This is a repost of mine from 6 months ago, I felt you all would appreciate it. I originally posted it on this sub first, but I figured theres plenty of new people who hadn't seen it.
"I had originally posted this in the other thread about cattle, but I decided it deserved its own thread and I did not want to distract from the OPs story.
So I live in Kentucky, in the city now, but we lived way out in the country when I was younger in a very old, giant farmhouse. My family got it for cheap because it was falling apart and the basement would flood and have a crawfish infestation because it was so old, the basement floor was basically dirt and mud. I was also abducted at this house twice, but thats a story for another day. My dad and I would go on walks across the property to our neighbors pond to fish, he allowed us free access. This neighbor also owned a herd of cattle. One day we were walking there, and at the top of a very tall tree, it had to have been 40-50 feet off the ground, there was a young calf quite simply impaled on one of the top branches. It had not been stormy for days, so it could not have been a freak tornado. This was over 20 years ago but I will never forget that moment. It is one of the things that convinced me there's so much to this world we do not understand."
