Like the title says, I absolutely love my 2018 M. Easy to use, easy to clean, easily pocketable, and packs a massive punch.
However, I'm getting really frustrated with butane torches. I currently have 3 in the hopes that I will always have a working one. One Honest Torch (that works amazingly well and then just dies and won't light, second time now...) a Coleman camping torch that is decent but the tank is super small and it gets hot quickly, and a shitty corner store torch for extreme backup.
I'm not interested in an induction heater as I really like the routine of using a lighter. Does anyone have any good suggestions for lighters? I'm in Canada if it makes a difference!
A gallon of water. Butane is lighter fluid.
So I recently started helping some people out with running their system, I’ve been in the chemical industry for a while so it really didn’t take but a minute for me to catch on. Here’s the thing I’m starting to ask questions about the process that no one seems to have an answer to. I’m not a forum person or a social media person and I know you guys don’t like people who won’t even search the forum for answers but I’m in a pinch.
For our micro camper (Citroën Berlingo) we are using our trusted Camping Bistro with butane cartridges. We will never cook inside the van with the doors/windows closed, but we want to make sure that it is 'safe' to store the gas and stove inside the car will sleeping.
What kind of detector would we need to detect possible gas leaks and/or lack of oxygen inside? Given that the space inside a Berlingo is really confined, we want to be extra cautious.
Was also thinking of storing the gas cartridges inside a airtight container?
This is the butane in question. Link to amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JORB2M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_P3VzEb0TX12H0
I'm looking for one that has an all glass heat path, but I can't confirm all of them. (Wood is ok...unless I find out it may be unhealthy)
If you have another recommendation outside the list that would be great.
Sup all, just got a honest butane lighter for my dynavap. I've tried googling but always get linked to brands not available in NZ. Any brands or just things to look out for? Otherwise just gonna buy the 5x refined samba stuff from countdown
CHS or Butane Poisoning?
Hey guys, so i have been smoking pretty heavily for the last year and a half(been smoking since 16 just really heavily for a year 1/2). A week ago i started getting stomach and lower abdominal pain.. everything else seemed fine tho, i was still eating a ton, drink lots of water, etc.. but two days ago i was taking a big dab before bed like i always do and not even 30min later i puked, a pretty good bit but only that one session and then i went to bed and woke up the next day fine but couldnt eat much(still ate enough to suffice though). Didnt smoke all day just in case and then at night before bed i took another dab and went to sleep.. this time tho, i woke up feeling worse than i ever have, felt like i hadnt eaten in a year and my lower abdomen was dying.. i tried eating and couldnt do it, literally couldnt swallow anything... it would make me gag... so i said screw it and took a dab thinking it might help(dumb ik) and threw up like 30min later. Its been abou... keep reading on reddit ➡
Butane, because it's lighter fluid...
Pretty sure it's the same as the same as the Coleman.
Want to be sure I'm buying the right canisters for it.
Is odorized butane okay to use in a lighter for cigars? I’m only seeing odorized butane available locally.
nitrogen is commonly used to help with pressure to move stagnant solvent under vacuum.
if using only butane as solvent, could propane gas be used as a propellant?
as long as temp is right it would stay vapor and souldn't homogenize with the butane during recovery. it is lighter and has a lower boiling point than butane, and less expensive than n2.
feedback is appreciated
edit: not good idea. using pure propane isnt economical. i just need better n2 source
I'm wanting to buy a butane burner for cooking different asian style foods but have no idea on what's good etc. Any suggestions? I've heard Itawani is one of the best brands but are most burners $100 about the same in terms of performance? Ideally looking to spend less than $80. My asian market has some but again I don't want to get a piece of crap and don't know what to look for. Any suggestions are very helpful.
I would like to hear if anyone owns or has used a device that could deliver like the Ghost, but with butane. I have a Dyna and well as a SB Runt. The Dyna is more conduction and the Runt is great, but I'd like the type of device that has a little something between the flame and the herb. I've done some research, but I'd love to hear from anyone who want to answer. To sum it up, the best butane, on-demand, convection, flavor producing mofo.
i am thinking to buy dynavape because of the price but does it worth it to add some money and get electric? which is better for every two weeks? I think that the butane because the parts dont decay but it might be really annoying
No matter what i eat or drink I keep getting bad smelling farts, I even started drinking more water, I might have a small lactose intolerance but other than that nothings wrong. It's been like this for 4 weeks, and does diet play a role in this? I'm guessing yes.
So, I just realized i've been using one of the more (possibly the most) contaminated cans of butane (Neon 5x) for my torch, which I only use for dabbing.
I always get the cheapest can of butane because i'm a frugal stoner, and today I looked up the differences between cheap and expensive butane, and I learned that cheaper cans tend to have more contaminants. I know this causes issues in lighters and torches, but i'm more concerned as to the health effect it will have. IDC about the butanes effect on my glass or torch.
