vs archer, the same as knights vs spearmen and the same vs long-swordsman.
This is all without needing to invest in bloodlines
Why aren’t they used more?
Eight artists remain. That's right, we're in single digits. Eight legends of progressive rock, or seven if you count Steven Wilson only once... This is going to be fun! There will be two rounds a day, so look for the other poll once you've voted. Also, please upvote so more people can see the poll and vote.
This is the third of four quarterfinal matchups.
