Disclaimer: I originally created this tool for WSB, but it looks like I am muted there for some reason, so I figured I would share on some other subs where people are also talking about GME.

This whole experience has been (and will be) a crazy trip, but you don't want to be the one caught holding the bag when it eventually comes crashing down to earth. **HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY.** Everyone has different levels of expendable capital and risk tolerance. Some of us can afford to YOLO away six-figure investments, while others would be more than happy to simply turn a few hundred dollars into a grand.

Your exit strategy should depend on how much money you are comfortable losing, and how much profits you would be happy taking. I'm not here to tell you what your strategy should be, but I did make a tool so you can figure it out for yourself: Exit Strategy Calculator (Google Sheet)

**HOW TO USE THE EXIT STRATEGY PLANNER**

- Note 1: **This is for shares only**. I'm not smart enough to make this work for options.

- Note 2: The link I provided is READ ONLY, so the first step is to **make a copy** for your own use (File --> make a copy)

- **Now, enter your current position.** Provide the number of shares you have in A3, and your average cost basis in B3 (these cells are highlighted in yellow). Your total investment will automatically calculate in C3.

- **Columns E-F are the ROI calculator.** Column F tells you what the share price will need to reach in order to hit the ROI listed in Column E. Column G tells you what your total value would be at that share price.

- **Columns I-K are your break-even analysis**, which basically tells you what the share price would need to be for you to break even by selling X number of your shares, and what your profit would be if you sold all of them at said price. *You will probably want to adjust the #s in Column I based on how many shares you currently have in your position*. Columns J & K will automatically update when you do.

- **Columns M-N calculate your profits at different share prices.** How much money will you make if you sell when GME hits $80? What about $100, or

^(Nut Prod / Day = Nutrition produced by the animal per day. Nut Con = Nutrition Consumed, Nut Con / Day for 60 is the Nutrition Consumed by the # of animals required to produce 60 nutrition a year.)

Wiki is actually pretty up-to-date for this stuff but the info is pretty difficult to use to compare animals with. That said, this graph (while totally true) doesn't translate well to in-game decisionmaking, and I kinda made it that way to help ease people into thinking about the lil' things; nutritional inefficiency with smaller animals and other sources of work like the work to milk an animal, make kibble, etc. is all necessary to get an accurate picture.

First thing worth discussing is why / when animals eat. Herbivores get hungry when their nutrition is at 45% of their body size. Omnivores and carnivores get hungry when this number is at 30%. Once they hit this number, their next "wander" job is replaced in their mind with a job to go and eat. Animals try to eat as much as possible to fill their nutrition bar to full, up to 1 nutrition (20 units) per eating job. In addition, animals are wasteful eaters. Food consumed is rounded up but the animals don't get any value from excess consumed. This mainly results in two things: a nutritional inefficiency in many animals based on overeating and Hunger Rate being a poor indicator of how much food is actually consumed in a day. While not normally a big issue in the wild due to an abundance of food for most of the year, this is significant in a barn environment where you're footing the bill.

The chicken wakes up with <.03 nutrition, and eats 4 kibble to get a full stomach. With a body size of .18, by default the chicken has wasted .02 nutrition minimum. All the extra is just wasted.

Why do this?

- TSLA would have to find some synergies with GME. Maybe use their retail locations as information centers for selling their cars.
- He can spin this off as a publicity move to βbail-outβ the little guy and take a stand against blatant market manipulation. Remember, S Elonβs C.
- $29b is just 3.6% of TSLA market cap. That means even if it was worth nothing, it would only be a 3.6% drop in stock price after they announce that deal.

Why did old games tie physics calculations to framerate?

Or, I should say, why didn't they untie it?

A common physics calculation might be something like object.position += velocity, and this would happen every frame. The only problem is that this assumes a constant framerate. If the framerate dips, the object will move more slowly.

Modern games fix this problem by multiplying the increment by the "time since the last frame" or "delta". So the formula would be object.position += velocity * delta.

