Growing up, my mom always called Build Me Up Buttercup the “(her maiden name) family song”. When asked why, she’d say, “I don’t know, it just is!” I assume everyone in the family just really liked it.
I’d kind of forgotten about the song until hearing it in a commercial recently, then put it on to play just now. In wedding planning, I’ve thought a lot about certain traditions because I don’t have parents - bio dad was never in the picture and mom passed four years ago. So especially when it comes to the dances, I’ve been wondering what to do. Listening to the song tonight gave me the brilliant idea - after the first dance, rather than doing father/daughter or mother/son dances, we’ll do a whole family dance where everyone in his family and mine will be invited to dance to Build Me Up Buttercup.
I’ll probably cry buckets during it, but there will be happy tears in there, too.
We did this all the time as kids in Britain, and I need to know if the reference will fall flat in my application to an American college - Pomona College, California if it's relevant.

So here is my first competition! Let's hope I get it right.
US only because I somehow have a prime free trial that I don't fully understand :-)
Tell me which of the three items (Twizzlers, Hershey's Cookies and Cream Bar, Reese's Peanut Buttercups) is your favourite! Amazon doesn't deliver snacks to my country, but these are the US options I have found here, so looking for some local advice!
In case I use randomizer, please include the word "Lekker" (It means sweet in Afrikaans)
Have something $5ish on your WL.
I will close this on Monday, 7pm my time (so this time Monday, 15th Feb.) and then post the winner.
I hope that's right!
What music would you want lined up for a cozy cuddle by the fireplace?