As most of you know, the torch is only touching burning the nail, not burning anything directly, and i'm not inhaling while butane is in function (I even avoid the smell when refilling/torching).
So, is butane quality important for my circumstance? and if so, what risk is my frugality imposing on me?
I actually find this method to be a lot more reliable than trying to strike it on a rough surface.
I use a lighter everyday, but I smoke marijuana (and an occasional great cigar), not cigarettes. I do smoke the marijuana cigarette variety, but mainly glass. With that being said, is a butane replacement the way to go? Do they work well? I feel like zippo lighter fluid with a water pipe would not be recommended. Please let me know your thoughts. I really want to own a zippo style lighter again!!
Hello all. Long time lurker here. I'm learning that there are a lot of "suppliers" of butane/propane/mix gas for extraction. At the end of the day, I'm worried about the quality of the gas and of course the price.
So who do you buy your gas from and how much are you paying in your part of the country?
(Note: If you hate butane/propane extraction, I get it. I don't though, and I'm just trying to gather info.)
No matter how much you have, butane will always be a lighter fluid.
My lighter ran out of juice so I bled the tank and refilled it. The flint sparks but it doesnt sound like any fuel is getting through, what can I do?
This is my torch:
EAGLE TORCH POCKET TORCH GUN ASSORTED COLORS 4" PACK OF 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M5BWQ5F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_s0bxEbES560Q5
Was looking at this refill:
Zippo Butane Fuel, 78g https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071DFY6CW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_n2bxEbQW3KV7H
Can anyone with the same torch tell me if this will work? Worried my torch hole may be too small. Here’s a picture
I'm planning on buying a Zippo butane insert and want to know are they metal or plastic like thunderbird inserts.
I’m on the hunt for a mid priced soft flame lighter. On Amazon just about everything seems to have mixed reviews, more so than other things.
I have the Zippo pipe lighter, but really dislike it. Gets crazy hot, and the taste of the lighter fluid is displeasing. I got a dual butane insert, but it unreliable.
I know everyone likes matches, but I would prefer a refillable lighter.
Simple as the title says!
Seems the overwhelming majority chooses:
Butane: Dynavap (no surprise) with love for the Lotus and Brick-types
Portable: Mighty (also not much surprise)
Desktop: Toss up between Flowerpot, Evo, and Volcano
(un)Surprisingly, no one said Pax!
I picked up a couple boxes, another lighter and electric humidifier last week. I am a weekly Tuesday shipper. I saw an auction for butane, the Xikar puro, and added it on Friday. The bid looked to win today and only then I noticed the shipping disclaimer regarding butane. Shipping can take up to 3 weeks. I did not want my god of fires sitting on a truck that long. I contacted them and while it is a hassle because of their packaging and shipping procedures their CS was very understanding of the situation. She made a note to cancel the butane and graciously waived the restock fee after noting that I have a very clean history with them. The hassle is they will have to pull the shipment, remove the butane and relabel for normal shipping which I expect to slow the process. My fault for bidding without reading the disclaimer and happy they took the effort to help me out.
My point to that long winded explanation is advising others - **Don't order butane if you have cigars coming in... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hello I just purchased my first UV heady and I do not own a UV light. I was wondering if anyone could send links to where they bought theirs. The color is glass alchemy nova. While I’m here I was gonna ask you serious dabbers where the best place to buy butane and iso alcohol (highest grade) in bulk is? I’m tired of buying $10 cans of butane and find only the small bottles of high grade alcohol locally.
Anyone ever hear anout using butane to clean your ice.
Push a lil in your bag and watch the ice seperate from the powder as it evapotatea seperating certain cuts from the good stuff?
Just fucking atound and tried it seems legit everything broke down...then powder stayed in bottom corner and little crystals popped up on top i easily rubbed the two apart. Again just fucking atound a am curious if anyone else does this
Also have a Yocan iShred but it isn’t the best. Battery is weak. Found it on the to avoid list about a month or so after I got it. It does work and they have good customer service since I did have to redeem the warranty for a new top a few weeks ago. The bowl and top on it are harder to clean and the temps seem a little inaccurate. Also no WPA but in a pinch it’ll get the job done. Happy with the inexpensive nature of the XMax V2 for 98$ I got it, a glass top, 4 pc grinder, 3.5 stash can, extra battery and the WPA from POTV and used Sezzle. 25$ bi weekly so super cost effective and nice so far.
not all of the butane was cooked off in my shatter and i c a n t a s t e i t
Anyone have an opinion on this vape? I’m very intrigued in it and an experienced butane user. Is it worth a grabbin’?
A gallon of water. Butane is a lighter fluid.