My question is: why didn't old games do this? If you play something like Mario 64 and the game lags, everything will slow down. Play any newer game and it won't have this issue (Unless it's made by someone like Bethesda).

I don't think it's because of slower hardware. One extra floating point operation per game object isn't REALLY that much, especially since these games usually had strict limits on the number of active physics objects.

All calculations are done using what I think most people would consider to be a standard gear setup, and you can judge for yourself if you agree with me on that.

Because it takes a while to do these, I will be periodically editing the post with new monsters. If you have anything you want to see calculations for, please comment and I'll try to get to it.

(I ignored bats and blobs because their total hp is so low.)

Jal-ImKot (melee) - New bp will be a 17.98% dps reduction, equating to roughly 1.25 seconds (or 1 extra hit) per kill.

Jal-Xil (ranger) - New bp will be a 16.67% dps reduction, equating to about 1.85 extra seconds per kill.

Jal-Zek (mage) - New bp will be a 21.96% dps reduction, equating to about 5.2 extra seconds per kill.

JalTok-Jad (Jad) - New bp will be a 32.89% dps reduction, equating to about 17.2 extra seconds per kill.

Jal-MejJak (zuk healers) - New bp will be a 17.52% dps reduction, equating to about 1.25 extra seconds per kill.

If you do a 3 set zuk, you will have to kill a total of 36 melees, 37 rangers, 36 mages, 4 jads (ignoring the zuk jad, since you can't bp that anyway), and 4 zuk healers. In terms of purely time lost, not including the fact that you will take more damage and potentially have to wait for extra shield cycles, you will have approximately 6 minutes and 15 seconds of extra time spent purely dpsing down monsters. In comparison, it currently takes 31 minutes total to dps down all of the listed monsters, meaning it will take just over 20% longer purely in terms of dpsing with bp (and of course not including thing like barraging nibblers, waiting for melees to dig, solving waves, and dealing with the two lower level enemies). This is obviously lower if you have a t bow.

Here are some calculations for inferno with rune darts instead. The TL:DR of it is that rune darts suffer less than dragon darts because dragon darts go from 30 max hit to 26, but rune go from 28 to 25.

-- Vorkath - Here I switched to rune/addy darts since dragon darts at vorkath are impractical.

With no defense reduction, the proposed bp has 31.52% less dps than the current one. This will add 22.7 seconds to each kill on average (not including interactions with vorkath's special attacks).

With 1 dwh spec, the new bp will have 25.12% less

An Answer to the Economic Calculation Problem

Recently, I listened to a debate between David Friedman and two Ancoms. While giving his twenty minute talk, David Friedman posed the challenge of economic calculation within a socialist society, to which the ancoms answered, Swarm.

Swarm is a technology which gathers data to make future predictions. For example, it was able to predict winners of the Kentucky derby, or it has even been able to out predict experts as to who will receive a grammy award. In theory, this sort of technology could be used to collect information about the market, such that a centralized planner can determine the wants of consumers, and how to organize resources to achieve satisfying those wants.

I would be interested to see how you guys answer this objection.

What are some of the most powerful and useful but easy calculations more people should learn how to use?

Turn 4 Tibalt possible in 22% of games with Jund Midrange: calculations and deck tech

We're no longer in the realm of Magical Christmas Land. *(Maybe Magical Yuletide Land, cuz Kaldheim).* Unless an emergency errata, rules change, or ban comes our way, turn 4 Tibalt, Cosmic Imposter is something that your deck will need to prepare an answer for.

To clarify, we're not talking about Turbo Tibalt where we warp our whole deck around cascade cards with no other 1-2 CMC cards like a new Living End variant. We're talking about a 2021 powercreeped revamp of good ole classic Jund Midrange, which suddenly has a 22% chance (hypothetically at least) of dumping out 10 mana worth of cards on turn 4. Who's the Tron deck now?

