I donβt think there would be any predatory animal in the Cambrian era that would kill a human. I think levels of CO2 and O2 were different compared to what we have today.
I was pretty into the Forteller Cambrian on Kickstarter, but it doesn't look like it's going to be funded. Some people in the comments were saying that there are good alternatives at the price range, but I can't really think of any. Do you guys have any suggestions? In a lot of ways it ticks every last one of my boxes. Here's the picture if you haven't seen it:
I like a big crown with no guards, definitely at 3 o'clock, the bracelet being good quality and totally solid is important to me. The indices and dial I really like. Saphire crystal and drilled lugs are a nice plus. Also it comes with a bunch of great extras. Anyway, if you guys know of anything for around $200 that offers this kind of quality and features I'd love to know.
Thanks.
C'mon, gimme some more aliens reacting to fossils. I don't care how plausible or implausible this scenario is, Earth's early attempts at multicellular life are nigh incomprehensible even to us and I want to think about what might happen if aliens were taken to a museum or something that has an exhibit on the Cambrian Explosion.
Why is the pronunciations of these two words different in the beginning of the words when theyβre identical in spelling. Cambridge - came bridge and Cambrian - cam Bree-an. Would like some insight into the differences.
Thanks all!
Hi all!
I am new to Reddit, I joined because I am fascinated by the Cambrian Period/Cambrian Explosion. I was wondering if anyone knew of any media resources (podcasts, audiobooks, movies) that they recommend on the subject! Books are also welcome, however I prefer resources that I can listen to because I have ADHD. I have seen David Attenborough's First Life and listened to all the podcast episodes I could find that mentioned the Cambrian Period. Thanks so much for your help, I'm so excited to be joining this community!
I'm VERY interested in the flora and fauna of the Cambrian Explosion and would like to learn more, any good sources you guys know about? Thanks!
While Scuba diving with the team in the Cambrian we have come across two species of extraordinary organisms; Oryctocephalus (trilobite) and the infamous Anomalocaris!
The Anomalocaris is a young individual and is around 0.45 meters and is named Deathstroke. We have also brought 4 trilobites named Rob, Bob, Cob and Frank von Holtzstein.
Deathstroke will be housed in a 9,000 liter tank with sandy substrate and will be fed small pieces of fish. Trilobites are housed separately.
These are our first residents from the Cambrian and we hope to add to this exhibit.