First, let me introduce a sample brew that I'll be running my calculations through. It also has a deck tech with information about how the combo works for the uninitiated, as well as more detail on my card choices (like why I'm running Magmatic Channeler over Tarmogoyf): Jund Tibalt Midrange

Second, let me introduce you to the Hypergeometric Calculator. This is how you can calculate for all things statistical in Magic or other card games. *(I know you always wondered about the chances of opening Exodia. Hint: (40, 5, 5, 5))*. My calculations after each item will follow the format of the four fields descending (Population size, Number of successes in population, Sample Size, Number of successes in sample) and will use the last cumulative probability of P (X>=x) in each case, since we only need at least one of each card in question. So onto the math; you can skip to the following section if you aren't interested in the calculations.

To get it out of the way, the simplest calculation is the chance of cascading Bloodbraid Elf into Tibalt with zero setup. There are 32 possible cascade results, and 4 of them are Valki/Tibalt. So that's a 4/32 = 1/8 chance of lucksacking into Tibalt.

Another consideration (I went into further detail in my deck tech, see my first link) is that if you have a Valki in hand, getting it into the grave for the Witch's Cottage setup is so trivial that I'm considering it 100%. We literally only play two spells (both Kroxas) in our deck that are unable to put Valki in our grave, not to mention that our opponents will do us the favor most of the time.

The last note I'll make is that proper land sequencing with this deck means playing your shocks

I did some calculations on the buy GME retard we sent to the moon

As we all know the fellow retard who recommended we buy GME instead of wasting money on reddit awards and we proceeded to bombard in true WSB style.

I added up all the individual awards and the costs as of the time starting there was 4990 awards.

Turns out a total of 2,411,187 coins had been spent on awards, this equates to $7670.49 at the standard reddit price of β¬214.99 for 82000 coins. (converted to dollars using current rate)

This could have been 407.1 shares of GME or 325.7 shares of Pltr at current prices.

Hey again! My physics class is more focused around calculations than concepts so I end up asking many question, sorry guys. The potential difference is measured in J/C Does that mean that it is a measurement of how much energy the source of voltage can give to a charged particle of 1 C?

Or is it a measurement of how much energy the source of voltage can provide per each colomb of its overall charge?

theory vs calculation

One odd (to me) fact encountered in calculus/analysis is that more functions can be integrated than differentiated and yet derivatives seem to be easier to find. I donβt know this for sure, but Iβm inclined to think more functions have a closed form derivative than integral. Also, I havenβt done much numerical analysis, but I think even there derivatives were a bit easier to handle.

Do others agree with the general sentiment here, and, if so, is there an intuitive way to think about this? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Zhong Li buff calculations post 1.3 (87.4% gain to Auto Attacks)

This is based on the stats from what I consider a "standard" Zhong Li DPS build

**On AVG there is a 23% increase in Normal attacks with just the HP buff.**

**If you add in the new Resistance Shred it is an AVG of 44% increase in Normal attacks.**

Add in other buffs and Crescent Pike damage and the overall dps increase should be "considerable."

Fact of the matter is overall Zhong Li would probably be better off as a support/burst dps unit. Assuming the buffs work out like how I'm expecting he's probably low S tier support in a lot of comps. Especially against boss encounters where it's just 1 mob (like the new Geo dragon). In Abyss levels where it's only 2-3 units he's also very good.

For those that want to run him as Main Carry (myself included) I think he'll still be high A tier and maybe very low S tier.

Seems quite good to me but we'll see how that translate to actual gameplay next week.

Did some calculations on church membership for y'all

I use this website for data, so this is all straight from the church. I assume that each congregation has around 130 active members, averaging between the low amounts in branches and the higher amounts in wards. And even if nobody sees this, I had fun doing it :)

Edit: total membership, congregations, and number of temples per continent are data from the website. All the other figures are my calculations. Members per congregation=total membership/congregations; congregations based on number of members=total membership/130; active members=congregations*130; activity rate=my active members number/total membership; number of members per temple=total membership/number of temples.
